Great item, amazing quality. Nothing but great things to say about the seller and the product. Only bad thing I have to complain about is the one thing out of both mine and the sellers controll, the international shipping was atrocious, the package didn't even leave France till after Etsy estimated it would arrive. Shame on the French post office but nothing but praise for EDCmods.

Good for what they are, i.e. readily available when access to "real tools" is not convenient. Don't try to use these for any serious torque applications and you will be pleased with the performance. Also, make sure you are using the right size/type for the job or you will significantly shorten the service life of the bit. Remember that these bits are meant to be disposable and replaced as needed.

Note One: This is part of a series of reviews of all the tools and accessories bequeathed to me by a recently-passed friend.Note Two: For obvious reasons, this one is almost identical to the review of the OTHER 20-bit set.I joked over in my review for the full 42-bit set that there's no reason to get this smaller one because, hey, more tool is better, right? But in all seriousness, some folks don't like paying for more than they absolutely need, or have very specific requirements. In all honesty, if you don't live in Canada you're likely to go your whole life without ever actually using a square/Robinson bit (which is in the other set) but if you ever shop for flatpack furniture you are very likely to need the Hex bits in this one. Which is why of the two smaller sets, this is probably the better use of a $15 gift card or stocking-stuffer request. If anything I wish it made business sense for Leatherman to offer INDIVIDUAL bits for forms other than slotted/Phillips drivers, because with my luck I'll inevitably lose one and I don't want to buy a pile of redundant hex bits just because my clumsy self dropped ONE bit down the gutter!More boringly, these bits are solidly constructed and fit well. Good bits. No complaints.

When I was a kid, I discovered the amazing Swiss Army Knife. Even then I loved multi-purpose gadgets. But very occasionally, I longed for more options. My wife recently bought me this 21-piece bit kit to go with my Skeletool. It seems to be the same quality material that the original two bits came with, and despite being used frequently over the past 5-6 yrs, those two bits are still intact and functional.Other than their cheapest items, Leatherman has always made a great product with tight connections that stay tight through the years. It is made from quality steel, and nothing on it feels cheap. I feel confident that this same tool will be on my hip in 20 yrs, assuming I'm still here.My only complaint with this product is that it does not come with any type of carrying case. It is pretty light and flat and would not likely be too bulky in a pocket. But I don't like things in my pockets. You can buy the Skeletool with this bit set and a carrying case to hold all, but I do not know how to just get the belt case by itself. I found an old carrying case from one of my older multi-tools that I've placed into service for this purpose.
This kit impressed me in a number of ways. First, the cost is almost half of what I found elsewhere. Secondly, it contains most of my most frequently needed bits. Finally, it's a perfect fit alongside my Gordon multi tool when I'm carrying both in a Cordura belt pouch. The seller ships lightning fast, too!
Leatherman. 'Nuff said.Seriously do I need to say more?I'm on my third Leatherman Surge. Why?, because I'm an idiot that abuses his tools. I broke blades on my first 2 through my own brute strength and ignorance, and I sent them in to be repaired.Leatherman's response:-Here have a completely a new one.So when I decided to get a bit kit why would I buy a cheap knock off when I KNOW the genuine article will not let me down unless I decide to be a drop kick
Bought the specifically for EDC because I could get it in a coyote tan finish and it has a belt clip. The hammer is a nice feature as I often find myself in a position where I need to drive a single nail or just wish I had a hammer close by to hang a picture around the house etc as well as driving camp stakes. The whistle is a useless piece of junk that just gets in the way.Unfortunately, the pocket clip does not work nearly as good as the one on the Wave. Also, The ergonomics are horrible on this tool. It really does just feel horrible in your hand.I bought this an attempt to upgrade from my wave after buying a rebar and realizing that it didn't have a pocket clip.I really wish that Leatherman would make more tools with pocket clips. No one wants to strap a pouch to their belt for everyday carry and run around looking like Batman. The only thing the pouches/sheaths are good for is attaching your multi-tool to a backpack.
1) maybe my but kit one is just old but 2 they don’t fall out of the holder2) glad to have sae in add’n to hex immediately needed one3) it is what it is and works as expected with my Skeletool. I’m not sure I understand the rational for the shape of the holders as above maybe they wear out and loosen? Seems like an area where Leatherman can improve them and maybe make them make sense I’ll look again but the rationale for the loop at the top and the potential to lose bits that may come loose seems imorovrable it’s fine but I supos I’ll go 4 stars for ‘better holder for all the bits?. I think but not sure #2 may have a little bit of tackiness that holds them in place but maybe it’s just newer.4) my medium nylon belt holder hold the two bit kids in separate spaces, ... More1) maybe my but kit one is just old but 2 they don’t fall out of the holder2) glad to have sae in add’n to hex immediately needed one3) it is what it is and works as expected with my Skeletool. I maintain a large building with a high flow of visitors. I need to regularly tighten and fix things. This set works very well with my Leatherman Wave, and pretty much always has the size of phillips, flat blade, torx, allen, and square that I need. The bits have proven to be very durable. I just bought sets for all of the other guys in our maintenance crew. This set had proven valuable for bike repairs out on the trail as well. I have been using them for more than 10 years and still have my original set.
