Each year, the Distillery Manager at Laphroaig (John Campbell in this case) handcrafts a limited edition for the "Friends of Laphroaig" to celebrate friendship ("Cairdeas" in Gaelic). This 2020 release is a marriage of fully matured second fill Ruby Port barriques and ex-bourbon barrels, finished in red wine casks. Aromas of dark chocolate and menthol with pink peppercorns. Toasted peaches, charred marshmallows with a hint of plum jam. A combination of sweet peat smoke.
