The story at Leatherman in Oregon continues: Leatherman impresses with the Arc Premium Tool, a highly functional and easy-to-use pocket-sized tool. ARC is the first multi-tool ever to use MagnaCut steel for its blade. This blade steel ensures a sharp cutting edge with simultaneous corrosion resistance and hardness. Nevertheless, it is easy to resharpen. The DLC coating gives the blade additional protection against corrosion. ARC also has a practical bit holder. Thanks to FREE technology, each tool opens and closes smoothly and can be operated 100% with one hand. With 20 tools, a removable pocket clip, a nylon holster with four pockets and eight double-sided bits, the robust, practical ARC sets a new standard for premium multi-tools. Manufactured in Portland, Oregon, the multitool shows how innovative engineering with 40 years of experience can optimise a multitool even further to make you happy when using the multifunctional knife. From hikers to fishermen, from craftsmen to service providers, from campers to homeworkers - Leatherman has ushered in a new era with the ARC multitool.

Extremely versatile tool!! Slightly bulky, but what multi-tool isnāt, and this Leatherman ARC has more features than any iāve seen!! Everyone that saw it, wanted one, so I got three⦠two to give for Christmas (for those who saw mine, and donāt know theyāll be getting one), and maybe a couple more later for each of our cars. Gotta be prepared with the best tools, and this one is it!!

The Arc is the best pocket carry Leatherman to date. That 'Free' magnet-based multi tool platform is so slick! This has the same weight and dimensions as the Free P4, but tool set is much better and the main blade being made from magnacut steel is a nice upgrade. Comes with a half bit kit too, and a large gray molle sheath to hold the Arc, the sleeve of bits, and a couple items in loops on either side (IMO good for a small flashlight and a ratcheting bit extender). The Surge is the best for heavy duty use, but not good for carry. If you want to carry in your pocket and want the best available, this is it.Great pre-order price from B&H too, and delivered just after Arc was finally released š

The Leatherman Arc is an excellent multi-tool! I own over 15 different multi-tools and consider it one of the best. The use of Free technology for one handed use is a game changer in multi-tool ergonomics.Iāve watched some video reviews by the āChicken Little screaming the sky is fallingā crowd about how the tool has issues and my response is donāt buy into the hysteria theyāre yelling. The Arc does everything I need it to do for every day carry and then some! I highly recommend it!
Loving my ARC so far. It has pretty much the exact toolset that I wanted/need in a multitool. The Free series technology is super smooth and fast. Easy to deploy one-handed, and locks up nice and solid. Mine came nice and sharp with no marks or damage. QC was solid on this one.One minor issue so far is the revelation that Leatherman seems to have had a bad batch of cutters, that appears to have been in-use from a couple years back. Many YouTube videos starting to come out about it. But Iām hoping that gets taken care of soon.Other than that, BHPhoto customer service was great when I chatted with them before ordering, and everything showed up on time with no problems.
Fifteen plus year daily Wave/Charge daily user/carry. I had never bought into the free platform. I felt the were a little awkward deploying blades, the non-bit friendly tool-set, and the knife series definitely chunky (ie T4 should be half the thickness and ugh no plastic). This, the ARC has seemed to fix any shortcomings I had perceived with the platform. The blade + thumb-stud is a necessary improvement the ease of open the knife, pfft non-issue. Decent but not quite Surge level scissors to replace the paltry Wave scissors, big plus. Of course the outside tools. including replaceable bit drivers seal the deal . :-)I would dock half a star if I could for the lack of SAE/Metric rulers, I really do miss that, I didn't realize how often I measured bolt heads/nuts ...Ā MoreFifteen plus year daily Wave/Charge daily user/carry. Leatherman did a great job in upgrading its Free Tech series with this ARC. All of the implements are useful to me and there is zero issue with the implements "flying out" of the handle when closing. The pliers open freely and smoothly and do not bind up when bearing or squeezing down on them hard. Time will tell as to durability but I don't have any real concerns. And a big shout out to SwissKnifeShop for quickly shipping out this ARC to me!!
I used my BassPro points to cover the majority of the cost of getting my new Leatherman ARC. So I consider it to be a gift to myself. Itās nice, but couldnāt justify the cost otherwise. It's not as textured as my Leatherman Free, so it seems harder to hold onto single handed when opening. Especially evident when trying to open the ARC and not drop it from my ladder. It feels like a solid tool and mine included proprietary bit$. I'll keep it around the house and continue using my good old Leatherman Fuse when out in the field. I can't afford to replace the ARC and itās too good to lose.
Exceeded my hopes. This ARX is the most fidget friendly tool I own, so fun and well built. I own a number of other Leathermans and this one is by far my favorite, I skipped the FREE series (P2 and P4) and stuck with my Charge + as my daily driver until this came out, so glad I upgraded to the ARC as I love being able to open everything one handed. The pocket clip on this is fantastic and well thought out, unlike the pocket clip on the charge plus I've been using. Looking forward to many years of use out of this, with the wonderful warranty Leatherman offers, I figure the cost broken down over 25 years or so makes it very reasonably priced for a US made top notch tool.
Dont comain about the price. They'll replace anything that breaks for 25 yeara. Dlc coated scales and blade are tough. CPM- Magnacut - very tough, very sharp, easy to sharped, very corrosion resistant. Will cut through almost anything but stone. If you break it send it to them and theyll send it back with a new one. Worth it.
