Okay, so starting off by being blunt- this is an absolute banger of a set. I have been waiting eagerly for this to drop ever since it was first announced/revealed back in February. There are so many pros with very little cons for it. The building process was great with little repetition. The mini figures are great, though some minor complaints would be Mando not being in his Beskar armor, Greef Karga not having leg printing, and the print on the child being a bit small and odd looking, but those aside- the figures are still great nonetheless. The scout trooper is handsome and does not use the angry stormtrooper face which is an absolute plus. The scout trooper is handsome and does not use the angry stormtrooper face which is an absolute plus. The only gripe with that would probably be the fact that its just the scout trooper and nothing for him to do- maybe the addition of a second one or a speeder bike for him or IG-11 would have been a good addition- but hey that ain't the main focus here and we all know that. Now time for the bread and butter of this review, before this review really begins, a quick message from our sponsor, RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS. RAID: Shadow Legends™️ is an immersive online experience with everything you'd expect from a brand new RPG title. It's got an amazing storyline, awesome 3D graphics, giant boss fights, PVP battles, and hundreds of never before seen champions to collect and customize. I never expected to get this level of performance out of a mobile game. Look how crazy the level of detail is on these champions! RAID: Shadow Legends™️ is getting big real fast, so you should definitely get in early. Starting now will give you a huge head start. There's also an upcoming Special Launch Tournament with crazy prizes! And not to mention, this game is absolutely free! So go ahead and check out RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS. Using the special code "Neanderthal" you can get 50,000 Silver immediately, and a FREE Epic Level Champion as part of the new players program, courtesy of course of the RAID: Shadow Legends™️ devs."Okay now that that is out of the way, this is such a wonderful set and there could be 420 different complaints about 69 different things, but I would still highly recommend this set to anybody. I re-watched the mandalorian within the last week to get hyped for season 2 as well as for the drop of this beauty and it did not disappoint. The thing is MASSIVE. Like, this thing could take a spill off a counter and probably take very little damage. The detail and the minimal usage of stickers are wonderful, the added pieces of the sand colored bricks compliment the stickers quite well, the printed cockpit piece looks really good and I AM SO GLAD that it was not a sticker. No flick fire missiles makes me a happy lad and how hidden the spring loaded shooters are was really well done. Okay, enough gushing on this set, the main con I have with it is the "lazy" route of using panels for the main shaping of the ship. I would have much more have liked to have seen a brick built bay area instead of the big triangle pieces. The engines could have been a smidge bigger but given the pieces they are working with and already have; I understand why they chose the design they went with. So, all in all, my final score for this set would be a 9.8/10. Or in other words- Very good.

Now THIS is how you make a transport vehicle in LEGO. Star Wars sets frequently suffer from a lack of usable interior space when it comes to its various ships and vehicles. The Razor Crest is beyond the exception to that, to the point where I'd say it should be the new gold standard for LEGO Star Wars ship design as far as interior space goes.It has ample room for all included minifigures plus more, usable cargo space for play and carbonite bounties, with excellent utility in the form of a spacious cockpit, multiple weapon storage options, and even sleeping quarters. For this price tag, that's pretty much unheard of. It's interior is easy to access and comes in a shockingly strong frame that makes it well-suited for play and swooshability. Easily one of my new favourite LEGO Star Wars products out there, at least in this price range, and something I am very happy to own. This Is The Way.

Great ship! Not only looks good but has some really good playability features. Very impressed with the accuracy both inside and outside.Cockpit is a little cramped but still fully functional for 2 mini figures and Baby Yoda in a lap or off to side.Sleeping quarters is a nice touch. Whole thing opens up for full access, although can be a little tricky for minifig maneuvering at times. I removed the silly red missile pieces in the weapons bay and replaced with blasters and a dark saber to give it a mini armory feel. Also the cockpit has two weapon storage clips that hold Mando's rifle and a dark saber sized weapon as well.Figure selection is good. IG11 is made from the same super flimsy pieces the older battle droids were. Not a huge deal but its hard to put inside the ship or pose in general as it collapses with the slightest touch. Glad its included though, as it was one of the absolute stars of the show!Baby Yoda is awesome and while Mando has his old armor, that's fine as any fan would want that at some point anyway. As of now the only way to get the new armor (with arm printing!!!!) is to buy "trouble on tat" set, however that one doesn't come with his jetpack, so you'll have to get a third set at some point I'm sure LOL! Hey who doesn't have a ton of Lukes, Bens, R2's, etc by now right? Greef Karga is a good compliment figure for either ally or adversary play (watch the show!)I would have strongly preferred something besides the Scout Trooper though. There's no speeder bike anyway, and the set would have more value and playability if instead they gave you Cara Dune or Kuill, the "Frog Lady" or even that blue Mythrol guy instead. Lego's set philsophy of giving you one "opposite" character in most sets instead of another more relevant one is just silly. But hey, a stackable trooper will come in handy eventually I guess. Lego are the masters of making you buy a whole nother set just for one figure you really want haha! Well played Lego marketing team! The Razor Crest itself is fairly well built, but not as "swooshable" as it could be. While you can grab it by the very back of the tail and its strong enough to handle it, its actually pretty heavy so the only real way to really swoosh it is to grab by either the engines or underneath. You still have to be somewhat careful or pieces will fall off (but are easily replaceable if they do). The landing gear is fixed so if you want to pose it in flight mode you'd have to pull them off. Not a huge deal but would have preferred retractable gear but that and a few other things that would make a great set a little better would have added to the price point. It also comes with an integrated "escape pod" which (spoiler alert!!!) was never used in the show. That's OK cause you don't have to use it and it blends in seamlessly to the overall look. Its useful as a second bunk or figure storage though and is actually a nice escape pod. Would have liked a couple of ladder pieces for cargo to cockpit access but that's a small detail that most wouldn't notice or value anyway.Over all this is a very good set. If you're a Mandalorian fan its a must get for either play or display.

I'll start with the bottom line: I would recommend this kit to people who have extra money lying around and are Mandalorian fans, otherwise I would not recommend it.In our case, we simply HAD to get this kit because we happen to be huge Mandalorian fans. Our twins had no trouble building this without adult help on their 7th birthday, I think the "10+" age guide is pretty conservative. The ship stays together reasonably well with careful play and is pretty straightforward to put parts back on where they tend to fall off (especially because it's symmetric side to side). I just can't see the justification for charging $130 for a bunch of machine-molded plastic bits and an instruction booklet. Literally HALF of that price would seem about right. One may point out that we ended up paying every penny, and I absolutely don't regret having bought it, but I give full credit for that to Star Wars/ Lucasfilm, not to LEGO. They may have made this sale, but after having assessed value for money (profit margin per set must be crazy) I've decided to stop buying the larger/more expensive LEGO sets, so the over-pricing scheme lost them the potential for a lot of future LEGO kit sales to us.We were also disappointed to see no Kuiil figure. Would have been great to be able to say, "I have spoken," over and over while using this!
The last Lego set I bought before this one was more than five years ago. I had thought I'd grown out of it, but after I saw what Lego had rolled out in the past six months, my interest was piqued again. I eagerly awaited this set, being a big fan of the show, and I am very glad I bought it. It was larger than I thought it would be, based on pictures, and that went a long way to justify the hefty price tag for me, which I worried was too much. I loved the creative building techniques Lego used here, and I imagine they are now commonplace for many other sets, but for me whose last purchase was so long ago, many techniques and many pieces were totally new to me. Multiple times I just had to stop and admire a clever structure or a fantastic piece that I wished existed ... MoreThe last Lego set I bought before this one was more than five years ago. I loved the creative building techniques Lego used here, and I imagine they are now commonplace for many other sets, but for me whose last purchase was so long ago, many techniques and many pieces were totally new to me. Multiple times I just had to stop and admire a clever structure or a fantastic piece that I wished existed when I was building my own sets! Overall, it was a joy to build and coupled with the minifigure selection, this makes for a great set that I definitely recommend to other fans of Star Wars and the Mandalorian who can afford it.I only had two small issues with this set, one being that it is hard to grasp it on the sides without pushing the small or large side panels in and breaking them. It is a heavy set, and it would have benefitted from having a clear handle somewhere to hold it up by, kind of like on the Lego Tantive IV like I saw in the pictures. If not, then some kind of stable structure on the sides would have been good to provide a grip.My other minor problem with this set is that there were maybe 6-7 times where Lego clearly made an effort to save pieces in unimportant places. For example, in building the engines, many of the inner 2x3 plates rest on 2x2 bricks, or a 2x4 plate rests on a 2x2 brick. Basically, the holes below some of the plates are not filled in with bricks fully. This also happens in constructing other parts of the ship. While this a completely minor quirk, with no visual and very minor functional consequences, it seems odd to me that I paid this kind of price for a set that takes these little shortcuts. These two are basically the only problems I have in an otherwise magnificent set and I can't wait to see what Lego will come up with for season 2 of the show!
My partner and I got into lego building around Christmas after having a lot of fun building an A-wing fighter, this is our third set since then. So far this one has been the most complex, but I wouldn't describe it as difficult to build. The instructions are very straightforward and the build was really fun. We built the first three bags in an afternoon last weekend and the second three this weekend. The ship looks great and the layout of the interior matches schematics for the Razor Crest on the internet pretty closely. I do wish that it had a gear stick in the cockpit since Grogu's obsession with the silver ball is a pretty memorable part of the series. I've been thinking I might order an antenna brick so I can add one in myself. The interior of the ship is also ... I've been thinking I might order an antenna brick so I can add one in myself. The interior of the ship is also a little bit dark if the sides are not all open, I might try to figure out how to add lights inside so it's easier to see.I noticed a lot of people complaining about the IG-11 minifigure. Honestly, I kind of like it. If I could change anything about it, it would be cool if the arms could move a little more, even if the hand could just rotate (but I'd love it if the arms could move outward even more than that). It is a little bit tall considering the height of the interior of the ship (his head is too tall for some parts of the interior), and it can be a little difficult getting your hands inside the ship to put him inside. The minifigure I was more worried about was actually The Child minifigure, I thought it looked kind of ugly in the photos, but it's very cute in person! I do wish the printing was a little more complete though, it doesn't cover the full torso or extend to the legs and could be coloured better to reflect the characters costume. Maybe some sort of fabric piece like the poncho included for Luke in the landspeeder set would work even better? The face is absolutely adorable though.
The Razor Crest includes The Razor Crest, (duh) The Mandalorian, IG-11, Greef Karga, Grogu and a Scout trooper. The Mandalorian has nice printing same as AT-ST raider, IG-11 is a nice touch, I’m also really glad they added Greef Karga to this set, I’m so glad they added Grogu to this but I’m sad to see his exclusiveness go down with trouble on tatoinne, The scout detail is FANTASTIC and gos great with the new speeder from the AT-AT. The Razor Crest cockpit is ok but there should be some more printed tech pieces on the side along with different colored seats. The escape pod is a great addition to to this set too. The engines really should have been made differently but they aren’t too bothersome. The cargo hold is really spacey and there is a lot of room to add things I really like the 2 people frozen in carbinite too it really adds to the set although it needs a carbonite freezing chamber. Overall this is great set that has a lot of ways to mod and play with.
The Razor Crest is a great Lego vehicle and a fun, rewarding build. It'll take a few hours to complete and the instruction booklet is generally clear and detailed. There's a couple of sections of "where did that small brick go again" but nothing that can't be figured out easily enough. It has a lot of interior details accessible through numerous fold down hatches but is still impressively sturdy. The proportions of the ship are great and the choice of mini-figures is solid. The small details are well considered and really take this to the next level. The clips for the missiles are a well thought out inclusion and the compartment behind the cockpit for storing two weapons is also a great little feature. It can be a little hard to actually access the interior as ... The clips for the missiles are a well thought out inclusion and the compartment behind the cockpit for storing two weapons is also a great little feature. It can be a little hard to actually access the interior as the engines overhang this area so unless you have the ship at eye level you can't easily see the carbonite blocks or see any figures inside the cargo area. This is really down to the design of the ship, not how Lego have created their version as there's not much more they could have done to address this. Some of the visual details on the ship are done with stickers and personally I prefer the old style where it is printed on the part. For some people it may be difficult to line the stickers up straight and I worry that over time they may not stay stuck down, or be very resistant to wear and environment issues.Overall though I think this is a great set and if you're a fan of The Mandalorian you will definitely enjoy this vehicle.
The Razor Crest is an enjoyable build that builds upon features of previous Star Wars sets while introducing some nice touches of its own.I've watched videos reviews on this set and a lot of complaints were around the fact that it didn't feature much of an interior akin to the show itself. While I appreciate budget constraints may have led to this decision it really isn't a huge undertaking to modify this build with the addition of a ladder and a WC where there's space behind the sleeping quarters to put one in. The red seats can be swapped out for black and I actually swapped the heads for the Scout Trooper with Mando since you never see a Scout Trooper's face in the show and I can't believe that they actually skimped on giving Mando a face - much like the LEGO ... It's weighty and feels solid. The concealment of the firing missiles is a nice touch, much like the LEGO Star Wars 75248 Resistance A-Wing Starfighter.IG-11 comes with two sets of arms with differing hand configurations which is a nice touch. The application of decals wasn't taxing either. The only minor criticism I have of the set is that the Scout Trooper without a speeder-bike is a missed opportunity, despite being a welcome addition since he doesn't often pop up in sets. My set suffered from having a brick missing which I've photographed and added to my review. But I've placed an order for a replacement to be sent out which isn't a big deal since Lego Customer Service I've found is very good.If you enjoy the show, love the characters and want a fun build then I would highly recommend this.
Finally, the set based off the hit show is here! The razor crest from the Mandalorian is a fantastic set that for multiple reasons may be my favorite of the year. For 1 the details, the attention to detail is incredibly good. For example the bed that the mandalorian has under his cockpit in the set is accurate in the show as he uses it to hide baby yoda from his friends in episode 5 and 6. The carbonite feature is really well done, and the escape pod is really well made and surprising durable if you accidentally drop it, and I didn’t even know he had it. 2. The minifigures. All of the minifigures seen here do have a good or popular role in The show like the stormtrooper that punches baby yoda in episode 8. Greef Karga with his dual pistol (nice detail) is there with ... Greef Karga with his dual pistol (nice detail) is there with 2 expressions. IG-11 which is exclusive to the set as of now is a bit hard to keep together but really cool to have. The mandalorian/Din Djarin is a tad bit disappointing since he does not have his beskar armor but still good to have. And last but definitely not least, the child. The child is a great mini figure to have and is incredibly small. So small I was surprised and he is easy to lose. 3, playability. This is a good set for kids to play with for its size and characters. You can use many things on the ship to role play with especially since it mostly opens up. In conclusion, this is one of lego’s best sets of the year and I was pleasantly surprised and was a great birthday gift to me as it would be for someone else who loves Star Wars.
