I wasnt sure this mask would work for me at first as it describes itself as lightweight and my hair is very thick, coarse and curlyfrizzy in texture. I first used it following the matching LOreal Serie Expert Gold shampoo. I put it on in the shower, finished washingshavingexfoliating and rinsed it off 5 minutes later. Waking up the next day I was shocked to see that my huge frizzbomb hair had been transformed into something smooth, shiny and fairly straight. I dont know how much of that is due to the keratin proteins and how much to the high concentration of silicones in the mask but it definitely works. It leaves hair almost slippery soft so it probably wouldnt be great to use before attempting an updo that needing grip BUT if you want you hair to swing loose and glossy then its fabulous. It even withstands a reasonable level of humidity going from rain to central heating and back without adding a smoothing serum on top. Really impressive little mask that might be lightweight but packs a heavyweight punch
