I bought this Lego box for my granddaughter to play with at our house. I think Lego is a great toy for developing dexterity and imagination. Lego can be relied on to be of a high standard. These bricks are small compared to the Duplo bricks younger children play with and it takes a bit of perseverance to learn how to build with them. There are different coloured bricks and also wheels to make vehicles. There is a great little booklet with building suggestions and how to achieve them. The box is great for storage and is big enough for these bricks and more. There is a great sense achievement when something is built. I thorourhly recommend this Lego set and think it's pretty good value for money.

A very good value box of Lego. A good selection of models to build as well as additional blocks to support creativity. Both grandchildren love playing with it. A handy storage box too.

Purchased this box as a gift for a young relative to help encourage more creative play with Lego and less following of the instructions supplied by Lego with all boxes. It’s a huge pity that Lego does not have boxes which contain only basic bricks in a greater variety of sizes to encourage more open ended play. I researched extensively to try to find a box with fewer highly specialised parts and decided on this box.
A good amount of legos of varying types, including a few technic pieces. It's a good starter set, and even better, it comes with a cute, sturdy tub to keep the legos in, with room for more legos. The included manuals give you some good building ideas and techniques. All in all, a great starter set for anyone new to legos, or returning to legos after a long absence.
This set give a a great variety of pieces and instructions to make a number of models. Of course you can also build whatever you like. For the quantity, it seems good value for money and comes in a good storage box.
Keeps my newly 7 year old entertained for hours. Hours of quiet, only interrupted to show me the occasional thing me built out of the huge instruction booklet. Highly recommend for any parent of a mechanically minded child
I like this set because it has so many pieces which can keep my soon busy for longer periods which will aid his concentration, because he loves building. He is a big fan of colours and these LEGO bricks have bright and interesting colours.
I bought this Lego box around a month ago for my son, who wants to be a civil engineer! I wanted him not to spend time on devices and do something useful. He loves his present and we enjoy making things together. We often race to see who finishes first. My elder son, who also wants to be an engineer, has joined us as well. Now they both are arguing about who is going to be the best engineer! I am very happy with the present.The only negative for me, is that the Lego website has only two additional building instruction for this particular box.
I knew the box would be big for the amount of bricks inside and I am happy with that as it means more storage for my other Lego.... BUT what I am not happy about is that the contents of this set are not as stated in the item description (hence the very low rating)I chose this set as it was supposed to contain two baseplates - 16x16 cm and 12x6 cm. On opening I found that in fact they are 16x16 studs and 12x6 studs so nowhere near the sizes advertised.
