I hope to wear it for many more years.

Initially, pear mixed with white wine. Then, tobacco. 10 minutes later, soft and familiar. A skin scent that is odd and beautiful. Sprayed it on my husband, my twins and myself. It smelled incredible on one of my twins and on the remainder of us it was soapy. I guess you’d need to test as everyone’s skin is different.

I fell in love with Ambrette 9 after ordering a sample from Le Labo - the scent lasted throughout the day and I received several compliments when I wore it. Unfortunately, the first bottle I ordered through the Nordstrom web site had no scent whatsoever and was exchanged for a new one. There definitely seems to be a difference between the sample I ordered from LL and the new bottle I received from Nordstrom since the scent seems to dissipate quickly after spraying it. I am disappointed with the quality of this bottle of perfume given its price point.

I've spent years looking for a perfume that wasn't ridiculously sweet, overly powdery, smelled like a dryer sheet, was insanely overwhelming, was too masculine, or smelled like every other perfume on the market. What can I say? I'm picky. I liked Santal 33, but there was something slightly sickly about it, and I smelled it everywhere. And then I tried Ambrette 9. People are correct that the first spray leaves you with a heavy hit of alcohol, but on me at least the dry down is extremely sexy. My favorite perfume. Very delicate fragrance for every day. Comforting and uplifting. I get a soft touch of pear and apple at the start, followed by the delicate, sweet ambrette musk; a scent which invokes the smell of clean, warm skin.
Love at first sniff. There is something magical about this one for me - as soon as I smelled it I just couldn't understand why I liked it so much, maybe a sense of comfort? It's very delicate on the skin, but also lasts a long time (which surprised me). If you want to throw an olfactory punch at someone across the street this won't be for you, but if you want that hint of something amazing when you're up close and personal, look no further.
This scent is very light . If you like a strong perfume this is not for you. However, I personally like to alternate between this perfume and Rose 31, so for me I like the change.
I ordered my second bottle of Ambrette9. I purchased my first bottle at the store the scent was beautiful and long lasting even though it’s light and not overwhelming. The bottle I received today has nothing to do with the luxury of Le labo brand. It’s literally water with a hint of alcohol. I read the reviews and did not believe one of the reviews that had the same complaint. I would recommend to buy it at the store but make sure you have a spray from the bottle you paid for before leaving. RETURNED.
i love the scent of this perfume it is so light and fresh! i do agree it doesn't stay long but layering with the shower gel and body lotion definitely helps. i also heard that the perfume oil lasts longer but the scent will stay 'closer' to your skin. love it just wish it was as strong as santal 33!
