I unfortunately came across many things.A consumer did notice a mistake on Page 109 of the instructions and it is true. It involved interesting building techniques and parts usage. The display base is full of colours and it allows the product to stand out on its own. Speaking of standing out, much respect for the design team as I believe they nailed it with the Tallneck despite the restrictions to make this an accessible product.Great set, some mistakes in the instructions… but the misprint on the Aloy minifigure, as far as I’m concerned, is not cool at all. One side is just fine, but I don’t like that it happened to THE one that has been shown on the box, on most of the marketing material, and used in the comparison with the actual Aloy from the game in the instructions.

Fans of the Horizon series are undoubtedly familiar with the various landscapes, machines, and environments in the game(s) and this LEGO set captures most of that quite perfectly.You can see the Tall Grass Aloy hides in, dirt terrain, rocky textures, and even a small Watcher to accompany the large Tallneck. There’s even a decrepit stoplight paying homage to the ruins from the Horizon world. Add in one of the most intricate mini figures ever created (Aloy, with spear and Focus details), and this is about as comprehensive of a set as you can get for under $100.Highly recommend; and I sincerely hope LEGO releases more Horizon sets!

As someone who's built Lego sets for the last couple decades, I always love when Lego sets intersect with my other hobbies so picking this one up was a easy choice.It's great for anyone looking for a decent challenge and I felt it was worth it's price-point.My only slight gripe comes from the stickers meant to go on a couple exterior pieces of the construct. I opened my box to discover two of the stickers were missing from the sheet supplied and I didn't see them stuck to any of the other contents of the box. Their absence doesn't really take away from the overall design, it's just a bummer they were missing.But I'm sure it was a fluke and I otherwise had a blast putting it together. If you try and adjust the stance, they fall off again.Last point, a very minor nitpick, the head disc does not sit level, it's either slightly elevated or slightly dipped (as shown in some other reviews pictures).Now, don't let my words put you off, it's a wonderful set and the outcome is amazing. I would hope they do more kits from the Horizon games, I would buy and build.
After collaborating with Overwatch by bringing a wave of interesting products, Lego this time makes a deal with Horizon by adding this unrealistic robot creature Tallneck to its current portfolio. It does not have any intricate building techniques that would surprise you if you are a serious Lego Master builder. However, Lego Tallnech has a very weird aesthetic that makes you feel so right. About the Minifigure, Lego is being very generous by giving us a new hairpiece for Aloy. Arms, torso, legs, and double-side head printing is new as well. If you want to know my nitpicking of this product, that would be the cutting of the stickers. It does not align well, so I choose not to apply them. Other than that, this is a great set. 9/10

For a group of designers that claim to love this franchise, this build is missing something painfully obvious to my eye: the stance of the Tallneck! In game, these machines are *NEVER* simply standing still. They are *constantly* in a state of forward motion. Why then, doesn't their design reflect this? Again, I attempted to amend this oversight to no avail and will resign myself to revert the build to it's original specs since the center of gravity is too high to permit me to simply 'bootleg' a workaround. I can't be the only one who's irked by this... This is my first time leaving a review. I Absolutely love this set! My favorite part of the build had to be the Watcher which is my favorite detail of the set. Over all the build wasn’t repetitive, I was able to watch scenes from the game and some of my favorite moments as I built the tallneck. I would love to see more sets from this theme in the future! I love the mechanical creatures maybe if the series is big enough a UCS watcher build would be very cool with the use of the light up bricks for the eye, or even another creature with more environmental stuff such as taller grass for Aloy to hide in just like the game. Over all I LOVE this build and would love to see more!
