I have the one in the purple tube and it works great! It feels amazing when you’re in pain and really feels like it’s helping and healing between feedings. It’s very thick and you have to warm it up between your fingertips before applying otherwise it’ll just tug and pull your skin and kinda clump but once you get the hang of it, it’s quick and soothing. I also like that I don’t have to worry about washing it off. Bonus it also helps keep your breastfeeding pads in place because it’s kinda tacky/sticky (hahaha) and this tube will last forever because a little goes a long way. Bought it with my first child and am pregnant with my third, still using the same tube. It’s great as lip balm as well.

This is a must for any nursing mama. Especially for the first few months. When nursing, baby can have a strong suction that it can cause chaffing, cracking and sometimes bleeding nipples. I see this all the time after each feeding. It helps calms and soothes your nipples. Trust me, it works. The best part is that it doesn't harm baby because it's safe. I always wiped my nipples off whith a warm soft wash cloth prior to nursing because I wanted to make sure I am extra careful of what goes into my baby even though it does state that is safe for baby. It's also good for your chapped lips and diaper rash. Amazing product.

This is only nipple balm I purchased. But I am very satisfied with it. Also it was recommended by a midwife. I had really serious sore nipples for the first few weeks of my baby's birth. I had to express and breast feeding at the same time. This balm helped me to recover from it and I'm continue using them after 6 weeks. The another great feature is that you don't need to removing it before you breast feeding.

A great organic option

I’m breastfeeding my second baby and at this point have been breastfeeding straight for 2 years and 9 months. My nipples definitely need a little love and care. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to try the Lansinoh Organic Nipple Balm. I absolutely love this balm. Mainly because of the ingredients; they are all natural which is amazing! I love seeing organic product options for mamas with ingredients including olive oil and coconut oil. The best thing about the balm is that I don’t have to worry about washing my nipples off before feeding again. It’s perfectly safe for baby to have in her mouth. I don’t like highly scented items anyways. In the past I have used organic coconut oil, which works great, but this balm is way less greasy than my coconut oil and moisturizes better. It’s very easy to apply and because it’s natural and non toxic I can rub the extra into my hands without having to worry about washing after each application. Thanks again to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me the opportunity to try this product. Also, thank you to Lansinoh for seeing the need for organic and natural items to use for breastfeeding mommas, it makes this season of life a lot easier!

Best care around for cracked and sore nipples

For many of us, those first few days of breastfeeding a newborn are tough! It's amazing to bond with your adorable newborn. Every time they're put into your arms, you get that warm (sleep deprived) glow...but then you have to breastfeed them, which is both heartwarming and...painful. I was worried that spreading with my finger would cause some discomfort, but it didn't. I appreciate that it's organic and I don't have to worry about removing it before the next BFing session (five minutes later!) I also appreciate that there is no scent. Sometimes "scentless" means it has a funky smell, but this simply has no smell at all. This has earned a permanent place in my diaper bag. It lasts a long time and even comes in handy as lip balm or some emergency diaper cream.

Highly Recommend to all my expecting friends/family

This is my second time breastfeeding/pumping and I sure wish I had this nipple balm the first time around. I like it much more than traditional lanolin. A little goes a long way and I feel like I have to use much less of it at each application vs traditional lanolin, the jar will last a long time! The consistency is great, it is solid in the jar but melts with my body temperature when applied. I love that it's organic as I don't have to worry about my baby ingesting it if I nurse sooner than expected after applying. It doesn't really have an odor or color which I love as well. It's non greasy and not sticky compared to other products I've tried. I also have friends allergic to lanolin so this is a great option for them too. I was nervous about the glass as it might break but I actually prefer the glass - no BPA from plastic packaging and it's harder for my 2 year old to get into. I noticed the packaging said it's for dry skin as well so I tried it on my dry cuticles and husbands cracked heels as well and it's worked wonders. Overall since I used this from the beginning I haven't had any issues with nursing or pumping, thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this nipple balm!

Love this natural option for baby and me

When I was pregnant with my first child, a friend of mine told me that nipple balm was completely unnecessary and that I should just put some expressed milk on cracked nipples. I learned in the hospital how wrong I was for not purchasing some balm to bring with me to get through those first painful weeks. The nurse at the hospital then gave me soothies. Did you know that you're not supposed to nurse your baby after using soothies without washing your nipples first? Imagine washing your pained, cracked nipples while trying to shushh a crying baby...yeah, that's why I switched to nipple balm. You can apply it at any point and feed baby right after - MUCH simpler process when you're fighting off sleep deprivation. I used the regular lansinoh balm when dealing with the early ouchies, and then switched to earth mama baby angel butter balm to use when I needed it but also to lube up my flanges when I pumped. I liked that balm okay but it turned on me and kind of curdled, if that makes any sense. Enter this lansinoh nipple balm. It has zero scent and a nice light texture. I like that it's made from organic ingredients and is easy to use with a nursing baby or pumping. I got this for free as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I'm so happy about it! Nice little score which I would highly recommend! Don't let anyone tell you that you can get away without any type of nipple relief in the early days of nursing - your nips will pay.

Smooth operator
30 April 2020

This nipple balm is a smooth operator ;) and has quickly become an essential tool for me in breastfeeding baby number three. It glides smoothly on my skin and brings instant relief to my sore nipple areas, whether after nursing or pumping. I am used to using lanolin creams that are very sticky and hard to squeeze out of their tubes. This jar design is especially useful for middle-of-the-night applications, unlike the tubes because you can't see if and how much is coming out of the tubes in the dark and half asleep.I also love that this balm uses organic, plant-based ingredients. It gives me peace of mind as this goes into my baby's mouth every time I nurse her. And there is no odor.To be honest, I was skeptical of this product at first. I had previously tried a similar organic product also packaged in a cute little jar that had wonderful reviews. It had bits of solid matter (maybe shea butter?) that I first had to melt on my fingertips; it was greasy, yellowish, and really didn't work that well, so I had to go back to using thick, sticky lanolin cream. I was expecting the same results with this, but this one actually works. The jar is 2 oz but a little goes a long way. I have used the balm for about a couple of weeks and it still looks barely used. So I've tried other uses...I have applied it on the baby's face where she has scratched herself and also to my dry, cracked lips. And aside from moisturizing my lips, it also gave them a nice sheen! So grateful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this nipple balm!

The Lansinoh nipple balm has a smooth texture that doesn’t leave an oily residue on your clothes. Not quite as thick as Vaseline but a little bit like that feeling. I don’t suffer from sore, cracked, or bleeding nipples, so I can’t speak on the product if those are your issues. However, mine do get dry and very itchy after I started breastfeeding if I don’t keep them moisturized. The Lansinoh nipple balm has completely stopped the itching from happening, which is great. Some of the other products I have tried have left an oily residue on my clothes or have a texture more like a sugars scrub which I don’t want to be rubbing on my nipples right now. I would recommend this product for dry itchy nipples from breast feeding.

I love this product because it does not contain any lanolin which seems to be a controversial item if you google it. Some will say too much of it is harmful so I went with this all natural item as the ingredients are all things my household already uses on our skin and hair. I feel 💯 safe using this item. It doesn’t break my baby out as I’m breastfeeding and it hasn’t stained any clothes or bras. Ladies a little goes a long way, I repeat use sparingly as it can last probably months. Since it’s so greasy and smooth a drop does it for me after each feeding and it’s been a godsend for the sore and cracked nipples. I noticed a difference within hours. The price was a bit much but there are other Brands out there.
