This is probably one of the best micellar water products out there. It takes my eye makeup off so smoothly and and leaves nothing behind. It also isn’t harsh on your skin and leaves the skin feeling softer and cleaner. I use it for makeup removal as well as in the morning to cleanse my face of all the night time skincare I use and create a clean slate for my morning routine. Its also hypoallergenic and good for sensitive skin because it’s so gentle. I’ve never noticed a fragrance, though I notice some people say they have. It’s also not expensive and you can find it at a drug store or Ulta. And it lasts a long time because you really don’t need that much to do the job. I highly recommend!

I like this brand of skincare. I've got 3 products that I'm using now. So I thought I would give this a try. I have combination skin, with an oily t-zone. I know you're not supposed to be buy face cleansers for oily skin that it makes it worse, but I thought I like this brand, I've liked everything I've tried from them, I'll give it a try. First off it didn't give me a matte look, my nose was still shiny. After a few hours my nose was very greasy. I noticed after sleeping my nose was way greasier than it usually is. It has a different smell to it. It takes a couple times to get used to the smell, I liked after a couple swipes. After trying a couple times I returned them to the store, I had 2 they were on sale.

This is only the second micellar water I’ve tried, but I won’t be using anything else! I tried garniers before and I had to use 3-4 cotton pads soaked to remove all my make up, but this product takes off everything with the first one. I do use a second one to pick up anything left behind and there’s usually nothing on the cotton pad. I use it in combination with Vichy normaderm lotion before bed and I do find I wake up very oily but I’m not sure if that’s from this product or the lotion…my guess is the lotion!

I have have also tried Bioderma's micellar water for sensitive skin (in the pink bottle) but find that much more drying. I do think my skin has improved a lot from using this product. I rarely breakout and it has also simplified my routine quite a bit. I don't double cleanse as I find just the micellar water is enough. I also find I have less lazy days where I may not wash my face thoroughly since it's so easy to use. For skincare I am finding that simple is often better!

It takes away even the most stubborn makeup. I do not use it to remove my waterproof mascara but do use it for long-lasting lipsticks and foundation. I like to wash my face after I use the micellar water, but that is not necessary. If I am in a hurry, the Micellar Ultra will do a fine job, leave no residue, and my face feels clean. Weird tip: When I am traveling and want to minimize what I take with me, this micellar water will do a great job of cleaning my diamond ring! I’ve used a micellar water before but not THIS micellar water! This is perfection! It leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed but without any residue. I also noticed that it removes dirt better than any other product I have used. I will definitely be adding this as a staple in my skincare routine.

The best micellar water for oilier skin

My skin tends to be a bit oily during the warm summer months. This micellar water works well to remove make-up, dirt and oil from my skin. And, I much prefer the scent of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Micellar Water Ultra to the regular La Roche-Posay Micellar Water Ultra.

Way better than usual big box store brands

I use Micellar water daily, to help remove sunscreen and makeup at night, and to freshen my face in the morning before applying any other products. I've tried several brands from the big box and grocery stores, but La Roche-Posay is a superior products to those, and a better value than some of the premium brands. I'll keep buying it.
