I received shade 225N (not listed in the choices) of their newest formula of their most popular foundation. First off the shade match was way off , this is way lighter than light neutral. The shade is so porcelain/ fair that I looked ghostly. Even if the shade match was good the formula unfortunately was not on this one. It is extremely dry. If there was a word to describe this beyond “matte” then they need to invent another term just for this foundation. It is also not good coverage at all. This foundation is so sheer it would take too many buildable layers to cover specific areas that you would need more coverage on. Providing instant coverage that was very lightweight and natural, but at the same time, making my skin appear as beautiful as can be. I almost wanted to just go wash my face and get this formula on my face, but I didn’t have the time. This foundation stayed on my mind until the very next day. I was wondering if it would translate as well as it did on my hand swatch. As you know, you never can pinpoint exactly how a product will fully perform on your face by a hand swatch. First facial application mirrored my swatching experience, but better. This foundation is a full coverage foundation. However, while the formula does achieve the full coverage, it feels very lightweight and natural. Your skin still looks like your skin, but on a newfound level. There’s no cakey feeling. You can continually build and build, if you are wanting that immense coverage with no horrendous bleh feeling. The foundation still appears beautifully. This foundation photographs beautifully - I actually used it on my wedding day. No regrets whatsoever. This formula lasted. Through the rain. The sweat. The tears. It stayed perfectly intact.
