This is probably my favorite LEGO set that I have built. I think I like it better than the original painting. The frame, and 3D aspects are wonderful, and I like that I have the choice to hang it on a wall. On the other hand, this was probably the most difficult build that I have experienced. Using the printed building instructions, it was VERY difficult to distinguish the various color shades.

Awesome

This is the 4th GOB led set that we have installed. Kit is very bright and somewhat easy to put in place. Routed the easel different that what was in the pdf.Over all not too bad, could use a few more LEDs for the other stars.I used a power bank instead of the battery box. 2way taped a switch to the side and built a box for the bank on the back.I recommend GOB led kits and the customer service is incredible

Beautiful and many different light effects

I bought the remote version and you can set each series of lights (4 in total) with different light effects at the same time, with different effect speeds as well. You can make the clouds have a "lightning" effect, the house lights can flicker, and the stars go slowly on and off.The lego blocks to have lights for Vincent's little painting is a very nice touch as well.This light and wiring structure was thought out very well, so definitely a must have if you are gonna get the Lego Van Gogh set.5 stars no doubt!

Beautiful enhancement to an extraordinary set

I was excited to see the new Lego Starry Night set as this work is my wife's favorite and her birthday is right around the corner. The set alone is amazing, but when I added the Lightailing kit - Boom! The set literally came to life. The installation is super easy and I actually put the lights in as I did the build so that I could better hide the wiring. The twinkle function of the stars and the subtle lights in the village draw you in and help put you in the place of the artist as he surveyed the sky and painted his interpretation. Great value, easy to install, and a brilliantly beautiful final product.

Everything about this was as perfect as it could be! After reading some reviews I was worried but all the pieces, plus some extras, were there. The diagram was easy enough to follow. It was difficult enough and interesting enough based on the cost. It met my extremely high expectations and surpassed them in many ways! I just love how the artists layered the blocks to get such awesome designs!

Excellent Case, Shambolic Instructions

The case looks amazing, really helps protect and brings out the set with some extra pizzazz so it gets 5/5 for that.As I.k. mentioned - Instructions are shambolic and may as well not be included. They are extremely generic and really don't help at all - it shouldn't be difficult to make specific instructions for each individual case. They deserve a 0/5.

Great for art fans.

I bought this for my wife who is a big Van Gogh fan and an overworked teacher in need of some relaxation. She hadn’t been too interested in Lego before now, but really enjoyed her first full solo build and, yes, it helped her relax. Her previous experience was helping the kids with their builds when they were small. There was a tiny bit of frustration with the backdrop “all the blue!”, but overall she had a great time putting it all together. The 3D element that the Lego brings is a particular highlight and the little Vincent is a very nice touch. The piece now has pride of place in our lounge. The set has been recommended to a few friends who also like art. When asked my wife instantly gave the set 5 stars. High praise indeed.

Inspired by Art

The Starry Night is my first Lego set. It was love at first sight! I'm fascinated by the 3D representation of Vincent van Gogh’s masterpiece. The online ordering was easy, delivery was fast and my Lego was well packaged without any damage to the box when it arrived. I enjoyed the building experience. The finishing product is visually pleasing. I look forward to building my Lego gallery at home.

Starry Night LEGO set was a big hit with the recipient!

It was a gift for my sister-in-law. She is an artist and was a school art teacher until her recent retirement. Starry Night is her all-time favorite painting. When we took her to MOMA to see it a few years ago, she was literally in tears to see it in person. She was absolutely delighted with the LEGO set, which she will make a family project with her (adult) kids and her grandson. Thanks so much for this wonderful set.

Worth every penny

Bought this as a gift to enhance an already really nice set. Delivery time was as stated, instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I was a bit worried about using the fine wiring and lighting stickers, but it all went to plan and the outcome is truly fantastic, especially with the remote control option. Seriously considering what sets I think could do with lights added to them.
