Our Nespresso milk foamer died after many years of stalwart service so, after consulting Which?, we went with their top recommendation. We love this new machine because it makes the silkiest, thickest and longest lasting frothed milk we've come across. The cold foam is just as smooth and silky as the hot though we rarely use it. The non-stick coating makes it very easy to clean. One of us prefers a smaller amount of foam and finds that this is most easily achieved by weighing in 50 grammes of milk as the lowest mark is difficult to see unless the light is just right.Because it makes the best foam ever, we're prepared to put up with the (to us) iritating beeps and the (slightly) longer time it takes to operate. The lid has no overhang and can be awkward to remove ... The lid has no overhang and can be awkward to remove and, somehow, we end up with more dribbles down the side than with our previous machine; I hope that the milk which settles in the tiny gap between the metal collar and the plastic body stays at the top and doesn't lead to problems inside; a dry tooth or nail brush removes the visible crust.

Ideal for a cup or 2, if you want anymore you need to put it on again but that's what I was looking for as I find the minimum level in other ones too much for me. It looks nice on the kitchen top and is quite small. Froth is super dense and lovely, the best I ever got with any other machine. Super easy to use, just press a bottom and you have 3 different options: Hot milk with froth, mix without froth or cold milk with froth. Easy to clean, just be aware you can not put the whole thing under the tap, I rinse tje inside cup very carefully with a bit of water, clean it inside with sponge, dry it with kitchen roll and is ready to use again. The mixer and lid can be washed normally. To me, it was worth the money and to be honest I think it's a very good value for the ... I bought this when it was on offer as a treat for myself. For me it makes delicious cappuccinos by foaming a barrista style oat milk. It is quick to use and easy to clean. It is a bit pricey for what it is but worth it as no shop or cafe bought cappuccino can match the taste and appearance of my home made one !My ideal Cappuccino : Fill a wide rimmed cup up to 2/3 of your preferred coffee brew and then slowly pour in your freshly foamed milk until the top layer sits just above the top edge of the cup, then gently sieve using a tea strainer, a half teaspoon of cocoa or drinking chocolate powder. Sit back and enjoy.

I chose this product based on the reviews that it got the milk hot rather than just warm and could be used with nut milks too. Other similar products were considerably more expensive and had comments about the non-stick coating failing. I've used this daily for around 10 days now and am happy with my purchase. It can be used to heat and froth milk using one setting after another for a small mug of hot, frothy cappuccino or hot chocolate which is what I wanted it for. The milk isn't piping hot as from a pan but is equivalent to the same products in coffee shops. Unlike other users I found it very easy to use from both the quick start guide and instructions on the lid. I have only used it for nut milks so far. The staff at Lavazza responded quickly to my enquiry about non-dairy milks so good customer service from both them and John Lewis.
It took me ages to decide which milk frother to go for. I chose this one because of the price point and reviews. I am glad that I did. I bought this for my husband for Father's Day as well as the JL induction stove top espresso maker. They are a good pair. The frother works very well. I make 2 quick clicks to heat up some milk, add it to my espresso, add a bit more milk to the frother, 1 click and then I top it up with pillowy foam. It's very quiet, barely produces a hum. I made 3 regular sized cappuccinos and made 2/3 batches of milk/foam but it takes no time at all. It's so quick. Preheat your cup beforehand and your drink will be piping hot.A definite no brainer.
Use this to froth milk.. Froths milk quickly.. Easy to clean. Only drawback is that milk level indicators on the inside are a little difficult to see,The best solution to this is get some digital scales out and fill to the min line and then weigh in ml and note the this down. Repeat for the other lines For each line pour into clear measuring cup or similar and mark the level.
I have been a Nespresso machine user since they were first released and always been impressed by them. I'[m a bit of a coffee snob and this is as near as you're going to get without having to grind your own beans to the real thing. I'm a flat white drinker so always need a decent frother. Especially during lockdown. We must have had at least 5 of the aeroccinos over the years and all of them (despite differing models) have had the same exact fault. Even if you clean and dry after each use, the little milk burn issue will start and before you know it, the non-stick coating peels and the thing is unsightly and eventually fails as the milk burns and the internal thermostat gets confused. This machine has a different, more substantial and smarter looking "whisk" ... This machine has a different, more substantial and smarter looking "whisk" design which means that it spins across the whole base, rather than just where the wire part does on the aerocinno. It looks like it means that the burn mark will be avoided. It's early days yet having been just two weeks, so we can't be 100% sure but it's certainly promising and i'm glad we have finally entertained an alternative. The process does seem to take a little longer (2 mins) from start to finish than the aeroccino, but so far each use has resulted in a noticeably more velvety milk texture, which is very good news and i'm feeling a little smug after each pour. The thing has a pleasant matt finish which feels premium quality and looks stylish on our counter top. The only minor negative i can think of compared with the aeroccino, is that there is an unnecessary and fairly shrill 'beep', when you place the jug on the base and when you start the spin cycle. But i can live with that, if it means we don't get the dreaded burn mark and the thing fails on us.As this is JL, i know they will honour the fault anyway with a replacement, so we have peace of mind either way. Win.In conclusion on this important matter, I'm pleased we switched frother brands and would recommend this product.
I have used a few different frothers in different people's homes but this Lavazza one (bought really out of brand loyalty and so it could sit next to our A Modo Mio coffee maker) is the best. It froths beautifully, even with the non-dairy milk we use, it is quick, and it is very easy to clean. The whisk design that sits on a flat bottom means it is an easy shape to clean and the whisk comes straight out to also be cleaned. There are more expensive products but I would question why bother paying when this one is perfect.
Handy little gadget and does froth the milk well BUT it is very difficult to keep clean. Having had it a while the milk gets stuck to the sides and if you do not wash it immediately you cannot get the dried milk off. You have to leave the lid off as well (especially in hotter weather) as it starts to smell cheesy quite quickly. Have now purchased one that can go in the dishwasher and can be thoroughly cleaned especially the integral whisk.
I'm very pleased with this milk frother. I bought it in order top up my coffee with hot milk rather than cold, as that makes such a difference to me. The machine is very easy to operate; heats the milk up quickly to the correct temperature for milk (just below boiling). But if required the machine also froths milk very well too.I've only used skimmed milk in it so far as that's what LaVazza recommend in their instructions but I think you can use other types successfully too. You can heat up to 180ml or froth to 120ml so it does not make a great deal at one go, but is ideal I find for one person (2. cups).
