The machine is awesome, like any fine piece of Italian anything⦠you have to take care of it :). Just like my former Ducati, and Aprillia motorcycles. It is an absolute workhorse and it is VERY consistent from shot to shot. I would recommend this machine to anyone for sure! Be sure to pair it with a comparable Grinder to really get the most out of your shots! I bought my first machine from Chris Coffee years and years ago, and they have been nothing but utter professionals and the best support reps anyone could ask for! I live in California, and have tons of options of where to buy a machine or grinder, yet I ONLY buy these items from Chris Coffee, due to the concern and care they show for me! This is an amazing machine that is so consistent that it has helped me learn how to get the most out of my coffee. I bought the machine from Chris Coffee because they are known for providing excellent technical service. After two years of continuous use, I finally had a reason to call, and I was really impressed with the service that I received. Sam, one of the technicians, researched the issue I was having and spent the time needed to help me verify and fix the problem. Iāve had espresso machines for more than 20 years, and you have to expect some maintenance from time to time. The LM is no different in that regard. Just make sure you buy from a reputable dealer that will provide great support. Absolutely no regrets here. Iām looking forward to many more years.

I still love, but the longer I own it, and the more I deal with LaMarazocca, the more I realize both the machine and the company have issues. As for the machine, Iām still replacing one of the valves every 8-12 months as part of what the company claims is āannual maintenanceā (about $200 if you have it professionally). More recently, I did their recommended software upgrade and the machined failed to restart. I contacted the company rep and they claimed the failure was related to some switches on the motherboard that were incorrectly configured in a small number of machines they sent out. They sent instructions on how to fix it; cost me over $300 and took the company I use for the āannual maintenanceā more than 2 hours to figure out. I think that most people love their espresso machinesā¦until they donāt. Maybe driven by features or looks or gear acquisition syndrome. My prior machine was the Lelit Bianca. A beautiful price of chrome Italian art with two boilers and flow control. Changing machines for me was driven by simplicity, connectivity and that little LaMarzocco logo on the portafilter handle. :-)The machine is everything I hoped it would be. Itās built like a tank (except for the plastic waste water tray. The workflow is simple. Iām loving the network connectivity. I open an app on my phone to start the boiler. The amount of stream power this machine produces is incredible to me. I can make a dozen after dinner drinks in a row and not run out of steam.Oh, and La Linea is a sexy beast. I opted for the wooden accessories in walnut. Iām making great espresso and have no buyers remorse on the $$$ splurge.
I upgraded from an already top-notch machine I'd had for 7 years - the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi. But the differences are obvious. The Linea is built so solidly, with no fussy electronics, it's really a joy to use and the overall experience in making espresso is important. The shots are far more consistent and better extracted given the rotary pump and I suspect more even temperature control. Texture more than flavor I think is the bigger difference since the La Spaziale is a fine machine. The only problem I'm having is that the steam wand is so powerful, it is very hard to get properly steamed silky milk in low volumes, ie for one latte. Clive Videos aren't helping much despite following instructions carefully. It is just very tricky not to inject too much air and ...Ā MoreI upgraded from an already top-notch machine I'd had for 7 years - the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi. But the differences are obvious. Clive Videos aren't helping much despite following instructions carefully. It is just very tricky not to inject too much air and have foam instead of not just stretched milk, though by varying the power of the steam I'm gettting some improvements. You don't need 'latte art' to have a great latte or macchatio or cappucino though, the Italians did without it for decades! And the lattes and macchiatos with the Linea have been outstandingly good.
I come from an HX machine. I wanted something with better milk frothing capabilities because that is the kind of espresso I drink. This is a quality product; everything looks well built and with excellent materials. I didn't find any cut corners in terms of perceptive quality. This is a rock star!!!!This is by no means the cheaper sibling of the GS3. Once you add the cool touch wand, it costs almost the same as the volumetric one, so this is not an entry-level even by Marzocco standards, in my humble point of view. However, at least for me, this is way better looking and a tad more modern. The frothing power is mesmerizing; it will take some time for you to get used to such power. It was somewhat risky for me because I had never seen a Linea Mini in person before, so I had to trust my eyes and the machine's reputation. Well, I have no regrets!
Love everything about this machine, completed my end game setup!Yes it?s a very expensive machine, and I was debating it for some time but when I finally got it wow 0 buyers remorse. It is an absolute piece of art that performs just as well as it looks. I came from a flow control machine and I was looking for simple consistent shots, with kids it?s hard to find the time to experiment with different profiles. I wanted a rig that was super reliable, consistent, simple, providing too notch espresso shots. I would compare flow profiling to driving a car with a stick, super fun experience but sometimes you just want to put the car into drive and go while still having a great ride.Things I love- incredible build- beautiful- huge steam boiler- easy tank to add ...Ā MoreLove everything about this machine, completed my end game setup!Yes it?s a very expensive machine, and I was debating it for some time but when I finally got it wow 0 buyers remorse. The Linea Mini is a work horse, sharp looking, quiet, and more than capable of pulling shot after shot at a stable temperature. I think that is one of the reasons this machine really shines - very precise temperature adjustment and stability due to the integrated group. Fine tuning the flavor profile with temperature is something you can do with this machine. The application works great and I can control the LMLM at home or remotely but it does require a 2.4 GHz WiFi to connect. Mark was very polite and answered all my questions and helped me find the right machine to replace my 8 year old machine previously purchased from Chris' Coffee. He followed up with me after the purchase and helped connect me with the right support for questions about setup. The machine came on a pallet and all wood accents were already installed. I plumbed my machine so if you do this make sure to adjust the pressure down when you hook up the water supply. It comes set up to take water from the reservoir but if you use your water supply there is some line pressure that requires turning the pump pressure down. Initially I was at "11"!
I owned a GS3 for 9 years and recently replaced it with a Linea Mini, so I'm in a position to compare the two. The GS3 delivered great results for many years, using it 3-4 times per day at home.. It was serviced once or twice a year, but after seven years required repairs much more frequently, amounting to about $750 per year. Fortunately I had access to a great authorized repair company. The Mini is easier to use and delivers comparable results. It doesn't have some of the adjustments that I rarely used, so there's nothing I miss. The Mini is a much simpler design and hopefully will be more reliable over its life. Comes with double the warranty of the GS3. So far I love the Mini and find it less finicky. I looked at a range of machines before going back to a LaM, and found nothing quite comparable. They all have their own problems. Whatever brand you buy, it's important it can be serviced locally. These machines are too heavy to ship and will require some service.
We upgraded from a couple of other prosumer espresso machines that served their purpose of introducing us to the world of espresso, and we could not be happier choosing this beautiful, commercial-grade machine. Not only does this machine look gorgeous in our kitchen, it also pulls consistently delicious shots and is easy to use with its straightforward controls. Being able to brew espresso and steam milk at the same time as well as pulling back-to-back shots especially for milk-based drinks thanks to its dual boilers is an absolute game changer!!! The massive steam boiler is very powerful and appears to have endless steam. The Linea Mini may not have a built-in shot timer, but the connected app has a shot timer that automatically begins and ends with each shot ...Ā MoreWe upgraded from a couple of other prosumer espresso machines that served their purpose of introducing us to the world of espresso, and we could not be happier choosing this beautiful, commercial-grade machine.
