What I love so much about this iteration in particular is the teardrop “Cryo Pearl.” I’ve never used an eye serum applicator that fits so perfectly like a glove into my eye contour. I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes I’ll forego the applicator altogether in favor if using my fingers. However, I have found this applicator in particular to be more effective at spreading the product evenly while minimizing waste. My main area of concern is and always has been my dark circles. There is an eye cream that goes with this product that is more geared towards dark circles, whereas this Light-Pearl serum primarily aims to awaken and depuff. This is a potent formula that you can really feel going to work on your skin. There are some key ingredients at play - most notably bifidus prebiotic to encourage a healthy biome barrier, as well as caffeine for puffiness and arginine for its lifting and firming anti-wrinkle properties. I think this is an incredible ergonomic innovation as far as eye serums are concerned, and a must-try for anyone who happens to be seeking some relief from under eye stress!

I tested the product for 6 weeks before posting this review so that I could properly assess the product claims. What I really liked about this product was that I could apply it all over my eyes, eyelids, lashes and brows as a one and done. I love a one and done product as I don't have a lot of time or patience for anything finicky. The serum absorbed really quickly with no greasiness and it caused me no irritation. I have tried Rapidlash serum in the past which is quite expensive, but the Genefique Pearl is so much better! I think I have also noticed some growth of eyebrow hairs, but not on the same scale as the eyelashes. I think it would take a miracle for my brows to grow back though given my age and how much I overplucked them in the 90s. But give it a bit more time and I might see more growth with the Genefique Pearl, I haven't ruled it out yet. The only downside for me of this product was the massaging ball tip in the applicator, which dragged around my eyes. I feel like the ball tip could move a little more freely to make this easier. Other than this, there are no more negatives, and I will definitely be repurchasing this product when my sample bottle runs out. It really has blown me away, and there are very little skincare products that I can say that about!

Ii’s expensive and I didn’t want to just trash it thinking that if I continued using it eventually my skin will get used to it and I will see the benefits. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. On the contrary- the skin on my upper lid dried up, wrinkled and started flaking. I honestly did not see any noticeable changes to my under eye area - the discoloration, puffiness and wrinkles do not seem to be affected at all. I bought this on Sephora app in march 2023, got delivered a product that was manufactured two years ago April 2021. I went to get an exchange at the store, and it turns out this was the older version of advanced genefique yeux. So embarrassing when the store assistant told me this was the old version and I needed to top up another $7 for the new version if I wanted to exchange in store. I'm not sure if she might have thought I was trying to get the new version for the same price as the old version. I didn't even know there were two versions! When you search for advanced genefique yeux, only this old version appears, because guess what, the new version doesn't have the word 'yeux' in its product title on Sephora app so it doesn't appear.
