L'Occitane Shea Shower Cream 250ml

The L’Occitane Lavender Cleansing Hand Wash leaves hands clean, fresh, and lightly scented. The gentle, non-drying lather won’t disturb the skin’s natural pH balance – just washed hands are left soft and comfortable. Lavender was one of the first flowers distilled by Olivier Baussan, the founder of L’OCCITANE. Known in Provence as “blue gold,” this plant is an aromatic tribute to the south of France. It is the fragrant soul of the region, the fruit of respectful labor. L’OCCITANE uses lavender that is sourced from farmers’ cooperatives in Haute-Provence. While exploring his native Provence nearly 25 years ago, Olivier Baussan created L’Occitane by capturing the region’s most subtle fragrances and blending them with natural ingredients. Using the traditional method of extraction, he developed L’Occitane’s very first products based on essential oils extracted from local plants. From his rustic roots in Provence, Olivier dreamed of discovering new horizons, to travel beyond his native land and experience other cultures. In keeping with this spirit, L’Occitane developed a humanitarian-partnership with African women. In the Burkina Faso village in Africa, the native women harvest Shea nuts and are the co-producers of L’Occitane’s complete Shea Butter Collection. Thus, it is a tale of Provence meets Africa on ethical grounds. Today, L’Occitane focuses on protecting the fading traditions and vanishing techniques that everyone should be enjoying. L’Occitane breathes new life into these authentic customs by recreating the genuine articles such as its famous “Marseilles Soaps” as well as the revival of its Verbena and Lavender Harvests each year.

On Day-3 of using it day and night, the skin on my arms were softer, smoother and slightly moist but not sticky. There also appeared to be a protective barrier to the skin on my thighs and legs in general, which I absolutely loved. I liked it better compared to the oil/water type of shower gel I’m so used to. It had a light clean smell to it which was wonderful and didn’t interfere with my perfume. I bought the second bottle before even finishing the first one!

Bring Back Previous Scent and Consistency, Lose the Pump

New scent overpowering & chemical. Old scent subtle natural shea. Old consistency more liquid & latherable, required less product during use. Pump dispenser can't be recycled, requires removal to access product when contents low. An inverted bottle/tube would be better.

I have to say, after trying the Shea Butter Shower Cream, I noticed that my skin stay moisturised throughout the day. Plus the scent is light without being overpowering.I also love that I can use this for both my hair and body, which make this shower cream a great product to bring to my workout classes. The bottle fits perfectly in my gym bag.

Moisturising
16 March 2023

Im a big fan of the almond series, however i tried the shea butter shower cream and amazed by the new experience. The lotion like texture (creamy) made my skin felt moisturized after every use. Sometimes i just leave it on a little longer because its just smooth and soothing especially on dry area ( i have dry itching wrist due to wearing watch) and after using this product, its no longer dry and the itch gone. Only the smell is abit too strong on my nose. But ok after rinse

Redemption from bad ratings and new use!
2 May 2023

This product as a shower cream in the sense of washing yourself may not be well received, however, as a shaving cream, it is lovely. Particularly for women shaving their legs. It isn't meant to wash you. It has a far superior use to coat the skin and let it sit a bit for deep moisture. This makes it ideal to use for softening hair on legs or underarms (anywhere for that matter) and shaving. If I was judging this on a shower wash alone, I would give it the same low ratings, but if you use it for what I suggest, you will find it is a wonderful product. My teenage daughters use it exclusively to shave, as do I.

Straight Garbage
12 February 2023

I used the original Shea Butter Shower Cream for more three years,...buying at LEAST 10 bottles at every purchase, that is how much I used to love them! Now they've switched yet ANOTHER formula to sensitive and not only does it NOT LATHER, it stinks like manufactured putty! Like why mess with a good thing....oh yeah, for the sake of cutting costs. And not everyone has sensitive skin, but the best part about the original formula is that it was even delicate enough for sensitive skin! You guys got it all wrong with this one LOCCITANE!!!

Strange chemical smell
15 February 2023

This shower cream reformulation leaves a distinctly different (unfortunately not in a good way) smell to the shower cream comparing to the previous formula. I did a side by side comparison with the previous shower cream. Both are creamy and soft enough, but this new formula has a strong smell to it, akin to chemical. Not the lovely scent you associate with L'Occitane products. I'm pretty sure the customer service response to this reformulation is due to "clean pledge/ingredients", etc. If that is the case, how about just make one fragrance-free? I can use the shea body lotion after this "clean" shower cream and still get the lovely fragrance. Please let your R&D folks know this "clean" product (along other reformulated"clean" products) with the chemical smell is ... MoreThis shower cream reformulation leaves a distinctly different (unfortunately not in a good way) smell to the shower cream comparing to the previous formula. I honestly don't think the two products will feel much different, but hopefully the latter one without the chemical smell. Marketing would have you believe this Shower Cream is superior to the Ultra Wash; I am not convinced. The Ultra Rich Wash also comes in a refillable pack, and this shower cream does not.I am not excited about this shower cream. Buyers beware, please.

Strange chemical smell
22 March 2023

Has a horrible chemical smell. Nothing like the white shower cream I've been using for years. I do not recommend and will not purchase, hoping you will accept the return. Please bring back the old formula. And, please tell your sales people it is not the same formula, misleading and disappointing.

Super Moisturizing with a fresh clean scent.
12 March 2023

I absolutely love this shower cream! The scent is like non other, clean and spring like. The shower cream itself is very moisturizing, which I love. I have dry skin, so it's nice to not have to put on a tub of cream and lotion on after showering with this product. I don't know why this product has such bad reviews, but if you want to feel moisturized and smell spring clean, this is the product for you.

Why did you change this??!
4 February 2023

The Shea Butter Shower Cream was my absolute favorite body wash; super hydrating, not heavily fragrant and perfect for my sensitive skin. I went to refill my Shower Cream this week and this is what has replaced it. I was told by the associate that it is the same exact formula but in new packaging, however, it is not. It is a thicker consistency in an awkward pump bottle and it has so much fragrance in it that it's overwhelming. Why did you change it L'Occitane?! The original Shower Cream was perfect as it was!
