I bought it with the toaster. The design is Laura Ashley apparently but the quality is appalling-the kettle stank of plastic on the inside. The instructions say to boil it at least 11 times to eliminate it. Both items are poorly made. The metal is tin and is in quality less sturdy. The pushdown lever doesn't work all the time and I know it will be no time at all before it ceases working altogether. Looks pretty poor quality,

I love this kettle so much. It boils quickly, the lid and spout are perfectly designed so that no steam escapes while pouring, and the temperature gauge ensures that the water is the right temperature for different types of tea. Plus it's beautiful to look at and gives me a little mood boost every morning.

Beautiful kettle

Beautiful looking kettle. Boils quickly and fairly quiet. I bought one for my daughter and loved the look so much purchased one for myself. The temperature gauge is useful as it lets you know how recently the water was boiled. Both very happy with the kettle.

Don’t waste you’re money…

Terrible quality products, have already received a refund for the kettle as the button wouldn’t stay down & now in the middle of complaining about the toaster (it cooks only 1/2 the bread & you need to then flip it over) both items less than 6 months old!!! Really annoying refund process with 3rd party seller too…. Bought the set for mum as a gift & now I’m just really annoyed & disappointed that both items were faulty!!!! She will now go back to Kmart appliances that last her a few years & are 1/4 of the price!

Pretty kettle

Loved this kettle. Bought with matching toaster to match new kitchen. Unfortunately the on/off switch wouldn’t stay down. I was given a replacement but that one turns itself on and off intermittently during waiting for it to boil. Very disappointed.such a shame. Wasn’t cheap to buy either.

Pretty, but not that great considering the price.

Beautiful design but a few flaws. The lid is a little dangerous as the stainless steel ring gets extremely hot once the kettle has boiled, for those of you who like to refill your kettle straight away (especially for those of you in an office!) it’s a little impractical to wait for it to fully cool down.If you try to refill the kettle through the spout you’ll lose the filter as it sits in the spout very precariously. The white colour of the lid discolours easily as well. Otherwise it’s a pretty design but it looks a lot nicer on the web than in real life! The kettle is quiet whilst boiling which is a plus.

already stopped working less than 2 months

Kettle looks lovely, but the switch to boil the water stopped working for no apparent reason. Also, the silver coating on it has started to peel. I've never purchased a kettle for this price for it to be such poor quality. Extremely disappointing.

an expensive disappointment

Do not purchase, for an expensive kettle from what i thought was a superb brand it has failed miserably. I read a couple of reviews but thought it might be user error, I was so wrong! the dial on the front is not covered in metal/chrome its peel off silver plastic and peeling away, even the switch is not metal its peel away plastic, you cant get a full kettle as it spills out the spout! Steam literally comes out of the lid edge leading to a burn hazard. And now the switch is stuck down but not turning on at all. I am so disappointed with Laura Ashley kettle which is such a shame since it is beautiful to look at and everyone comments on it, pity its not fit for purpose :(

small complaints

The nylon lid seal was twisted & the silver coating on the " on/off" switch has partly worn off. Condensation can build up in the stampings that hold the top seal if positioned over the spout. Water level gauge is hard to see at times. It looks good & the Temp. gauge is handy.
