Amazing hair dye

I bought the shade P11 and I absolutely love it. I usually use another brand that is well known however they didn’t do this shade which is platinum black. I was impressed that you put the colour on towel dried hair instead of dry hair, which all the other brands I have used instruct you to do. This was so much easier as I used a protein filler beforehand to help absorb this colour better as I’ve been struggling ever since I bleached my hair. Anyway this colour is absolutely beautiful and just what I wanted. It’s not as harsh as some black dyes I’ve used before and I personally prefer it. I’m so delighted with the result! Brassy to Blonde

I went from copper to having my hair lifted at the hairdresser. I hated the look and couldn't wait the 8 weeks she said to go back to keep going lighter. So I bleached it myself again and achieved the 'before' photo you see. Brassy and awful which I was expecting. You always need to put an ash on top to get rid of it so I chose Copenhagen after reading the colour is darker than what it shows on the box. I'm really happy with the result. Is it perfect? No. But it's box dye so it won't be, but now I have more normal looking hair I'm very pleased with. I would buy it again to hopefully keep getting rid of the orangey tones.

So I dyed my dark blonde/light brown hair using this dye (Preference Platinum Extreme Platinum Blonde Permanent Hair Dye) and was left with yellow roots. I did a lot of research on the reviews section to see what would fix this and people said use Jerome Russel silver toner and not the white toner as the silver would sort out the yellow roots. So I put this on my roots and a little bit transferred to some of my already white hair. The result was the most minimal of change on my roots and I was left with some purple hair on the original white hair. So I was basically left with a combination of yellow hair, then purple hair, then white hair. I then tried my (salon bought) revlon ice white leave in conditioner and thankfully the purple hair went silver. I was informed to try wash any possible trace of bleach out of my hair as apparently toners won't work in the hair very well because of it. So 2 days later I tried this toner on my yellow roots (bleach London white toner) and unfortunately again minimal change and my scalp has scabbed over. I recommend if you have yellow roots in your hair, don't use a toner, wait another 2 weeks and bleach your roots again and that will do the job. Toners are too harsh on the head and unfortunately unless you have naturally light hair to begin with, they don't work work sufficiently

Formula Change
29 August 2024

I have been using Loreal Preference Intense Copper Mango for years. I found the product amazing and the coverage was so good many people thought it was my natural hair colour. However, they have recently changed the formula and ao couldn't be more disappointed with the result. The dye hardly caught at all and left my hair patchy in areas I had definitely covered. This has happened both times I have used it, so sadly after 8 years of loving this product it is time to find a new one.

Great for orange brassy blonde
21 October 2022

I read all the reviews. All of them. 96% of them are bad. But few reviews caught my eyes saying it get rid of warm orangey blonde tones. Every hair dye pulls very warm on me.From roots to middle of my hair. And I usually buy ash, cool blonde shades that shouldn't pull warm. So I ignored all the bad reviews and went ahead and bought it based on those few good reviews. And it did get rid off of my golden/slash orange hair!!! Definitely not the colour that is advertised on the box(but I knew that) but finnaly a true ash colour. And it will lighten up after few washes anyway. So this review is for all the people who are trying to banish those unwanted warm golden and orange tones. Oh and DON'T use the purple/blue conditioner

Great for those who've messed up with bleach.

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm hoping this will help others who have bleached thier hair at home and have bright yellow hair.No amount of toning or purple shampoo would help my hair so I decided to buy this for the ashy tone, hoping that it would do anything for the yellow.I left in on for the max amount of time, and it looked a dark grey colour. I used a regular shampoo after, then the purple mask provided. My hair has no yellow or brassiness in it, so this helped significantly. The colour I have now is a pretty ashy( grey in some areas) dull toned blonde. But I am happy with that because my hair no longer resembles straw.Definitely recommend for those who've messed up with bleach, but not for anyone looking for an 'icy blonde' as this is not a ... MoreI don't usually write reviews, but I'm hoping this will help others who have bleached thier hair at home and have bright yellow hair.No amount of toning or purple shampoo would help my hair so I decided to buy this for the ashy tone, hoping that it would do anything for the yellow.I left in on for the max amount of time, and it looked a dark grey colour. Perfect Cool Blonde Shade!
24 September 2024

The Venice Ultra-Light Cool Crystal Blonde Permanent Hair Dye is amazing! It gave me a beautiful, icy blonde shade with zero brassiness, just like I wanted. The formula is gentle on my hair, leaving it soft and shiny without any damage or dryness. Application was easy, and the dye didn’t have a harsh chemical smell. The color is vibrant and has stayed true even after several washes. If you’re looking for a cool, crystal blonde tone that looks natural and bright, this is the one to go for. Highly recommended!

Trust the process and it's stunning!!
21 October 2023

I've dyed my hair myself for over 15 years now and blonde is always one I can never be bothered trying to achieve. I've had it in my mind for my birthday I wanted to be a nice bright blonde and this dye did not disappoint!HOWEVER, I nearly had a wee menty b during the processing. The dye looked like it was going to turn my hair a dark, dusty purple. I know blonde dyes tend to do this but this one looked the darkest dye I'd seen. Then once I was washing it out in the shower, I swear my hair literally looked BLUE! But once I washed it with shampoo and used my Olaplex, it's turned out an absolutely stunning bright, ash blonde! Could not be happier!! Definitely a trust the process moment!

Unbelievable stunning white blonde
7 September 2024

This hair colour is insane, it’s a perfect bright white blonde. To get these results and exact colour on the box you need to make sure you hair is a very pale yellow like the inside of a banana when bleaching your hair. This colour will not work if you have orange and dark yellow banana skin/mustard, lasagne colour hair. Once you get your whole head of hair to a very pale yellow after bleaching THEN apply this colour. You won’t be dissapointed, I am absolutely in love.

Very Ashy.
1 July 2023

When I started to go grey I bleached my brown hair to an almost white blonde to avoid the increasingly frequent root touch-ups. My hair was still naturally brown at the sides and back, but the grey/white hair was at the top and front, where it was really obvious in my parting and fringe. I kept it icy blonde for around 4 years, and I loved it, but during lockdown my darker roots grew out at the back, so I bleached it myself at home. It worked brilliantly, so next time I did it myself again…and again… yes, I fried my hair. My hairdresser advised me to stop bleaching altogether, so I let it grow out. I looked like a tabby cat, with white hair on top and greyish brown underneath and at the back and sides, with about an inch of bleached ends. I looked like a tabby cat, with white hair on top and greyish brown underneath and at the back and sides, with about an inch of bleached ends. When I couldn’t stand it any longer I used the preference Oslo (I forget the number) which sorted the grey, but left the back and underneath quite warm, and after a couple of weeks in Tenerife it went extremely yellow on top. I was aiming for a young Debbie Harry, but ended up more like Boris Johnson. I wanted to move away from the icy blonde anyway, so I tried the 8.1 Copenhagen. It really took the brass away, to the point that after the blue conditioning toner was rinsed out my hair was uniformly battleship grey all over! Looked like it had been painted matte grey, Also the bleached ends turned a sludgy purple grey. Yikes! Luckily as an experienced home bleacher I knew it was the effect of the blue toner, and would wash out. Now, a week later, after washing every day with Argan oil shampoo and good quality conditioner, it’s settled down to a nice ash blonde. More Ash than blonde, and absolutely nothing like the picture on the box, but why they’ve put a picture of honey blonde hair on a box of ash blonde dye is a mystery. The underneath is still a bit warmer than the top, and the bleached ends are still a bit cooler, but it really is hardly noticeable, and after another couple of trims the ends will have been cut off completely. On the whole I’m pleased with it, and I’ll use it again in a couple of months, but I might not use the toning conditioner.
