Lansinoh Natural Wave 2 Feeding Bottles 3 Months and + 240 ml

Lansinoh Natural Wave 2 Feeding Bottles 3 Months and + 240 ml are baby bottles designed to reduce the risk of confusion between breast and teat. The anti-colic ventilation system reduces air absorption, one of the causes of colic. The reinforced, hard-wearing teat has vertical ridges. The soft, flexible peristaltic teat adapts to baby's palate so that his tongue reproduces the "wave" movement. The wide base makes it easy to hold in the mouth. Compatible with all Lansinoh breast pumps. Stacking lid included. BPA- and BPS-free.

We have exclusively used these bottles for two months now. My baby loves them. They are easy to assemble, easy to clean, and easy to hold. They have markings for up to 5 ounces, but if you fill it up to the neck, it holds 6 ounces. It's a nice compact size that's easy to take in the diaper bag. This is also a great bottle to use if you still nurse. My baby has no problem going between this bottle and nursing.Very occasionally, the nipple will leak a little, but if you remove it, dry it, and put it back on the ring, it will stop leaking.Overall, it's a great go-to bottle.

We have had issues feeding our baby from the beginning when she was born nearly 11 lbs and momma was not making enough breastmilk for such a hungry chonker baby. We ended up needing to mix breastfeeding with formula supplementation in order to keep up with baby’s growth and we quickly realized the couple basic bottles we had weren’t going to be enough. Cue frantic product research on what kinds of bottles were best for using alongside breastfeeding and we ended up going on a months long journey trying out several different brands. After our journey I would really encourage people to be very skeptical of bottle company claims of "breast like", "perfect latch", "natural feel" nipple shapes as they don't really need to back that up with any real science. After our journey I would really encourage people to be very skeptical of bottle company claims of "breast like", "perfect latch", "natural feel" nipple shapes as they don't really need to back that up with any real science. All these poorly shaped bottles plus other factors means our baby has nipple confusion and now hates to be breastfed even though momma is now making plenty of milk to feed baby and it has been a struggle every feeding. After eventually seeing a lactation consultant and having enough time to read some of the lactation books out there we decided to try these bottles since they had a nipple that looked ideal. The wide taper and really soft silicone requires the baby to manipulate the nipple in almost the same way as a breast in order to suck. Baby initially got frustrated with these nipples in exactly the same way as with the breast, which is how we knew we had found the right bottle to help her to breastfeed again. In addition to the nipple shape: the anti colic vent is simple and effective, the bottle is ergonomically curved and easy to hold, paced feeding is easy thanks to good visibility of the milk and taller bottle shape, the cap is removable one handed and doesn't roll away, the bottle fits the lansinoh breast pump which is the best one we tried, and the measuring lines are readable and accurate. The bottle is a pretty standard size and fits nicely in diaper bags, cup holders, sterilizers, and bottle warmers. There are a few shortcomings though that hold this bottle back over its near twin, the Pigeon Nursing bottles. Firstly, the 2S "slow flow" nipple flow rate is way too high for infants and early babies. Our baby is 4 months old now and still chokes on the fast flow of these nipples. It might be fine for an older baby, but its a mess to feed baby with so fast a flow. I think Lansinoh assumes you have waited the unrealistic recommendation of 6 months before introducing a bottle and sets the nipple flow accordingly. They also annoyingly don't sell a slower flow. The other more minor gripe I have is that the bottle plastic is pretty thin and lightweight which doesn't seem like it will hold up over a long time.Ultimately these bottles are great, but I still wouldn't choose them because the pigeon bottles exist. They have the same shaped nipple available at slower flow rates, and sturdier bottle materials like borosilicate glass and PPSU. The caps are interchangeable between the bottle brands so you could also just buy a few Pigeon nipples for while the baby is too little to use the faster flow on these bottles.

I should have bought this bottle long time ago. I have been having a hard time trying to get my baby to transition to breast and bottle feeding. I have literally tried all kinds of brands and silicone and rubber and nothing took with my baby! He is 3 months now and it has been more difficult to get him to take a bottle because I have not been consistent with bottle feeding. I just received this today just in time for his next feeding and boy let me tell you! He was sucking this bottle like he hasn’t ate in days! The nipple is super soft and flexible, and it has that wide base that imitates the breast so their lips flange out perfectly. I now swear by this! Thank you lansinoh for actually making a real bottle for breastfed babies, and thank you Amazon for the quick ... MoreI should have bought this bottle long time ago. Bottle Refusal? Not anymore!
25 March 2023

We started trying to introduce a bottle to my ENF baby around 9 weeks old. She wasn’t having it. I wasn’t stressed at the time because I had 6 more weeks until I returned to work. Fast forward to the week before I return to work, and this little lady STILL wouldn’t take Mam, Phillips Avent, or Minbie. It was disheartening. We prayed and prayed and God reminded me that the definition of insanity (which is what I felt) is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So I searched through my mom group and saw this bottle mentioned numerous times. We ordered them. The first few times she just chewed and latched a few times (which was improvement) but never drank. I sent her to daycare for a day away from Momma, and she latched immediately! She has ... MoreWe started trying to introduce a bottle to my ENF baby around 9 weeks old. She wasn’t having it. The flow is faster, but so is my letdown. Lol Lanisoh for life!

Easy Transition Glass Bottle
20 March 2022

I received these Lansinoh glass bottles to try and review as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 8 month old is fed through a combination of breastfeeding and bottle feeding, and she typically uses a few different brands of bottles, one with a wide “natural” shape. Using these bottles, she took to the natural shape of this bottle nipple right away, and the medium flow was perfect for her, if not maybe a tiny bit slow. I will be shopping for the fast flow replacement nipples soon. These came with the medium flow nipple. I loved that there were no extra finicky parts to clean, and the glass bottle was super easy to wash with a soft bottle brush but would also do well in a dishwasher. The glass bottle is a little heavier for her to hold, so she required a little assistance, but she tends to like having her bottle fed to her anyway. Being that these are glass, I love the fact that I know there are not plastic chemicals getting into her milk, but I hesitate to send them to daycare because I do not want to be responsible for a dropped bottle/broken glass mishap. I would love to see a removable silicone sleeve to go with this bottle to protect from accidental drops. These bottles do seem very durable, but I have not dropped one yet, and I really do not care to test it out on my tile floor at home. I have a feeling they probably would survive a short fall, but could break if dropped just right. All in all, a great glass bottle option for those looking to avoid feeding from plastic and a nice natural shaped nipple. Thank you, Stellar, for allowing me the chance to try this bottle out!

Great bottle for older baby
5 May 2024

We switched to this larger bottle when my baby started taking 6 oz for first morning feeds. For other feedings, we continued using the smaller Lansinoh bottles. One note about the medium flow nipples: they leak too much in my opinion, dripped some milk on the carpet when baby tossed the bottle. We ended up going back to slow flow Lansinoh nipples to use with this bottle and that solved the problem.Another note: breastfed or formely breatfed babies can keep using the slow flow nipples the whole time they need a bottle, no need to up the nipple flow size.

Great nipple shape bad nipple flow
11 November 2023

These bottles were recommended by a lactation consultant for being a great breastfeeding bottle so I gave them a shot. The nipple is ideal for breastfeeding babies because it fosters a wide latch so as far as the nipple goes, it’s 5 stars. They lost stars for me because they are plastic bottles & I prefer glass (or silicone/stainless). I knew they were plastic when I purchased them so I can’t fault the bottle for that, however when I sterilized the bottles, per the instructions, they turned brown on the sides which just emphasizes why I hate plastic bottles. The other huge hang up I have is that I ordered the slow flow nipple and I feel like the flow is way faster than others on the market. If the plan is that you’re trying to supplement with a bottle or switch back and forth from this bottle and breast, a slow flow is key for most babies to keep them interested in breastfeeding, so I’m really unhappy with how fast these seem.

Nipples are way too fast
12 September 2024

The nipple shape is excellent for breastfeeding & bottle feeding. The flow however is INCREDIBLY fast. Even the slowest flow offered. Thankfully pigeon nipples are perfect & actually fit perfectly. They are priceier which is why I bought these bottles, but if your baby is still on slow flow these will not work. My poor guy looked like he was drowning. A bottle that usually takes him 15-20 minutes took 7. Not good. Very fussy & not feeling good after.

I love this brand of bottles, although when you’re putting in scoops of powder formula it’s hard to fit it all in when you are trying to make an 8 fl oz bottle because each scoop of powder adds 0.2 fl oz to the prepared bottle so that a starting 8 fl oz bottle easily turns into 9 fl oz. It would be nice if they made these bottles hold 12 fl oz to make extra room for the powder. They should have taken that into consideration when making these bottles in the first place. For this reason, I am giving four stars. The nipples to these bottles are great. Some of the lids that hold the nipples and caps in place don’t hold the caps well because of a manufacture error where the indentions on the lids aren’t deep enough to keep the caps on so they just don’t stay on. I couldn't figure out what went wrong and worked very hard to get my supply back up for a couple of days. I called a lactation consultant and discussed what's been happening and they informed me I should not continue using the bottle if my baby is refusing to feed from me and gave me advise to build my supply back up. I really wanted to love this product, besides this confusion, I've also noticed my baby gulps in air while eating from this bottle we he had taken it that it caused him a lot of tummy pain. My baby rarely ever needs to burp and never has tummy troubles, just breastfeeding. I will be trying these bottles when my baby is a little older, but this whole experience was very hard on both of us, and I regret purchasing this product
