We were given a deep non stick pan with glass lid for Xmas in 2011. Whilst cooking on the hob in Sept 2012 the glass lid exploded all over the food and the kitchen. I was told by Le Creuset that they had recalled this batch of faulty lids and after much faff we were sent a new pan and lid. Last week the replacement glass lid exploded, again showering glass all over the food and the kitchen. Le Creuset don't seem vaguely concerned that this has happened again.

The only reason I bought this very e pensive lid was because it was the only one available. I needed one for my wok. I would like to suggest JL have less expensive options available in future. A choice of one is not a choice.

I have the large le Creuset non stick pan with glass lid and it is the best quality pan to clean ever, so it has become my pan of choice most days. So when I saw these spare lids I decided to try this additional replacement lid on my Sophie Conran Portmeirion frying pan and it fits perfectly! No Brexit in our family as France joins with Wales!

Very good frying pan. It is good looking, well made, easy to clean and additional handle makes it easier to pick up. We are pleased we purchased the matching lid as it enables us to cook meat and veg with minimal oil, in their own juices.
