If you want to know if this product works: simply put, it’s amazing. This lip balm is incredibly moisturizing and works as a really good overnight lip mask. I wake up in the morning with the softest lips. And there is no gross taste or smell! HOWEVER this lip balm has a TON of weird ingredients that give me pause. I think the clinical-esque packaging enhances my hesitation on these ingredients (this looks like a medication not a lip balm). So I’m hesitant to continue to use this until I do some real research on some of these intimidating ingredients—especially because this goes near my mouth. But if this isn’t something that you consider when buying a product, at face value this really is a nice lip balm and I would recommend it based on that alone.

I received these #LA ROCHE-POSAY CICAPLAST LIPS voxbox for free from #Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The first time I applied the product on my lips, I felt the sensation of softness and hydration, that sensation lasted for several hours (6 hrs.) But the most important thing is that my lips were restored and did not dry out the next day. This product has no smell or color. The texture is not sticky or greasy. It is easily applied because the product glides very well and is absorbed quickly. I will continue to use it more now that the cold weather is approaching, which is when my lips suffer the most. I love lip balms , but this one is different. It’s clear has no scent or color. Personally for me I love lip balms that have color in them/scents. I used this product in many ways; the first time I used it by itself and it did what it claimed which is to keep my lips hydrated. The following day I mix this clear lipbalm with a lipstick to make my own custom lip balm and it worked. Lastly, I applied this lip balm first then a lipstick over it and it worked well. This lip balm does exactly what it’s supposed to do . But , don’t get it confused with a liquid lipstick, they are very different. This will transfer , not kiss proof and not water resistant. This product is AMAZING! If you have chapped or extremely dry lips I would HIGHLY recommend this product. It’s not your average lip balm. This product does not have a scent and it’s not greasy. It goes on your lips smooth and you can feel your lips feeling better already. I used it for 24 hours - I applied it 3 times out of the 24 hours and my lips were severely chapped and they are healed after 24 hours of using. It’s a small little tube fits anywhere goes on smooth easy cap to remove and close when done using. I would highly recommend this for someone that struggles with chapped or dry lips and doesn’t prefer a scent or high shine. I was excited that they came out with this lip balm. I enjoyed the thicker texture and found that it did melt and spread on the lips easily. This way you are not dipping your fingers into a pot and possibly contaminating the product. You do have to give the tube a good squeeze since it is on the thicker side. I received this product for free from Influenster and La Roche-Posay in exchange for my honest opinion. This stuff is legit! Move over Laneige….there is a new lip balm in town. I use a lip balm every night before bed. After receiving this lip product, I didn’t have high hopes that I would replace my nightly lip mask with a new product. After using it a few times, I felt a huge difference in the condition of my lips. I wear lipstick every single day, which oftentimes leaves my lips dry and chapped. This product completely alleviated that literally after the first application. It has the texture almost like Aquafor, with no fragrance or flavor. It is lightweight and sheer and does exactly what it says. I would 100% purchase this product in the future.

Cicaplast Lips - Great for some, but not great for me

It looks like this works wonders for some, and is a disaster for others. I'm in the latter category. I use the regular Baume B5 therapeutic skin cream on my face and it is wonderful for me. I have used this lip balm every night (a reasonable amount, I don't think I've been over-using it or anything) for two weeks. I wanted to give it a proper shot and maybe two weeks isn't long enough but I don't think I can keep up with it. My lips are just a peeling mess. Prior to using this my lips weren't too bad, I just hoped that maybe this balm would make them "100%". It did not. It definitely is the cause of my badly peeling lips. There must be an ingredient that I am sensitive to, or I don't know what...
