I believe it is in a tube and not in a jar for the hygenic reasons. Fine for me. \nWhen we open the tube we are presented with the mask itself which formula is quite thick, even paste like, white in colour. It is easily noticed that the mask is kaolin based. A subtle scent is detected, in my opinion pleasant and not too overpowering. \nDespite its pretty thick consistency, the mask spreads easily and evenly on the face. I haven't experienced any irritation or stinging. What I find most important to mention is the fact that this Effaclar mask dries really fast so recommended 5 minutes is just enough. I wouldn't risk leaving it on the face any longer as with kaolin we might just end up with overdried and tight skin if we are too "eager". \nThe face feels soft and smooth after using this mask. What I personally like about this mask is apart from unclogging and refining effect, my existing blemishes are immediately less visible, less inflamed and the skin feels soothed and calm. Also, Effaclar Sebo-controlling mask has definitely got a mattifying effect.\nTwo remarks, however, the mask is a real pain in the neck to remove and don't even try doing it without a hot (or cold) cloth. And I would expect more unclogging and clarifying action from the Effaclar range. Other than that, a solid clay based mask for those fighting blemishes and oily skin. \n\n

I wish I would’ve liked this mask more. It’s a clay mask which is best suited for oily skin. It’s super easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. However, it didn’t really help with the oiliness on my face. It was also a bit expensive, so I wish it would’ve done more. It’s a decent facemask but you can definitely find better.

An effective mask and easy to use

I like this mask. You only need to apply a thin coat and it dries in 5 minutes. Just wash off with cold water. I think it is improving the appearance of my skin but I did find that I had one or two spots appearing after use. This makes sense as the mask is supposed to remove toxins but it was something of a shock. Apart from this I have not experienced any problems and shall continue this in the future.

I just tried this mask and it soooo good. I would give 5 stars for this La roche posey as brand, surely needs to get really overall rating for this project 5 stars. Many of the reasons are after the mask is staying even longer it than it should, is completely so light weight on the skin. You can feel once you move around your face of making any expression is completely making even tighter. My skin always is dripping of oil and the fact that is not burning, when you wear it, it unbelievable top buying product for me. This product is such a hot bomb shell. When I was applying the mask, you can see how patchy application is going around your face but it is good that it is not cracking. Fantastic mask

This mask is a great product! Was using the Caudalie Detox mask before and wanted to try something different to see if I could find a comparable product for a better price. This mask is a winner! I have oily skin and this has helped with being more matte, cleared out blackheads from my nose in the first use. Will continue to buy this mask going forward. You only need a thin layer so I think this tube will last quite awhile

Good and bad

It feels super gentle and didn't irritate my skin at the time. After using this, I saw lots of white stuff half way out of my pores but I can't effectively clean them all as they are only half way out. I managed to clean the pores under my chin and on my nose via floss. These two area look clearer and pores are smaller the next day. HOWEVER, my skin is oilier and shiner the next day. I'm not entirely sure whether this is related. I have super oily and sensitive skin.

Great mask

Great mask at a friendly price point. Love that it only takes 5 minutes for it to work its magic so that it can be applied on the busiest mornings. It clarifies skin effectively and a little goes a long way. Like all masks containing clays it’s got a slight drying effect hence I’d recommend using a rich moisturiser following the mask application.

I was looking for a mask like this and could only find it from other brands mixed with essential oils or food based ingredients which cause irritation. Since I found this I amBeyond happy. First it comes in a tube which I love to get the right amount out as well as not having to put my finger in a jar. It feels so nice and refreshing on the skin. The improvement came For me after two weeks. Especially after a travel intense period or flight I love to put this on. Also I live in a city and this really helps my skin stay clear. This has so many benefits I just love it m.
