A good learning toy

It is a good learning toy .The shapes are made of plastic which would better than the others made of wooden or paper. The shapes are in some color which can also learn some color name. It comes with many paper patterns that it is fun and mathematical. But some size of the shapes might little bit small (Choking hazard). And there are not many kinds of shapes, it just comes with many triangles , squares ,circles, or rectangles and some more but not all kinds of the shapes including. But as for the little one who begin to learn shapes, color, patterns, math, it indeed is a good learning toy!

A great gift!

The cards span a multitude of levels so they can be used for quite a while. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shapes. As a former kindergarten teacher, I would suggest this for pre-K through first grade learners.

Awesome product!

I received this from LR to review and we absolutely LOVE it! My preschooler and 2nd grader have really been enjoying it and our kindergarten class is borrowing it. I LOVE how versatile this product is - there are so many different designs, levels and styles that it's simple enough for my preschooler to enjoy and challenging enough to stump my elementary student.

Flimsy Cards, but Great Materials
26 March 2014

Be aware that some of the pieces are VERY small, and the cards aren't thick and can easily be bent. With that said, I think the shapes are great, and the cards are very fun. My preschooler stays occupied for quite some time with this. Perfect for a pre-k setting.

Cool puzzle activity. You could build on the shapes to complete each of the puzzle pages. Kept out grand daughter interested for quite a while and she plays with it often.

My students LOVE this!

One of my favorite things to teach in kindergarten is shapes. There are so many different things you can do with shapes. MyIMG_0404 students love to learn the shapes as well. I was very excited to receive the Shapes Don't Bug Me Geometry Activity Set from Learning Resources for review. My students LOVED this activity set. It was in my small group centers for a couple of weeks. They kept asking for it. There were a lot of things that they liked about it. They loved that they were like puzzles, especially since the mats are the shapes of bugs. The boys especially loved this fact. This way the students can easily see if they have placed the shape correctly.I really loved the variety of activities on the cards. Some of the activities on the cards are placing the shape where it goes, combining shapes to make other shapes, and sorting the shapes by similar and different attributes. These are things tShapes Don't Bug Me Collagehat students are required to learn in the kindergarten core curriculum. I love that these activities applied directly to what my students are learning in class. Most of all, I loved that my students loved to play with them. I loved that the students were having fun but were learning as well! This activity set would be great to have at home. It teaches important shape concepts and the kids will love playing with it! I loved the Shapes Don't Bug Me Geometry Activity Set and highly recommend it!I received this from Learning Resources for my review. All opinions are my own.

Shapes Dont Bug Me from Learning Resources is a cool set of 2-D Shapes you are able to use to make cool bug layouts. My daughter spent hours working on her designs and even came up with some of her own. The pieces are well made and the papers with the layouts are sturdy for long term use. There was a great variety of layouts for my daughter to do. She adored the butterfly and continued to do it in different colors. I think out of all our Learning Resources sets this one is at our top for one of the best. I love the nice box to put it all away in as well and not one of those boxes that break apart and you have to tape up after use. Its affordable as well at only $24.99! We recommend adding it to your holiday toy list as its an effective tool to learn a wide arrange ... MoreShapes Dont Bug Me from Learning Resources is a cool set of 2-D Shapes you are able to use to make cool bug layouts. Teaches So Much!

What makes this set fun is kids have to be creative with the pieces to make the shapes. For example, your child will have to put two shapes together to make one shape. This has been making my daughter think about how shapes fit together to make different shapes. For my older boys I am using this to show them geometry, which they haven't learned yet, and fractions. The set is even aligned with Common Core State Standards! By featuring 2-D shapes and forming new objects, kids are learning geometry in Common Core. The set comes with a ton of shape pieces and 20 cards. The cards are actually numbered, which works its way from easy to hard. I am teaching my kids about the colors, shapes, forming new shapes and problem solving, from this one set!
