I wish I still had a picture of when my son built this, but I don't. He has always played with lego since he was a toddler. They may be expensive, but it's joy to the kids and I'll do anything to make him happy. One thing I don't miss is stepping on Legos in the middle of the night, lol! I even enjoy building with block and Legos. It helps relieve some stress and takes stuff off of your mind. You don't have to be a scientist to build something. I love to watch my son build things with his imagination. Him and my niece love building things together. Legos will always be a favorite childhood toy in my book.

Lego is always wonderful. Building with LEGO bricks promotes spatial thinking and an awareness of proportions and patterns. When a child builds, his mind uses reasoning about which pieces will work best, how they should be arranged, and how big or small the creation should be. Physics and engineering skills are also sneakily being developed. I would recommend this to a friend! I have been wanting a UCS AT-AT ever since I bought the UCS AT-ST a little while ago. And LEGO certainly did not disappoint me. This set is definitely one of the coolest sets I’ve ever built. The details are amazing both interior and exterior. The posable legs with the brick built screwdriver were definitely an amazing addition to this set. There is a fair amount of repetition in this set. Mainly for the legs. The biggest flaw in this set is that it is not as sturdy as I expected. Even lightly touching it will cause it to jiggle a little bit. But, overall, this is definitely a set worth getting for any Star Wars fan. PS. I’m super excited for the AT-ST that is made to scale with this set. It comes out on January 1st.

1351 pieces of pure unadulterated LEGO awesomeness.

This is my review for:LEGO Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Millennium FalconThis one hits close to the heart. In my house, the whole family, we love LEGOs and I absolutely love StarWars. While most LEGO sets in recent memory are moving towards a roleplaying centric approach, this set finds the perfect balance between building and playing. It is an amazing set that encourages playing but also using your imagination and building. This one is not as breathtaking as the 1000$ collectible one but for a fraction of the cost, you get to put together a work of art.Visually, the outside of the finished ship is very detailed; there are different grays, some red, gold and blue giving it a splash of color throughout. There are stickers to simulate some detail, but most of the detail comes from actual parts. It has a round radar dish that is mounted on a ball joint, tied to other junctures for a lot of freedom of motion. It has two turrets, one on the top and one on the bottom, which are also mounted on ball joints for 360 degrees rotation and junctures for the angles. There is so much detail that it is mesmerizing; it has a turret control room, your main control panel, it has a smuggler bay, sleeping area, storage, kitchen, and etc… round that off with spring loaded shooters and a loading ramp to complete the illusion.I have no complaints about the building element of this model and very little complaints about the model itself. My main complaint about the model was the loading ramp as the clearance of the ship and the size of the opening are not enough for the figurines to fit. That being said, what I love about LEGOs is the building, and with 1351 pieces, you will have a whole bunch of LEGO awesomeness.

Another amazing LEGO Star Wars set!

My 6-year-old is a little young for the target age range of 9+ for this set, but we built it together over 5 sessions of about an hour each. It's a fun build and the finished product is pretty awesome. I've looked into some of the other Millennium Falcon sets and they all have pros and cons, but this one is one of the best (except the crazy 7500 piece Ultimate Collector's Series, which is obviously on another level). My 6-year-old isn't into Star Wars so doesn't (yet) appreciate what the Millennium Falcon is, but he enjoys playing with it anyway because it's such a big and unique set. We'll probably dismantle it after a week or two and use the pieces to build other things. With over 1300 pieces there's a lot of flexibility to do other stuff. The interior area is not super detailed but the secret smuggling compartment is cool. There are spring-loaded shooters at the front which are fun. In general I wish there were less reliance on stickers and more printed blocks included, but it seems like all LEGO sets are moving towards having more stickers. It's kind of strange having a Millennium Falcon without Han Solo, and honestly I don't really care to have a post-Force Awakens Falcon, but the good news is that the ship hasn't changed so you can just add Han Solo from another set (or buy him solo) and pretend this is from the Original Trilogy. When the build is finished, the ship is strong and sturdy so you can definitely play with it and not worry about it falling apart. It's not just a display piece, although it does look great and would make for a nice display if you have the space. This is not a cheap set, but it's a special one and would be an amazing gift for any Star Wars fan who likes LEGO.

Big hit

Bought as a gift for grandson. Over 1000 pieces and he enjoyed it tremendously. He called me showing me on FaceTime the various stages he was at during building process. When completed he showed me all the moving parts and started hinting at his next gift occasion an even bigger set. A little on the expensive side so it’s for big occasions that I get one. It does last forever. Some pieces of course are extra small so be careful not to lose them. I have and will continue to purchase the Star Wars sets. To complete the series may be never ending as there are so many choices. I’m happy with this purchase and more importantly my grandson is too. It’s a wholesome gift that gets them using their mind for things other than phones and video games. Now he looks forward to ... MoreBought as a gift for grandson. It's the Millennium Falcon, what's not to love?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I unwrapped this for my 13th birthday. I mean, come on! The Millennium Falcon! I was going to wait until the next day to build it, but I couldn't resist, so I built half on my birthday and finished it the next day. It was a very enjoyable build, and it has so many features! But first, the minifigures. Lando Calrissian (sequel version) and Boolio are currently exclusive to this set, and are both great. C3PO, R2-D2, and D-O, the droids that come with the set, are all great. Classic Chewbacca and a rare Episode 9 Finn are both also great. I actually don't know who Boolio is, so I will have to re-watch Rise of Skywalker to find that out, but in a nutshell, all of the minifigures are great! It can shoot, the whole top can open, it has an opening door, a spinning chair, a holochess table, built-in storage, a hospital-like room, a hatch to put minifigures to pilot the turrets, room for two minifigures (plus D-O) to pilot the ship, and a LOT of detail! There are stickers, but the ones in this set weren't to bad. My only complaint is that when it's on the ground and the door is open, you can't really get minifigures through the door, just a minor playability issue. Overall, it's an amazing set, and if you do not already have the Millennium Falcon, I would 100% recommend! P.S. I know I am only 13 and I have the age set to 14-18, but that's the youngest option there is, so there's nothing I can do about that.

As a Star Wars fan and someone who enjoyed helping my Harry Potter obsessed wife build her Lego sets - I finally decided to spoil myself and get this. It’s a really fun build, surprisingly detailed and took a while to finish. On the inside you get a kitchen, sick bay, recreation area, a main area and, of course, the cockpit; which is able to fit two figures into it. I loved everything about the inside of the ship. The exterior looks fantastic and detailed. You get guns on the top and bottom and four legs on the bottom to make it stand properly for display. But the fact the flaps never truly close and only click in on one side is a minor point off of it. They also never seem to really to sit right when they are closed so it can look a bit messy if you’re looking at ... MoreAs a Star Wars fan and someone who enjoyed helping my Harry Potter obsessed wife build her Lego sets - I finally decided to spoil myself and get this. It’s a really fun build, surprisingly detailed and took a while to finish. I’m fine with everyone but Boolio. I get they’re going for the accuracy of the movie they’re specifically basing it on and all - but he’s such a minor character. A Han Solo figure would have been better. It’s Lando’s ship originally, but in an iconic sense we know it as Solo’s ship. It’s just a strange decision when in other builds (like the Death Star) they have no problem blending different movies into the same set (trash compactor and final duel for example). With that aside, I’d recommend this to any Star Wars fan who may find the bigger one too expensive. It’s a very reasonable price for what you’re getting and it will look great no matter where you display it.

Star Wars Legos Are Always Cool

First, we have to confess that we have dozens of Star Wars Legos. Obviously, we are huge fans. Thus far, Star Wars Legos come in two versions: Good and better. Two spring-loaded shooters provide a nice touch, though as is typical with modern toys, the springs are kind of wimpy. Top panels also open to provide access to the highly detailed interior, making this Falcon great for a bit of play. There are multiple characters, including at least Finn (our first Finn!), Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, C-3PO, and Boolio. Because this version of the Millennium Falcon is from "The Rise of Skywalker," it is slightly different from our previous versions, which are mostly based on the original trilogy. As we noted above, the interior is accessible through panels on the top of the ship. Inside are seats, tables, a smuggling compartment, and other detailed features. Three guns are included for the mini-figs, which are great to have in a ground battle. Our assessment of value for Star Wars Legos is average. Of course, generally all Legos are roughly average value since the comparisons are with other Legos kits. Our overall rating is five stars. We love the larger Lego kits, and this kit does not disappoint. Indeed, if there is any issue with this kit, it is that the kit seems to have limited availability for reasons we do not currently understand. Even so, every time a new Millennium Falcon comes out, we seem to buy it!Enjoy!

Honestly, I would start by saying to take any low review with a grain of salt. This build is great and solid, the only weak point is the front under the space bar, don't pull it by that. I also would have liked a full base so you didn't see the table or surface under the keyboard, but those are minor and do not take away from the 5 stars at all. If you miss one of the steps or don't fully follow directions you can mess up something big time causing to have to back track far to fix it, but my advice on that, pay close attention to all steps. The typewriter does "work", the paper feed is tricky, mess with the angle of the mechanism behind the paper to make it work, the letter from the owner of the LEGO group is neat, maybe overkill to have 43 of them, but may have ... MoreHonestly, I would start by saying to take any low review with a grain of salt. As you type the paper moves as does a striker and once at the end you can push it back with a satisfying clicking mechanism. Would have been perfect if they found a way to add a bell noise, but not sure how they would have accomplished that. The ribbon looks neat too. This set is going on my bookshelf and it goes great with the statue of liberty and bansai tree that I already have there. Love these sets that are easy to add to non-LEGO decore!
