Although these pants seem to be well-constructed, and the fabric is a good year-round weight, these are NOT the same relaxed fit that Lee used to make! These are slimmer & straighter. I went up one size to allow for shrinkage in the dryer, but I will still have to air-dry these. I do NOT want pants that hug my curves like jeans. These almost do, even though I sized up. My normal size would have been too tight in the hip & thighs. And, yet, I had to take multiple darts around the too-large waist. For reference, I am 5'-7", 135 lbs., & curvy. I ordered the same pants in gray at the same time. They are slightly larger, & the legs were 1" longer. So, in addition to taking up the waist, I had to hem them in order to wear them with flats & low heels. I have worn Lee pants & jeans for 25 years, so I'm aware of the sizing inconsistency, but this is a change in cut & shape. They used to be the only pants that fit perfectly. Now, they are like most other brands - too straight & purposefully slim-fitting. Like so many other women, I need pants that fit curves & also fit like slacks, not jeans. I will be looking elsewhere from here on out. If I hadn't needed these ASAP, I would have returned them. SIDE NOTE: The size 8 Relaxed Fit Lee jeans I purchased just a few months ago fit perfectly - not too snug, no alterations needed, no air-drying required. Go figure.

First off, I was flabbergasted that the 6 pair of pants I purchased were not in any type of packaging inside the box! It had just started to rain, and I am so glad I got home before the downpour or else the box would have been sopping wet and the bottom pair of pants certainly would have been messed up. I have never ordered clothing from anywhere else and received them without the garment being in its own plastic bag for protection!!As for the pants, I was so excited to see that these pants were still made and sold (can't seem to find them in the stores in my size). I have several pair that are a few years old and need to be "retired" now as they are faded and worn. The material is not the same. These are thinner and not as warm and sturdy as my old ones. Of the 6 pair I bought, NONE fit the same (and I bought different colors in the styles I purchased so fit should not have been affected). I am "a woman of a certain age" and not interested in the skinny leg pants that most wear now, so these fit my needs perfectly for work. But they have changed so much...I am returning 4 out of the 6. Very disappointed.

I purchased two pairs of black slacks. I usually wear Lee Flex Motion pants, however they seem to be discontinued. I tried these hoping that they would work for me. The black looked faded even before wearing. They do not run true to size. I had to go up a size. The Motion Flex ran true to size. Please bring those back because these are a no go.

I've been wearing Lee's relaxed fit in pants and jeans for years. I mistakenly bought these thinking they would fit like the wrinkle free relaxed pant but they have a narrower leg and the design of the back pockets is terrible. They gape open rather than lying flat like the wrinkle free. I am throwing away the two pair I purchased.
I love these pants. I have 10 pair in a variety of colors (wow.. I didn't realize that.. Obviously I really like these pants!). Very professional and stylish, just add the right top, shoes, accessories and boom! You'll be ready for work, church, a date, or even a funeral. I always get compliments. I do wish they would offer a few colors more suitable for spring/ summer. For reference: I'm 5'4, 158. I bought a size 8 Short. You'll be pleased with your purchase.
All the major manufacturers are ignoring their TALL female customers. Jeans and pants manufactured a few years ago fit perfectly. Current designers ignore the need for a longer rise in pants and jeans for Tall individuals. I had hoped that the Lee jeans would fit my tall frame. Unfortunately, the designers skimped on the length of the rise, and the jeans were riding on my hips and exposing 4 inches of my back. I returned them.
I had Lee's Sinfully Soft which were a dream to wear. Unfortunately, I wore through the knees. The relaxed fit pants fit well also, as long as one is standing or sitting. I wear them to work, and I shelve books at a library. That means that I do a lot of bending and kneeling, which pulls down the pants in the back, which means that I am pulling the pants up when I stand up.I have read in the responses to comments that there is not a big market for pants that go up to the waist. Maybe that is so because people like me who would buy them have gone elsewhere. I will not buy mid-rise pants again.
I'm very happy with the style and quality of the pant. But very unhappy with how they stretch out. I tried them on prior to keeping them and they were snug and fit, but after 2 hours of wearing they are too big. I am not happy that I cannot exchange them once worn. I recommend you order a smaller size. Also, these are a winter weight material, a brushed denim feel. They are not good year round.
These pants are not made of cotton and fit nothing like the cotton version I have bought for a long time. They are way too long. I have to get them hemmed even though I bought SP version. I don't need to do that with the cotton ones. The waist does not fit an hourglass figure the way the cotton ones do. These must have a belt or they will slide down. I hate these pants. The pockets are so lumpy in back I can't wear a tunic or long sweater. Make more cotton colored versions that stay up.
I have been buying these pants for years and never get the same fit. I have always bought a size 6, medium length. Sometimes they are too long, sometimes the waist is too tightbut most often the hip area is too wide. I never return them, I just donate them. I wish that the sizing was consistent. I once bought a pair that fit great and immediately ordered 2 more in other colors only to receive 2 that fit totally different. I try to buy them at stores but have a hard time finding my size in my length...usually 6 length is short. Name keeps changing but fit is always hit or miss. The ones I just purchased have a wider leg than previous ones. I also wish they would do away with the stretch fabric.
