At first I was confused as to why Lego was releasing a second version of the Burj Khalifa, but after putting together this set, I can see why. It is significantly more detailed than the original, showing off more of the unique architectural elements, as it seems like the Architecture series has been doing lately. And while almost twice as tall as the first version, it is significantly more stable. Overall, it was a wise upgrade for Lego to make, as it shows off the graceful beauty and height of the Burj Khalifa much more than its predecessor.

This structure is very well designed. I personally like the fact it's 39cm tall as it's never enough to appreciate the 829.8m real skyscraper.The colour itself is quite bright, it would have been interesting to see more 'glass' representation as the original structure. I visited Dubai during the summer and after going to the top of the tower, bought the original Burj Kahlifa model. Building this brought back memories of the trip. The model itself is much more detailed and a better representation of the building than the previous offering from Lego. Love how tall it is comparing to the other skyscrapers in the collections. Very fitting.

I like the Architecture theme, it's different to other themes in the sense the models are something you see in real life as well as in model form. As for this model of the Burj Khalifa, which is the world's tallest building Lego have made a point with this model by marketing it as the tallest Architecture structure and it doesn't disappoint, though not as wide or chunky as the Eiffel Tower, this model stands up tall and proud towering above my other Architecture models.Play wise, like all others in this theme isn't great but don't forget that isn't the point of the Architecture theme, but I suppose it would make a great addition to any Lego City set! As for the price, I suppose it could be a little cheaper but I'm not complaining too much.
Fun set to build & nice addition to the architecture collection. Fairly good representation of the actual building in Dubai. Pieces go together easily as long as you follow instructions. Directions are clear but the set might be advanced for younger kids.
Having stood on the 125 floor of this building a few months ago I knew I had to have this, so was really pleased then this new set was released.It's a really great representation of the real thing, and I love all the information in the book.The build is quite repetitive (but not in a bad way) due to the nature of the building so you do need to keep your wits about you so as not to miss the slight changes is the model grows (up and up and up)I also love the size.....it is a really really tall building and deserves a big model!! It towers nicely over my Empire State buildingThe biggest irony is in the Top of the World shop on the 125th floor they are still selling the older design!!! I'd love to have bought this set whilst in the actual building.

As long as the models of the buildings continue to grow in detail, scale and quality I think the Lego Architecture series will start growing in potential!Last detail however is the price, which I feel is still a bit too high for the brick count. Lego is tackling this theme for a second time. This set is a much better representation of the subject matter than the first effort and a welcome addition to the archetecture series. Easy build, reasonable price. Remember, 'repetitive build' comments have no place when discussing archetecture series sets. Virtually every real building is an exercise in repetitive action.Nice set and welcome addition to a true AFOL collection.
This is a great design of the real life Burj Khalifa. It's sleek and not chunky at all, if anything the colors are a bit boring, but that's just how the building itself is.This is not too challenging a set, but you have to pay attention while placing the pieces, as one mistake and you'll have to go back.The price is fair on this one, if your looking for an Architecture set to buy, this could be a great choice.
I wanted to get a good Architecture set, but some of the Skylines were too expensive, and the others I didn't really want to get, so, out of the few remaning sets, as I did some research and found that it was popular.I spent about an hour putting it together and for the first 2/3 of the lower section, most was built 3 times to attach the plates onto the side.Once fully built, she is really tall, and great to hold, and swoosh it around, as it is so wide at the base, even though it is a building and not supposed to fly (it does look a bit like a rocket though...) (My autism acting out)If you like grey parts, and building things more than 2 times at once then buy this set!
