This perfume smells absolutely divine. I will be wearing it to church because it will not drown out people around me. It is quite pleasant and heavenly. It makes my eyes roll to the back of my head - it's so good. Even the oud in it is not over-powering at all. It has a lovely vanilla-sugary sweetness in it as well. It leans mostly feminine in my opinion but I can certainly enjoy smelling this on a man. I will be ordering another bottle very soon. I don't think I can allow myself to run out of this one. Please do not discontinue or price this one too high. This is definitely a compliment getter.

Big problem with this

This was a terrific purchase. For the first 2-3 weeks, I smelled a perfume whose quality was 5x the price I paid. It smells like a classy woody caramel-y vanilla and oud (although synthetic) based perfume. Terrific longevity on clothes and skin. However after 3 weeks as I am writing this review, whenever I spray, I can only smell extremely faint and sweet resin and at the dry down some very faint woody accords. Not sure it is problem with the perfume or my nose or Indian weather. I would really like it to smell the way it smelled for first 2 weeks. I have 4 other edp from this brand lattafa, and although I don't like half of them, none of them have this issue. I will update this review if anything changes in coming months. Give it some time

When I initially opened the bottle, I got musk (not in a good way) straight out the gate like some other commenters said. However, I wanted to give this perfume a chance, as I know it takes time for the DNA of the perfume to really take form. After several paper test sprays/dry downs, I began to smell the sweet pear note predominantly (this shocked me because the musk was no longer predominant. I felt my mind was playing tricks on me). Then behind the pear a citrusy note followed (maybe the bergamot because I didn't smell any orange), and I was like…okay I see what you're doing. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't reach for it everyday UNLESS I have a scent combination that pairs (pun intended) really nicely with it. I may do an update if I do find one. Great fragrance for the price!

Great fragrance for the price! At first spritz, i was disapointed as the smell reminded me of Oud For glory, which is frome the same house (Lattafa) and which i already have. I'd just say don't rush into conclusions just like i did; This fragrance will take you by surprise as it really starts to shine like 2-3 minutes afterwards. The smell subtly swifts from basic Oud to like another DNA, more gourmand, not too sweet, and yet still masculine. Some youtubers compare this perfume to By the Fire Place; Never smelt it before so won't be able to compare but all i can say is that it smells and performs really great and if you spray over your clothes (preferably dark tones, not on white shirts as it could stain) it would last 10 hours easily. It's a nice fragrance. Very strong. I made the mistake of spraying my usual amount. Although, that was a bit of a mistake. So, I guess I can say that the longevity is quite long lasting. At least a few hours.I made this purchase on the basis that it is very simular to Fireplace.By the Fireplace has been on my rotation for quite some time.Unfortunately, this is not a Fireplace dupe. Regardless of what the reviews say.The only brands that have even come close are Oakcha and Dossier. Anyway, I was just curious to try it out for myself.I, by no means am disappointed.It's actually pretty good.Smokey, with plenty of Oud.Warm, earthy and intense.For me, most of my collection consists of Tom Ford, YSL, Dior and PD Marly. Nice packaging and bottle. I don't own dior sauvage elixir but I have smelled a tester at Macy's and I must say it's very very close like 93% surprisingly. The initial blast has the harsh black pepper opening but not overly strong like the original. Now, you have to give this cologne a few minutes to get to the dry down as you can be put off by the harsh and spiciness. But in the dry down, it's really nice, smells good, a little sweet with enough vanilla. It's really loud so 3-4 sprays should be enough to get you through the day (great longevity/projection). Honestly, I don't think I would need the original because this right here is Dior sauvage elixir in disguise on a budget. If you are not into strong colognes, I'd suggest you test it first. Just stand back and take it that this fragrance exhibits the same basic scent profile or DNA as its niche counterparts and performs as well as, if not better, than they do - at fraction of the price. Although I don't wear fragrances to garner compliments, I did receive numerous compliments when wearing this. If you are into deep oud scent profile with a touch of cinnamon bathed in sweet rum (as it smells to me), this is your safe blind buy. And the performance was amazing - at least 10 hours on my skin, which basically means that I can wear it in the morning and count on it to last through the entire work day. Not like the real Baccarat

I bought the real Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait for my hubby for Xmas so I know what it smells like. So I wanted this for myself to test out of curiosity and interest. The first spray smells very similar to the real thing- then that smell quickly goes away and what's left is a sweet nail polish like smell. I say nail polish because that's really how I can describe it. I wasn't sure what type of chemicals are in this so I only spray it on my wrists- so - now you know what it smells like :) it's not bad it's just nail polish fruity - it's the best way to describe it. It's not alluring or wonderful like the real Baccarat Rouge is. Better to buy the real thing lol 😆 but actually - I'm still trying other dupes to see if I can find a better one :)
