Our 7 year old neighbor boy that stole our hearts, and we keep him in our prayers. Wyatt has a blood disorder which has sent him to the hospital 26 times for blood transfusions. Wyatt loves building train tracks, tearing them down, and rebuilding them again and again! He built your plane and airport in two half days, maybe less. This sense of accomplishment makes him feel so proud of himself. The cost was a little high, but this toy made him very happy.

This is a good set if you want an airport. The set includes a big plain and a terminal. The terminal has a control tower, check-in, luggage handler, fuel tank, ...I expanded my terminal and built it on a 32x32 baseplate and used the 2 grey 16x16 plates for the roof. The backside is not completely closed. Otherwise is the luggage belt is not accessible with my hand.I added 2 extra seats in the plane. Normally you have 6 seats in the plane, but I raised it to 8. I wanted more than 8 but that is almost not possible. The plane is brought with a big brick which includes the middle of the plane and the 2 wings and that one limits the possibilities.The toilet in the plane is still on the backside.

I was a little disappointed with the overall size scale of the set. Compared to the terminal, the plane is ginormous and doesn't not fit well in my city. I was also disappointed that a plan so large, 18" long only came with 2 passengers and 1 pilot??? Overall it was an easy build. The price was to be expected based on the piece count and the special molded pieces for the plane. I definitely would make sure you have at least 4 base plates of room if you plan on having the plane on the ground. Also, the fuel trailer could have used Octan stickers!

But probably the most shocking was the airport side of things, it was way bigger then the box made it look, it had a seating section, register area, scanning door, conveyor belt, as well as a radio tower. There's easily room for a sixth chair in the plane, which I think should have been included, and the space within the plane could've been arranged better to fully optimise the area.The airport terminal has a very nice modern look, and includes the revolving door, tower, waiting area, security scanner and check in desk with luggage conveyor. Although this sounds like a lot of features, the inside of the terminal is, again, very bare and the space could've been used better. There are only 4 seats in the waiting area, and a lot of the space is taken up by the revolving door. The operational conveyor belt for the luggage is a nice touch, though, and there is a fair bit of playability within.The service car is a nice addition to this set and gives it more playability. All the trailers (fuel, stairs and luggage) connect together and attach to the service car, which has a really cool "follow me" sign on the back. This is a really nice addition to the set.Overall, I really like this set because of how it looks and because there's plenty of opportunity for play, but I think a lot more thought could've gone into maximising the space within the plane and the airport. Some more minifigures would have been good, such as a member of the cabin crew, a check-in clerk and a security officer. The value for money is okay with this set, as you do get a lot of big pieces, but the bare interiors are a little disappointing for the price you pay.
I received this set as a present for Christmas and is a good set. But lego could of given us something better. The old airports had a closed airport and and had separate areas(ticketing, baggage claim, VIP lounge seating area, security, SEPARATE control tower). In this set there is a sitting area, a desk for ticketing and baggage claim, security(just a metal detector), and a control tower on the roof. The plane has the annoying 2 humps that are VERY awkward to get over and no separate cabins like the old red plane. At this point I will probably buy the old retired airport set off of amazon. I would have been willing to pay an extra $50 for a better set.
This set is ok, but the airport in previous sets were much more detailed with many more pieces. If Lego is increasing their mark-up, then charge $150 for the airport or more. Dont lower the quality! It doesn't even look very entertaining. Put the gate in there along with a bigger and better terminal. I personally, would spend what ever it takes to get another airport set, but I am not going to buy this. Bring back the detailed airport!

This set has essentially all that's needed for airplane-related play: the plane, an airport terminal, and a service vehicle. And each part of the set is quite detailed. The plane feature a galley and a toilet; the service vehicle has stairs, a baggage trailer, etc; and the terminal has revolving doors, security check, and a baggage conveyor belt.The building process is also well planned out and documented. The child is eased into building by starting out with the service vehicle, then comes the plane, and last the terminal, which can be challenging.
