First, the scent…as other reviews said, it definitely has a blue raspberry scent to it, which isn’t bad but I was expecting that distinct almost sickening sweet cotton candy scent. Instead it’s more of blue raspberry cotton candy. Second, the flavor…I’m not one to constantly lick off lip balm but since you’re bound to get some in your mouth, the flavor should mimic the scent even if mild. I’m not quite sure how to describe the flavor but it is truly AWFUL! Maybe playdough? It’s bad enough that I honestly can’t wear the balm longer than a few seconds without wanting to rub it off. I’ve never experienced this with any other laneige flavor. Overall, the cotton candy flavor was a huge disappointment, I’d suggest literally any other flavor if you buy this lip mask especially if it’s your first time using the Laneige lip mask. Sweet Candy is probably my favorite. I do prefer olehenriksen, summer fridays, and topicals lip balms over laneige though.

Absolutely OBSESSED with this product!!! Such a sweet, yummy, candy like scent that makes you want to eat it whenever it’s on! The texture is smooth and nourishing, it leaves your lips with a nice moisturized feel without leaving them sticky or have the feeling of too much thickness on your lips. I have had this for over a year and i have hardly made a dent in the tub, it lasts forever. Definitely worth the price for the pay off of the smoothest lips and the amazing scent. The tub may not be ideal tool for applying this product but with the mini applicator, you don’t have to stick your finger in and the applicator is perfect and soft. I’ve been using it for 3 years now I emptied many pots and as long as I use it every night, my lips are great. But if I change my lip mask, they return to their old chapped form. Just The I DEW CARE one works as good as this. For me is a Holy Grail and I recommend it as much as I can.

It makes my lips soft and smooth, but not necessary to use every night as doing it too much can damage your lip barrier, making lip tints sink into the cracks and crevices and staining them darker, more patchy, and harder to remove. This is nothing wrong with the product, just an effect that would happen with any product if used excessively. I recommend every few days, more if you have very dry lips. Very nice and comfy, adds a subtle shine so nice for daytime, but just fyi it does not make your lips pinker or tinted or anything. I got sweet candy mistakenly in store thinking it was berry, because I usually don’t love candy scented things. I don’t get the hype, to be honest

I really wanted to love these, as they have been VERY hyped on social media and I have many family members and friends that use and love them. To give credit where credit is due this brand has the packaging on point; the jar is really aesthetic and pretty, and the product itself (especially the swirly ones) are really pretty and the scent is also very nice and luxurious. But this product honestly did nothing for my lips. It feels really nice when you put it on, and gives a really pretty glossy look to the lips, but once it soaked into the skin it really did nothing, making my lips feel even drier than before. I digress. I would recommend using a facial moisturizer followed by a simple vaseline product for the lips. Is it as ✨aesthetic✨? No, but from my experience the best skincare rarely is. If you really like the look of it go for it, but I honestly think it’s just ineffective and way too expensive.

My lips have never been happier

I went through all the top lip masks, balms, oils, sticks etc etc to find something that actually helps my lips in both look and feel. Laneige has been my favorite. At this point, I've tried them all! I keep the pots on my nightstand and slather them on when I go to sleep. I wake up with moisturized, plumped, smooth lips. Love it. I keep a berry or sweet candy tube on me when I am out and about, mostly for the tint & glossy look. None have any "flavor" or taste to it and all are just scented. Sweet Candy is my favorite, it smells like cotton candy and has a very light pink tint. The actual Cotton Candy scent smells like a stronger version of sweet candy imo. Berry is a strawberry leaning scent with a darker pink tint that's subtle but noticeable. Mint chocolate is also spot on mint chocolate scent and I didn't notice a tint or a peppermint tingle effect like most mint lip balms have. Chocolate smells exactly like Nutella. I want to eat it and it looks like I did whenever I put it on because it has a deep milk chocolate tint. It's the only one that will noticeably smudge and leave a tint on my pillow at night, but I don't care because it smells amazing and it doesn't seem to stain anything. I live in the desert and I apply a thick layer at night and my lips always look healthier and plumper by the morning.
