At the time my hair was feeling very dry and worse for wear and I was contemplating chopping a large portion of it off to try and refresh my long hair. This product is so affordable and has been a part of my hair care routine ever since I tried it. \n\n2 years on and I still use this product every week. \nWhen washing my hair I use my normal shampoo and conditioner, then I apply this hair mask to the dryer portions of my hair (typically the ends of my hair). As directed I let the product sit for 3-5 minutes and when rinsed out you should have silky soft and shiny hair. \nIf I am in a rush and don't have quite enough time to do that long and extensive process instead of using my regular shampoo and conditioner before hand I replace my conditioner with the hair mask. \n\nPros: \n- Cheap, very affordable\n- Leaves hair, shiny, silky and soft\n- Protects and strengthens hair strands after washed out \n- Leaves hair more manageable\n\nCons: \n- When the product is almost finished some of the formula will dry up and get stuck to the side of the tub\n- If any of the formula ends up on the shower floor and isn't rinsed away it will stick there and be very difficult to remove\n- The oil residue on left behind on your shower floor from the product after washing your hair will attract dirt and grime. I recommend using AJax Professional bathroom cleaner to get this off once you start seeing dirt buildup on the tiles. \n\nI have very straight long dark hair that is relatively thick and this product works fantastically for my hair type. \n

Did not smooth my frizzy hair

The product is a clear oil that absorbs readily into the hair, and does not leave a residue. It has a mild and pleasant scent, which I could smell faintly after I applied it to my hair. I think it would be good to use on wet hair just before using heat styling products, however I rarely use heat styling products. I have naturally curly hair, which can be frizzy and dry, and this product advertises that it is for dry hair, but it did not seem to make much difference to the frizz of my hair, and I used quite a bit more than recommended. The directions say to use 3 or 4 drops, but the dispenser gives out much more than that.

Extraordinary Elvive Extraordinary Oil

This Extraordinary Oil makes my wiry hair so soft and glossy especially after applying the oil in my hair before blow drying. I love the feel of the oil which is not too oily and my hair just soaks it up and looks rejuvenated. I have coloured hair which has become wiry and dry with age. I’m in the older age group and really welcome this product which works wonderfully well, looks luxurious in the bottle and has a subtle fragrance that exudes sophistication. I love this oil and highly recommend it.

Not for me.

I bought this oil years ago, as my hair was/is prone to flyaways & frizz. I couldn't remember why I didn't keep using it, so I thought I would give it another try. I like the look of the bottle, but am afraid of using it in my bathroom in case I drop it on the floor and it smashes! I tried it on both wet and dry hair and only used a tiny amount, as I have fine hair. My hair felt really nice and soft at first, but it went greasy and stringy within hours of using it. It didn't really help my frizz either. It did smell really nice though!

Not the best for fine hair.

I bought this to try and add more protection and shine to my coloured and fine, dark hair. It makes my hair oddly greasy and doesn’t dry down after a shower and air dry/a hair dryer. Then I stopped adding the hair oil to my hair while it was wet (even though it was advertised to be able to be done on wet hair) and I still got the odd results. I think this is best suited for thicker hair. Not for me sadly.

Very nourishing but not my favourite scent

This is a lovely product and definitely feels hydrating & nourishing. I’m not certain if it’s a heat protectant or not so just be aware! Purchased to see if it was similar to Keratase elixir and find L’Oréal is more nourishing. However I don’t like the scent which is why I’ve given it 4 stars, and also prefer knowing Keratase is a heat protectant. But at this price - a fantastic product!

Wonderful smell and deep conditioning

This is one of the best conditioning masks I have tried, repeat purchase. I only wash my hair once or twice a week and use this as my conditioner. I have really curly frizzy hair and it really tames it, not perfectly smooth but gives it a lot of conditioning, I also follow up with the Extraordinary oil before styling, which has the same wonderful smell, so it is also good for refreshing between washes.

Worth it - even if it's not on sale!

I bought this because I went from virgin dark brown hair to blonde.. to silver.. and now pink and lost at least a good 6 inches of length doing so. I have really dry hair now and overall it's pretty messed up now. I've been buying all kinds of masks and leave in conditioners but oh my god nothing has EVER - not even my healthy virgin hair - EVER made my hair as silky and soft as this product. My hair went from not stretching at all just breaking at the slightest pull to stretching quite a bit in just two uses... I'm shocked. It's worth every penny. And it does seem to be lasting a while given the fact 100ml doesn't seem like a lot. I've ordered myself another one now it's on sale even though i still have 90% of my forst bottle!!
