I got 2 different Lego sets for my son this Christmas. Usually no problems. For some reason they were both missing several pieces to the vehicles. Very annoying considering the small size of the sets. But what can I do considering my son put them together with pieces from other sets we already had. Still annoying to me. I paid for them. But the characters are good.

I'd say this is more of a parent project if you want to build it the exact way the picture instructions show in the book that comes with this Lego set. The pieces are a lot smaller than what's shown on the box. I recommend this for an older child, not for elementary school age children.

I was in Toys R Us in Canada looking for some clearance items and on a whim picked one of these new sets. I love the starter sets. This one is geat in every way. Cool pcs, I like the frozen dragon fly pc. The dog is awesome. Really cool Mini Figures with nice printing and interesting accessories like snow shoes and hats/helmets. The snow mobile and trailer look really great as a LEGO vehicle and something I knew about with this theme that is much more striking in person is the colour scheme. It's so nice. The Orange and Blue look really good together. Over all, this little set exceeded my expectations in every way and makes me want more Arctic sets.I'll definitely pick up at least one more of the larger sets in the City Arctic theme in the future. Easy Way to Get Arctic Minifigs!
24 May 2021

I was originally interested in this starter set because of the husky and the minifigures, but once I got it I realized that the speeder and ice block were neat too. The speeder moves around easily and the insect frozen in ice goes well with the other preserved animals featured in the theme. This set has a fair amount of accessories, and the minifigures' winter hats would work well in any winter scene. This is also one of the smallest sets to get a husky in, and not terribly expensive.

Great Set For Little Master Builders
14 August 2019

This is a great, easy to build Lego Set. My sons love playing with it. Especially when teamed up with the glider. The three figures it comes with are enough to keep little ones entertained for hours without the snowmobile. I love that this set combines with the other artic sets. My LEGO CITY is expanding and i love the way the Exploration sets sets capture my sons imagination Check out my YouTube channel Bricks 4 Therapy to watch a speed build

This is a great set cause you get 3 Minifigures and a dog + a little snowmobile & Trailer. Also has great playability. Considering if you go to buy a minifigure blind bag it will cost you $5 - $6 and this set cost me under $10.

More of these please!

This set ticks all the boxes for me. It's a starter set similar to 60163 and 60157. Each of these sets comes with one animal, three minifigs, one vehicle and some scenery or structure.First of all it is great value for money compared to most any other set. A single collectible minifigure bag is almost half the price of this set. Sets that do have more pieces also cost significantly more.Second, the fact that you get three minifigs and one animal makes this set just perfect. If you already have a large Arctic set, you probably won't be looking for yet another car or helicopter. Instead, you'll want more minifigs to add to your world. The dog and scientists are all beautiful figures. I love the fact that all figures are different as well.Even though this set is ... MoreThis set ticks all the boxes for me. I love the fact that all figures are different as well.Even though this set is great as an addition to a larger Arctic set, you also get enough stuff to play with this set on it's own. There's a small snowmobile and some sort of ice pillar with a pre-historic fossil inside. Kids will have hours of fun playing with this small set.I would like to see more of these starter sets. It allows you to get a taste of a theme without having to spend too much money.

My grandson is 9 years old and a lego enthusiast! He is very good with his legos. Enjoys putting them together himself and then sets them in his room for display. No worries about them be roughed up...lol

New Arctic Theme Starter Set.
7 June 2018

The new Arctic sets are outstanding and a must have. The Arctic Exploration set (60191) comes with 3 figures and a husky dog. There are 70 parts in the set, it is a straight forward and easy set to put together. There are new prints and parts in this set and a great starter set for the new Arctic theme.Positive; 3 great new prints for mini figure and dog. there are no stickers. Great price point at under $10.00.Negative; The only issue that I could find was the rear "track" for the snow machine is a Technic pcs and not a track. They are smaller then the front ski's so it looks even smaller. I would recommend using a larger Technic parts or even with small track. So over all this is a fun and great set for all ages it has great parts for replay ability. Yay! Doggies!

I feel like there is a lot of thought that goes into the starter sets I've seen lately, much more so than even the big ticket sets. I had this in my hand at the store and set it down for five minutes, only to discover that a kid other than mine had picked it up and was looking at it. Thinking that it was the last one, I was a bit freaked out by it, but even after he put it back down, I couldn't bring myself to take it from under his nose unless I found another one. Luckily, I did and we both went away happy with new lego sets. This set has more building pieces than I expected in the ice mound, and I was very pleased with the resulting build, as well as the play time that my kid and I shared together. He also loves playing with that dog (which was the big draw from the set in the first place) but also loves playing with the snowmobile a lot more than I expected since he's much more into wheeled vehicles than sliding ones. He still plays with it, and it was surprising when he kept playing with it along side the wheeled vehicles as well day after day.Good job, Lego.
