I purchased this brasier as my go-to pot for daily meals that involve frying and sauteeing and it's been a dream. I've used it for a variety of meals, none of them involve braising at all. It's great for sautéing vegetables, frying tofu, baking cardamom rolls, stir-frying noodles, and making just about everything else you use a frying pan for. Just be sure to use enough oil (or deglaze as required) to make clean-up a breeze. I've needed some elbow grease (and heating it up with water at the bottom) to get it clean a few times (particularly after a gnocchi & Brussels sprouts dish) but it's always come out looking brand new. I'd highly recommend this beautiful, quality product for a lifetime of cooking. I leave it out on the stove all the time because it's so nice to ... MoreI purchased this brasier as my go-to pot for daily meals that involve frying and sauteeing and it's been a dream. This is my third purchase from Harts of Stur. I always find the staff to be super helpful, efficient and they always send out my purchases by next day! This is incredible as I’m based in Essex. The goods arrive in fully recyclable/biodegradable packaging. They have previously price matched 2 of these items and as they are reliable and so speedy at delivering the products I always prefer to use them instead of other suppliers.I have purchased the le creuset shallow casserole in cerise 30cm. This is an excellent sized pot with a lid which I will use most days. I have used it so far to cook a sausage casserole. The sausages had a lovely, even golden brown rather than the darker brown from my previous frying pan. The lid is very helpful and I prefer the larger handles ... MoreThis is my third purchase from Harts of Stur. Truth be told, I have had my eye on this everyday pan since the holiday season and I decided to treat myself. I purchased it and made my favorite roasted chicken dish, perfectly. The chicken looked beautiful in the pan. I made a frittata the next day.Spectacular. It is easy to clean. I used the Weiman glass top cleaner, for cleaning my Le Creuset cookware.

Ordered the sage colour and was disappointed to find the enamelling was not thick enough to cover the dark coloured undercoat. Went to exchange but found the ones instore had the same defect. I'm sure it doesn't affect the use of the product but when paying so much money I don't expect such imperfections. I have bought le creuset cast iron before and never experienced this issue. Not the quality I expect from a brand like le creuset.
I love Staub but this is my first piece of Le Creuset, it's not fussy to use, aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean with boiling water and soda. Be sure to dry and oil the non enamel metal rim as it will rust exposed to wetness overnight. Having it made me wants to cook with it everyday! Cons is i underestimate the size is too huge for small family, it could easily feed up to 6-8 ppl
Have been wanting a 3.5 qt braiser for a while now and decided that since I would use it multiple times per week I should spring for a Le Creuset. If you cook every night you deserve and need top line tools and so I bit the bullet and got the Cadillac as a birthday present to myself. I have used it several times and can tell that it is definitely worth the extra money and is now my go to pan. Love this thing. Cooks evenly and clean up is a breeze. I get myself the best presents!!
Use this several times a week, sometimes as an additional fry pan. Love the fact the fact i can use on electric stove top as well as in oven. It just depends on what else I’m cooking but this braizer is so flexible and forgiving. I get perfect results every time whether it’s meat potatoes and onions or a shepherds pie or hash brown casserole or corn bread or beef stew. I’ve split a chicken in half, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice and it was delish! I’m not one to follow specific recipes but now I want to because if it’s this good on my throw together meals it’s got to be excellent on some of the yummy recipes on their website. I would love to have a recipe book by Le Creuset with just simple recipes in it... ... MoreUse this several times a week, sometimes as an additional fry pan. I would love to have a recipe book by Le Creuset with just simple recipes in it... nothing fancy... just because it’s made in France doesn’t mean it isn’t perfect for a good old thrown together meat and veggies American dinner! Did I mention i LOVE this braiser? Well, I do!I would love to replace every other cooking pot or pan i have with Le Creuset. I have tried a lot of other brands from inexpensive to the high dollar ones and they just don’t compare to quality or results. I can’t wait to replace them!
The product is great. Trying to buy it from David Jones was a nightmare. Bought it online to collect at store. Went to store 5 hours later over lunch to get it. Was told it hadn’t been “picked up” yet and I would need to come back later. Went to the kitchen section and got the cast iron pan in a box for them. Was then told that they needed to “pick it” and I couldn’t have this one. After a long discussion, I left the store without the product and went to a competitor that rhyme with “fyers”. What a terrible experience.
To be honest I bought this pen because of the color ! (Cool mint) I do not have a lot of experience with cast iron but they kept talking about the sear you get and heat retention. My other concern was that I have a glass stove top and heard a story about the color coming off and sticking to the burner therefore ruining it. However to be fair I think they left it burning at high heat and had let the liquid run dry. So for 3 yrs I’ve been scared to use any pan with a colored/painted bottom for fear of that story. After doing a little reading online it said to use medium heat for searing and low for simmering etc. so my tip is just go down a little compared to if your used to using other pans. I had no trouble with paint from the bottom burning off and onto my stove ... MoreTo be honest I bought this pen because of the color ! I had no trouble with paint from the bottom burning off and onto my stove top. I just cooked a steak and put the dial right in the middle and it was perfect just don’t be tempted to turn up the heat like I was. Also it said do not pre-heat your pan with nothing in it just put a pat of butter or oil while pre-heating. Please Nate get us some more matching pieces/ utensils crocks etc in this cool mint ! I am obsessed! I also ordered the coffee mug and mini crocette and the TSV from last week and I love them all !! PS I dint want to put these pieces away they’re so pretty to look at they’ve been on my stove since I got them!!
I’ve wanted a Le Creuset shallow casserole for years and finally bought it on sale. Don’t know how I waited so long I’ve used it weekly since it arrived. Good heat distribution, goes well in the oven, looks great when serving straight out of the pan. Cleans very easily as well. Ordering online was easy and delivery was quick.
