Had them for about a year and I'm really happy with them. Ive had a couple decent crashes they saved my lower legs from injury and took little to no damage other than one buckle that still works but broke the bottom tab. Super comfortable and fit perfectly. Only wish I had bought the waterproof ones 🤦🏻‍♂️

I really want to love this boot. I initially tried these on side by side with my tech 7’s and the comfort was fairly close, with the overall quality and fitment being close enough that I pulled the trigger in good faith. The footbed and pivot of this boot is great, and fairs well if riding offroad/enduro when walking and getting off the bike is common. I was weary of the plastic buckles, and rightfully so. On my 3rd ride the 2nd buckle from the bottom snapped before I even left camp. I made due (and still using them) with 2 zip ties to secure the ankle portion. My other gripe as others have mentioned, is how tore up the inside ball of the foot area got in a short period (shown in the picture). Better than T7s

I have both the 4.5 and 5.5. I also have T7s and have owned SG12s. I ride desert, trail and tech stuff. I don't do much track riding. The SG12s were like bank vaults; heavy, clumsy and zero feel. But in a nuclear blast my feet would be the only thing left. The 5.5 is good blend of protection, comfort, feel and agility. Biggest downside is the lack of ankle flex. Can't point your toe. This makes them clumsy when you are off the bike in steep/rocky terrain. And the buckles don't like to close when dirty/sandy. The 4.5 is the goldilocks. Light, comfortable, agile, protective with good feel. They are superior to the T7s in every way with the possible exception of durability. Cannot go wrong with this solid, comfy boot.

Most comfortable boot I've ever worn. I've run A-star tech 7s and 11s, Fox Comps, and Gaerne G-React and these by far are the best boots I've owned. They break in easily but no issues of rubbing or pinching even on the first ride. the velcro closure at the top having the one way slide function eliminates folding or pinching when you lock in the top buckle. the buckles are solid as any of the other guys, much more so than the Gaerne's which I would not recommend. Great boot, great protection, great comfort and they keep water/mud out very well (for all you guys like me that ride in the mountains). Also, they fit true to size.s

Excellent Boots!

I really like these boots. They hold up well, Are nice and comfortable,and have plenty of protection. The toebox is nice and slim to easily get my foot under the shifter and enough flex out of the box to operate foot controls. My only issue being the foot peg on my YZ250 broke a chunk of the sole off the side of the boot by the ball of my foot from kick starting the old bike. It's not really a big deal though, just cosmetic. They are surprisingly water resistant and dry fast when compared to my previous oneil boots which were basically giant sponges. Im not saying they are water proof, but definitely better than what I am used to. The soles grip fine when walking or picking up your bike on a failed attempt up a steep hill. The boot kind of pokes my ankle around the hinged area of the boot, but they keep me from breaking my ankle too so not sure if its a bad thing.

Good fit, bad buckles.

The good:The fit is good, I wear an 8.5/9 and bought a size nine and they fit well, just a little room to wiggle my toes. The protection is great, my first time wearing them, I lowsided going about 25-30mph in an uphill turn and my right foot got caught under the bike, i was very sore afterwards but my ankle would have absolutely been broken had I not been wearing these. The boots still look new.The bad:The buckles are trash. They feel cheap and are incredibly difficult to close even when off my foot and in my hand. i have to apply a ton of pressure to close the bottom two buckles, to the point i think im going to break them. These are my first pair of MX boots and i would send them back for this issue had i not had to wait so long for shipping. Good quality and great value for price

I read reviews on the boots before buying, and I saw one which got me worried. A guy said that the plastic buckles worried him before he even put them on and then he broke one buckle on his 1st ride. Despite that, I decided the price was too good to pass up so I bought a pair thinking that if they aren't quality then I'm not out a ton of $. Plus I noticed that you can buy metal replacement buckles for the 5.5 boot and they will work on these 4.5 boots. When they arrived and I was putting them on I felt the same concern that the guy had with the plastic buckles. However there's nothing to worry about so far as I've got 5 rides on these with no problems at all. They were broken in after a half hour on the 1st ride. Great boots. Wrong foot shape.

Great boots. Great protection, very sturdy sole. Great color that matches my Leatt pants and jacket and my Bell high visibility helmet. Great self-locking sliding Velcro. The only unfortunate thing is a wrong foot shape that is wide in the toe box but narrow where my foot is the widest (about 1/3 from the toes and 2/3 from the heel). So, I had to return them.The only brand that makes boots that fit the shape of my foot is Alpinestars, even though they are a bit narrow.If you have the shape of the foot that is the widest in the toes area, then these boots will be excellent for you (although some reviews blame the fasteners that break).

Leatt 4.5 riding boots.

I haven’t put them to the test yet but they, by 1st appearance, seem like they are going to be a solid good buy. They feel pretty good just trying them on and moving around a little in them. I will definitely know pretty soon just how good they are when I get in a situation on the side of a mountain. The way they pivot in the ankle area should be nice when up on the foot pegs. Should help with fatigue not hold you stiff as a axe handle. Can rotate on the pegs better. Like I said I ain’t spent enough time to be accurate in my assessment, but 1 single track ride will fix that. I’m more worried about my feet flying out from under me in a hairy situation. 1 good trip and I will be able to answer that more accurately. I’m please so far though. Rad Boots

Very comfortable. Ankle pivot gives good flexibility. No problems with clamps, have not come undone during ride. About 10 hours in broke top strap putting boot on during a brisk morning. Hopefully strap is easy to replace. Fits true to size.
