Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab comes with 15 pieces and 2 beaker creatures. The creatures are in a fizzy bath bomb that you have to drop in the water to find out what the mystery creatures are. This lets kid's experiment with liquid substance and see their reactions. There is a main cup like chamber that is connected via tubinga to two plunger components. You can use the plungers to suck the water out of main chamber or to insert two different liquids into the main chamber. There are two beakers and a stirring stick for the kids to mix things up. Both our five and nine year old like to see how colors mix together by using food coloring. They also used the main chamber to make slime. The toy is intended for kids ages five and up. Learning Resources has got my vote for learning and fun! My 6-year-old Granddaughter loved this science learning set! The set has such an impressive name for a young scientist! It is called the Liquid Reactor Super Lab, which is SUPER FUN! Assembly was easy, instructions were also easy to follow. There are 5 Experiments. 1) Extract your Beaker Creature: create a chemical reaction by dropping a reactor pod to create your creature! 2) Cosmic Colors: Mix food coloring with the reactor pod so it changes colors! 3) Alien Slime Time: Mix together glue, soap, and shaving cream to create your slime! 4) Deep Blue Sea: Mix water, oil, and blue food coloring that separates the 2 layers of liquid. This will create your "blue sea". 5) Beware the Whirlpool: Create a whirlpool to ... MoreLearning Resources has got my vote for learning and fun! We had a GR8 time doing the Cosmic colors and Deep Blue Sea so far. My Granddaughter is so looking forward to doing the rest! 5 STARS ***** for Fun & Gr8 Learning!

My 5 yr old has been begging for this and patiently waiting for it to arrive. The plungers are impossible for him to push and even hard for me as an adult to push. The liquid does not reach the bath bomb when pushing the plungers. There was water leaking out all over the place. The blue bath bomb crumbled to pieces upon opening. This was such a let down.

This lab is a lot of fun for little scientists. After a bit of setup by an adult, they are ready to go! The only thing needed for the main "experiment" is a glass of water. The child then uses the syringe to suck up the water and inject it into the main piece, covering the included monster egg. The egg takes between 5-10 minutes to fully dissolve, and inside is left a little figure toy inside a plastic case. There is also a brochure with pictures of each of the potential monsters and their names. My daughter (age 5) was delighted to see which monster she got. The kit comes with only two monsters, which was kind of a disappointment as she really wanted to do more experiments and collect more figures. The instructions also call for additional experiments that you can ... MoreThis lab is a lot of fun for little scientists. The kit comes with only two monsters, which was kind of a disappointment as she really wanted to do more experiments and collect more figures. The instructions also call for additional experiments that you can do at home. However, both of those require materials that are not included (but easily found at home).Storage inside the box was a bit difficult as the pieces don't break down fully, which means some of it will stick out of the box. The instructions also showed a diagram that was incorrect- it showed a picture depicting pulling the tube away from the base was incorrect, but in our case it was actually the only way to get the water from the syringe into the tube (the tube became blocked following the diagram's instructions).Overall, this was a really fun, educational toy for my preschooler but it really lasts for only one use unless you purchase additional figures as the machine cannot really be used for anything else.
This is a super lab science toy for kids around the ages 5-7+ made by Learning Resources. This kit has 15 pieces which includes 2 Reactor Pods, 1 Base, 2 Hydroplungers, 2 Beakers, 1 set of tongs, 1 stir rod, 2 Classification cards, 2 mini posters with science facts, 1 guide, and 1 full size poster. The set up of the lab is nice and simple. You just need to click some pieces into place. I did that part for my 6 year old. The experiments are so much fun and my son absolutely loved them. The reactor pods have little creatures inside which is really neat. There is a poster that lists all of the creature names. He enjoyed filling the beakers and plunging the water into the pod holder. It was so cool to watch the water flow through the clear tubes into the main tube. The tongs are great to lower the reactor pod into the tube. Great for little hands. It was exciting for my son to watch the fizziness occur. There is a leak tray provided for underneath the base to prevent overflow which I appreciated very much. One of the other experiments with the pods included using food coloring to create more exciting colors to the fizziness. There are couple other experiment directions included such as alien slime. We have already ordered more reactor pods for more experiments. My son would like to collect all or at least most of the creatures. This is a really fun science kit for kids. Would make a great gift as well. I highly recommend.
Learning Resources Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab is not only a learning toy but it is so much fun to do with my 5 year old. He loved doing and seeing the results from these liquid reactors and getting his creatures. This kit has enough things included for at least 4 different projects. I even told him we could keep the parts to do our own projects later on with other liquids. Included with this kit is the Super Lab reactor, 2 Reactor pods with mystery 2 different Creatures, 2 Beakers, 2 mini posters, 2 classification cards, experiment guide, full size poster, stirring stick and grabbing hook. Getting started is easy if you get all the supplies ready before hand and have paper towels or cardboard underneath. My 5 year old was able to do most of the projects himself and he really loved doing them. Seeing his face when things ooze out or go through the plunger, or mixing liquids together was a joy. Then I would ask him the questions after each project and he would answer correctly. He really liked the the oil and water experiment, by adding food coloring to the water and using the baby oil to mix them in the plunger and seeing they would not mix together. So I had to explain to him why and he was amazed. Also using the pods and seeing what creature would appear after all the fizzing. This is a great kit for kids to learn and I highly recommend the Learning Resources Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab, for learning and definitely FUN!
The learning Resources Beaker Super Lab is pretty amazing! As we opened the box, the kids started looking at the prices they could get in the kit.Basically the kit shows them how to add water to these Super bath type bombs. We filled up the beakers with water, sucked it up with the big plungers and then squished the water into the front lab part with the surprise bomb. It started fizzing and the kids stirred it around! Within a few mins it had melted down enough to see the surprise monster! They loved playing with it. I wish it had more then 2 of the bath bomb type things. One problem we had was one of the syringes didn't hold suction so it didn't work as well as it should have. Overall though, the kids thought it was cool and that is what mattered to me!
This Beaker Creatures set comes with two creatures plus the lab equipment needed to produce some “experiments.” The procedure is to take a plastic capsule, remove the contents, and place in the lab device and watch the coating bubble and dissolve, leaving a little, plastic, one, two, or three-eyed character. I suppose most little kids would find that interesting but there is not a lot of room for creativity during that process. After that you can mix some blue coloring with some water and put the creature in the “reactor” again and watch it swirl in the blue water. Although there are some things going on to amuse the eye I’m finding myself wanting to do more. I’m always on the lookout for science toys that will challenge the imaginations of my grandkids but this one ... MoreThis Beaker Creatures set comes with two creatures plus the lab equipment needed to produce some “experiments.” The procedure is to take a plastic capsule, remove the contents, and place in the lab device and watch the coating bubble and dissolve, leaving a little, plastic, one, two, or three-eyed character. Apparently you can buy additional creatures to dissolve from their encapsulation so if you want more of the same it does appear to be available.
Super cool and so much fun science lab kit, my boys are 6 and they really enjoyed doing this! They could do everything themselves so made it so much more fun for them because they love the hands on activities they can do!! They had so much excitement watching the pods fuzz out over, and kept guessing off the provided chart what creature they were gonna get, then pulling it out!! This was such a fun family activity. The kit comes with 2 pods and you are able to purchase more, which we have! If you are worried about mess, they have that covered as they provide a tray to catch that. This is an awesome activity that your kids will enjoy, it brought so much excitement and huge smiles to my son's faces, they really loved it and the surprise/suspense of seeing which creature ... MoreSuper cool and so much fun science lab kit, my boys are 6 and they really enjoyed doing this! They could do everything themselves so made it so much more fun for them because they love the hands on activities they can do!! This is absolutely a great science kit for all ages. My kids love science especially my oldest. I grab this cake because he has been asking for one of these beaker creatures kits for a while. His birthday was this weekend so I grabbed one of the kids so they could enjoy being creative and learning at the same time. The kid is very reasonably priced especially for everything that it comes with and how great quality all the items in the kit are. The kit comes with two syringes two beakers a little stir stick and pliers to pull the bath bombs in and pull the aliens out. I really like this kid because of how well it is made in the quality of the entire kit. It really is a neat little kid they were able to learn they loved watching the bath bombs fizz and all the foam come out it looks like an actual scientist kit. I also really liked that the kit fit inside a box so it was an easy cleanup. The bath bombs foam over a little bit we laid towels and blankets down put it inside a box and let them play. It didn’t make a mess I didn’t get all over the place and they really enjoyed the little of science experiment. It’s nice to be able to purchase toys that your kids can learn from and also enjoy at the same time. I really like that it’s something different than just them being on computer video games watching videos. I will be purchasing more of these kits because the kids absolutely loved them and kept them entertained and they had a great time.
