My previous review did not recommend the shirt due difficulty opening snaps. An associate at a store that sells the shirt showed me that shirt will not tear by pulling hard on the snaps. My worry about tearing the shirt is now gone. Just pull and the snaps will open. I highly recommend this great shirt.

Wanted to love this shirt - it has nice features, like the unterior pocket on the inside of the chest pocket, UPF protection, light weight, lens cleaner on the inside. Three things hold it back for me, though. 1) the shirt is kinda shiny. I bought it in the blue plaid and the grey, and both are shiny. The shiny fabric keeps the shirt form being more versatile, for me, and there are better technical options for sun protection without the comrpomises this shirt comes with. 2) The snaps on my shirts were not as bad as some of the other reviews indicated, but I did have to pull quite hard on the sleeve cuff snap to open them, and the action ripped the inside of the cuff split. 3) The shirt does gets a C on breathability. It's not the worst, but I'd rather be wearing ... Great warm weather shirt but a knife or other tool is required to open the snaps. I bought the shirt three times hoping one would have good snaps but they are all bad. Returning them all. Can’t get the shirt on so one star.
