I was excited to try this product as my brow technician friend told me about using castor oil on brows ans lashes, so my hopes were high.Unfortunately, they were not met. I found it really drying on my lashes, and therefore made them clump together and look bitty along the length of the lash.The style of wand also made it hard to apply without making a mess, and getting mascara ony eye lid and under eye area.The only way i could use it successfully was along side other products. So i used a primer, this product and then another mascara to help separate and declump my lashes. I don't think it was worth the effort, and would not recommend. I really like the original Paradise mascara and this version is equally great. I'm not sure a side by side comparison will show much difference on how extra black it is unless you have very fair lashes to start with.This mascara goes on easily and smoothly with little to no clumping. I only needed one application for fuller and fluttery lashes that looked and felt fluffy not crispy.It lasted well and stayed soft all day with only minimal flaking but only towards the end of the day.I'm not keen on eye products containing fragrance so that is my little gripe and although I like the fluffy brush that makes application easy I do with it had a smaller tip for the harder to reach lashes.Apart from that I love this mascara.

Awful product

So disappointed with this mascara. Ever since the first use it has been dry and clumpy. It doesnt provide length just really unnatural volume. Its inpossible to coat my lashes without too much being applied and the lashes sticking together. It smudges and also irritates my eyes. It is marketed as a 'pleasure to apply' and non irritating when the reality is the exact opposite. I cant believe how bad it is actually. Horrible mascara!

Great lash primer. Does what it says.

I’d not tried one before but got this after a recommendation from an MUA on social media. Her lashes always look great. I used this with my usual mascara (younique) and it does what it says. I really like it and it doesn’t seem to flake off or anything and I don’t get massive spidery lashes, just fuller looking ones which is what I wanted.

Horrible

This primer and mascara duo is possibly the worst I have ever used. I have never left a review before but was so disappointed by this product I had to. It clumps the lashes and flakes off throughout the day. If you touch your lashes it also comes off. Sure it’s not waterproof but touchproof? Needless to say I regret buying this primer and mascara so much, I would definitely steer clear of it in the future! It’s definitely put me off buying loreal mascaras

Intense Black

This was just awful. The regular L'Oreal paradise has been my favourite mascara for the last few years. This time i thought i'd try the "intense black" version (whatever that means...they're both black). I was expecting it to be just as good if not better, but was extemely disappointed, given the price. The mascara is so clumpy and gloopy, it looks terrible. I can't justify throwing it out after spending £12 but i actually HATE using it...such a shame. Never again.

Love this mascara

I am a contact lens wearer and have sensitive eyes. A lot of mascaras don't suit me but this one is a keeper. I have been using this for the last 2 years (its my 7th tube). Really love the way it kind of elongates my lashes. Most mascaras dry my eyes and lashes. I'm not sure if it is the oils in this (even though its far down the ingredients list), but my lashes feel healthy even after I remove the mascara.

Really boosts lashes

Really noticeable difference using the primer before mascara. I tried it with paradise lash mascara and was really impressed. Normally lower lashes don't show up on me but with this they were well defined. gave good length and pretty good separation too. If you have a few extra minutes to put it on it's definitely worth the effort.

Simply THE Best

This lash primer is simply the BEST there is on the market. I've spent more than double for lash primers and not had the results I've had with this. I think I must have tried them all! This is a real game changer in the appearance of eyelashes even if you don't go on and apply mascara over the top. However it does enhance the look of your chosen mascara making eyelashes look longer and thicker. An extra step well worth taking in terms of effort & time. I'm now being asked if I've had eyelash extensions!! Buy it, you won't regret it

Thick and Gunky - Not my idea of Paradise

I bought this about a month ago and disliked it almost immediately. The mascara is incredibly thick and gunky and I've had to scrape it off the brush before being able to use it. I thought, at first, that it was because it was new and would settle down but the opposite is true. I persevered for a month to avoid having to throw it away and effectively waste my money but this morning I couldn't stand it any more and have thrown it in the bin. Hugely disappointing give the reliability of other L'Oreal products.
