This 25-year-old single malt Scotch is distilled at Laphroaig on the isle of Islay. Matured slowly for a total of 25 years exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels, this expression is bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.4% abv free from chill filtration. The maturity of this release brings an intriguing and elegant character intertwined with Laphroaig's characteristic flavours. The nose is peaty and medicinal with sweet notes of vanilla, golden syrup and biscuit, before dry hay and white pepper. The palate has luxurious manuka honey to the fore with fragrant heather, wood smoke, salted toffee and stewed fruits. The finish is peaty and salty with a typically Islay sea breeze.
