This is a different kind of lip balm-gloss. The texture is almost like a paste but the application is not pasty at all. It’s like a balm and gloss mixed in one. It gives a slight shimmer to it and a pretty tint. It’s lightweight. It’s not sticky at all it’s very nourishing. It has sort of a weird smell/ taste but it’s not unpleasant; just different. It’s easy to carry around with you in your purse or somewhere.

This lip product is my new go to! I’ve used most drugstore chapsticks and lip ointments/balms, etc.. as well as the high end products as well. Lanolips keeps my lips hydrated and moisturized longer than any other brand.. lanolin is a little thicker and ointmenty but I love that it doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t have to put on every 30min.. I also love that it’s tinted so it’s 2 in 1! Love that I can hydrate my lips while it not looking so bare and boring.. I wish they had more shades.. but overall, an amazing product especially if you have eczema!

I think I had higher expectations for this lip balm based on reviews but it is not my favorite. I don’t like the taste of it (tastes kind of medicinal to me) and the color payoff is just barely noticeable. I also don’t like how I have to squeeze the tube hard in order to get product because it feels stuck inside the tube and the lip balm doesn’t easily spread. In other words, it’s not really like a gloss but legit a balm in a tube. I wouldn’t repurchase and feel I get better hydration from other balms or aquaphor as the Lanolips doesn’t really feel moisturizing on my lips.

Two things that drew me to this product were that it contains lanolin which is excellent for the skin, and the SPF factor. It was affordable, though a little more than I would normally pay for a lip balm. The texture is as expected for a balm, goes on smoothly, and doesn't dry out my lips like some of my cheaper lip glosses can. I love the colour of it, goes well with my skin tone, and would probably work well for most people as it is fairly sheer. Smells nice and seems to have a slight hint of vanilla. Like any other balm, it does need to be reapplied fairly frequently.
I purchased this a few years ago, and recently found it in a purse I hadn’t used in a while. I was THRILLED to find out that the product did not oxidize, did not go rancid (like a tube of medical-grade lanolin I purchased from another company around that time). I can attest that this is an incredibly quality of lanolin being used. The only thing I’d recommend to keep the rich color in place is that this be put on top of a matte lipstick or put after a lip liner. The product is amazingly moisturizing, but the color will run fairly quickly.
So I didn't love this at first as I thought it made my lips drier, but I think I was having a rough day and was expecting too much from it. For me it's not a chapped lips solution but an add-on blanket on top of moisturised lips. Only then does the product shine through and for the colour to sit well. It is a little thinner than the other lanolips products I've tried, but not too much at least. Also sidenote, I thought the packaging would be opaque but it's actually see-through. Not really a negative but just didn't expect it haha.
I love this balm passionately: so comfortable, great shine without getting glossy, the nude shade is perfect on me, delicious scent. Unless I’m wearing other lip makeup, this is what I wear every single day. The only issue is the tube applicator! This is a thick, rich, pigmented formula, and it gets messy on direct application too easily. I love it so much that I’m willing to go the extra steps of fingertip application, but a better option would be so welcome!
Oh my GOD where has this product been my whole life?? I'm a huge Aquaphor girl but I also love the look of lipstick. This tinted balm is so incredible. It's been 48 hours and I'm head over heels. I wore it just by itself with my everyday makeup and it's such a pretty color and so nourishing. I didn't reapply ONCE across a five hour date + dinner and I'm just so pleased. Please, Lanolips, make a bright brick red, a warm coral, a burnt rust, and fun shimmery peach!! I'd buy them all.
