Today I am reviewing the luxurious Advanced Génifique night cream to compliment the serum. I received this cream as a deluxe sample gift with purchase from Lancôme. The formula is encased in a black jar with the Advanced Génifique logo and a shimmery silver cap with rose embossment. Inside is a thick white cream with the consistency of sugar cookie icing. It has similar ingredients as the serum, such as 10% Bifidus Prebiotic for a favorable “good” bacterial environment and Hyaluronic Acid for its moisture retention properties. In this cream, you will also find something called Triple Ceramide Complex, which consists of lipids found in a healthy skin barrier for restorative and healthy barrier functionality. I think there are so many reasons why our skin barrier may be compromised. I know I put my skin through a lot just by the mere act of shaving. Even if you are someone who never uses harsh chemicals or processes on your skin, the pollution and ever-changing quality of our air and environment is enough reason to use the Advanced Génifique system. Applying this to my skin after cleansing, toning, and applying my serum felt like a true skin-nourishing experience. There aren’t many fluffs and frills about this product, and it admittedly seems to have a slight nutty after scent to it. However, I feel like what this product lacks in frills it more than makes up for in efficacy. Personally, I prefer the Absolue Soft Cream, but I consider this night cream to be a close runner-up for achieving that youthful “glow” so endlessly sought after.

Adenosine, Vitamin C and E provide antiaging as well as antioxidant properties; while pre and probiotics soothe and repair the skin barrier.Despite the numerous occlusive ingredients it never feels heavy or greasy on the skin and any breakouts are prevented by the inclusion of exfoliating LHA.After suffering consistently with redness and tightness on my facial skin for over a year, I believe it was caused by an impaired barrier and can attest to the skin barrier-repairing properties of the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Night Cream.I have been using the Génifique Night Cream for a while now and I really enjoy how nourishing it feels on my skin, with an occlusive yet breathable texture. It also seems to reduce redness considerably, which I love!While it may be on the pricier side of the scale, only a small pea sized amount is needed to cover the entire face and neck, so cost per use is heavily reduced.The only thing is that I would have loved to see a small spatula included for an easier and more luxuriously hygienic way of dispensing the product.Overall, a great night cream featuring some of my current favourite skincare ingredients (probiotics and ceramides), with a beautiful rich texture and pleasant delicate orange blossom scent that efficiently nourishes and reduces redness while repairing the skin barrier.If that sounds like something your skin needs then I would definitely recommend the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Night Cream.

Expensive, but, worth the price

My skin is sensitive, dehydrated, acne prone. I am very picky and choosy when it comes to trying on new skin care because my skin reacts so quickly. When I receive this product, I knew this would be something worth trying on because in the past, when I have tried Lancome’s genefique line of products, they’ve always suited and worked really well for my skin. At night I like to slather my skin with some kind of rich moisturizer or an oil type product to really lock in and seal the moisture since my skin tends to be very dehydrated, especially in the colder months. After giving this product a try for I would say about two weeks. I have noticed my skin really feel supple and soft in the morning. When I wake up, there’s no redness, no reactivity either. With all that being said, the ingredients are very nice, and I trust Lancome to deliver exceptionally well made product I do have ever worn that this product is extremely expensive so if it doesn’t fit your budget, make sure you think about what you’re buying and do your ingredient checklist before you purchase. However, I do recommend this for anybody and everybody because of my skin could handle this I’m sure most skins would love this.

I had the pleasure of testing this product out for the last couple weeks and believe that I have used it long enough that I can accurately review it. I am a long time user of night serums and believe wholeheartedly in skin care routines. I have tried many products and definitely have my favorites that I splurge on. A little bit goes a long way and you apply nightly to your face and neck. After about a week, I could definitely start seeing a difference. I no longer needed a moisturizer in the morning after washing my face and before applying my make up - I have dry, sensitive skin and regularly apply moisturizer so that my makeup does not look "cakey" on my face. In turn, I was also able to use less base and wear less makeup overall. My skin has a dewy appearance, which I would usually get after using retinol creams, but these tend to make my skin even more sensitive and dry it out.The cream was gentle enough that I could use it under my eyes as well and caused zero irritation. I am pretty pleased with the product, as I can essentially get rid of my eye cream and not have to purchase as much moisturizer going forward.This product truly gives you a youthful appearance and enhances your skin texture. I plan on adding this into my regular skin care routine.The cream does have a light perfume smell that I am not overly fond of. I prefer my creams to be fragrance free but it is not enough that it is overwhelming or would cause me to stop using the product.

It really does boost your confidence knowing that your skin feels stronger, and looks healthier.Highly recommend the Génifique Night Cream, it most definately has rejuvenated my evening skincare routine, and my skin has visibly improved in tone and texture and benefited from using this Night Cream. I am very pleased with the enhanced results so far and will continue to use this product.

Lancôme kept the formula free from silicones and parabens (and that's great) but not from microplastics yet. Just because of this fact, I'm giving 4 stars to this gorgeous night cream.
