The award-winning Lamy 2000 is Lamy's flagship fountain pen. This pen features a smooth sleek black Makrolon fibreglass body that tapers seamlessly down to the 14k gold nib. Four small discrete windows circle the pen body and provide an indication of the ink colour loaded. The 14k gold nib provides softness and flexibility for smooth, consistent writing, while the platinum coating gives it durability. This is a bottled ink only fountain pen, with a large reservoir easily refillable with a wide range of ink choices. Simply unscrew the piston at the end of the pen, dip the nib in your ink and then re-screw the piston (with the nib still submerged). The ink is drawn up into the reservoir with the rescrewing action. Remember to blot up any excess ink before you start writing. Excess ink will most likely be around the nib, but don’t neglect the grip area.
