Its nice getting a drive that uses a proper USB C cable, it also comes in a very solid feeling metal casing rather than the cheap plastic most alternatives use
This is a great drive. It's very fast, anyone with speed issues needs to re-format the drive. The design goes great with my iMac!
Well, it was dead when it arrived. So I'll revise once I get a replacement.
Drive works great. Set up was flawless. Sales department was asked if the cable was compatible with previous LaCie drive. They said it was, but was incorrect and needed an adapter.
I bought this product, and then because the first one was slow, I contacted the manufacturer who replaced it free of charge. I have a new one and its also slow. Really disappointing as I had the Lacie Porsche hard drive which was so much faster.
** USING WITH MACBOOK PRO M1 CHIP **Love this thing ... but DAMN if it doesn't frustrate me how it doesn't connect every time. I have to go into my damn Disk Utility and mount, unmount, mount, unmount etc ... until it eventually connects. PITA (pain in the a**).Other than THAT ... its great. Transfer speeds are legit and it does what it's supposed to.
