Thank you so much for the opportunity to ‘test drive’ your delicious new 101 ointment in Vanilla.Living in a hot dry Australian climate lip hydration has always been paramount for me. Lanolin is the most effective and long-lasting application available to maintain such. The beautiful subtle and non invasive flavours are delightful, the texture light but long-lasting and suitable for our outdoor lifestyle.I gladly reward the product with 5 stars and am sorry you have reduced the size of the 101 ointment tubes. Plus the unavailability of your Allover ‘Golden Dry Skin Salve’ (super intense). This product has been a constant for me and I will miss it.

I was honestly blown away by the quality of these lip balms. The scents are incredible. Banana Cream Pie smells just like what I imagined a banana cream pie would smell like but Vanilla was honestly the standout. I have tried many vanilla-scented lip balms and this scent is a uniquely refined and sophisticated vanilla scent that I have never encountered before. The level of moisture and nourishment both formulations also gave my lips were next level and lasted for hours. I only need very little each time but it's hard to slather it on when both lip balms smell so deliciously divine. I don't need to re-apply often but it's hard and I find myself perpetually reaching for both because the scents are warm and comforting. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to try a new product for my lips and skin given that I have super sensitive skin that reacts to 9/10 products and nearly anything with fragrance and my lips have only been happy with a handful of balms and ointments. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by how well this worked and without any negative side effects. My skin and lips are hydrated and, when washing your hands you can tell that it really does lock in moisture. And, best of all, there is no fragrance or any bad "natural" smell to it! On the flip side, it is fairly sticky when first applying - you need to make sure to do a good job of rubbing in the product not to leave sticky fingerprints around. When I tried using the Lanolips on my hands or lips and then sealed it in with Aquaphor to lock it in and give it a bit of slip, I knew I found a winning combination. I don't know yet if I will be repurchasing this when I run out, but I am glad I gave it a try and will continue using this through winter to see if it is going to become one of my skincare and lip care essentials for those really dry months. One other thing to note is that the tube you get is on the small side, so if you, like me, go through a 7 oz. tube of Aquaphor a year, you may want to supplement it with something else. Overall, if you have sensitive and/or dry skin and want to find a petroleum jelly alternative product, I would *highly* recommend trying this out!
