This was the funnest Lego set to build. So clever. The use of the small pieces of Lego to sculpt this model was incredible. It is like a piece of art. All the little details are so special and there are no annoying stickers to apply. All the printed pieces are already printed. It has some really fiddly moments and the instructions are tricky in places so definitely suits older and more experiences builders. I buy a lot of Lego and I went wrong several times during the build. Highly recommended.

This set is the perfect size for displaying and fits wonderfully on my bookshelves.A few things I did notice:1) Some of the instructions are slightly off. I preordered this set prior to its official release. I was super excited for a scaled down version of Hogwarts as I simply did not have the room to display the full-sized castle set. While I look forward to seeing the finished product, my building has been halted due to a number of missing pieces. Mt first missing piece came in bag 9 and unfortunately you don't know the pieces are missing until you find out the hard way mid build. That said, Lego customer service has been working with me to identify and send me any missing pieces. A great set marred by some unfortunate issues. Build on lego fans!
My husband and I adore Legos and we truly adore Harry Potter. We have all of the big Harry Potter Lego sets and weāre so excited to add this to our collection. It is a fantastic set that I love and have proudly displayed, but I will say that this was the first time ever that we saw not just one, but several misprints in the book. It went from one step to another not showing a certain piece but somehow magically that piece was already placed on the next page. Luckily, we are very experienced builders and got it figured out. But we triple checked and this was not us being confused, several of our friends caught the misprints as well and I hope they donāt discourage or challenge any new builders too much. But overall, I adore this set and canāt wait to build more.
I loved it! Iām generally a huge fan of micro scale builds, especially architecture and this definitely fits the bill for that style of set. I enjoyed all the Easter eggs that were included from the first 4 books/movies. I loved that there were no stickers, all pieces were printed on which made the build experience much better! Even though there were a lot of small parts (ie 1x1/1x2 studs, tiles, plates and bricks) this was made up for with the use of sweet techniques like snot plates to add reinforced structural integrity to the overall build and look. It included one minifigure I didnāt know existed so that was fun to read and learn about! Overall fun build and well worth the price!
A beautiful little miniature very reminiscent of the Architecture series, perfect for showcasing on a shelf or desk. The set is intrinsically detailed, with many recognisable locations from the franchise. Assembled building-by-building, you can really see the castle come to life as you piece it together. The absence of stickers is also a very welcome feature; the decaled pieces are pre-painted instead.As a diorama set, there is little room for interactivity once the set is completed. It is very much a display piece rather than a play piece, targeted more towards long-time or older LEGO fans rather than children.

At $170 i would expect fewer errors in the instructions. I feel like the instructions were intentionally expanded to create more steps and to get it to fill 2 books. More could have been completed in each step. It's almost like Lego is trying to make the consumer feel like the set is more than it is. Overall it's a cool set however at $170 I wish I could return it I feel like it would be more appropriately priced at $120-$130 range. It's one of the first sets that I was excited to buy but disappointed throughout the build. I really hope Lego reevaluate their pricing I have every HP set sold by Lego for the past 5 years this is making me reconsider continuing to collect them.
