These were very useful for the train layout we made recently. The layout is much more interesting than a circle or oval shaped track. The price I paid at Walmart was very good, too.

The tracks work great. Easy to assemble and stays together. However you don't get a lot of track. You would have to buy a lot these too get a decent size track. We bought two packs of just track and the train with tracks. We only have about a 3' diameter train track setup.

I have always liked Lego trains and track. If you are reading this Lego PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER MONORAIL SYSTEM! PLEASE!! However back to the point. These switches are great, work well, and are a must for any train layout, especially a train yard. I appreciate the inclusion of extra curved track, but the price to me feels a bit steep for six pieces of track. Given there are no metal parts too I think these could be a bit cheaper, even if that means sacrificing the extra curved track for a cheaper price tag. However that aside these are great tracks that work very well. Keep up the trains Lego!

These work just as you would expect. LEGO always offers a top quality product, and this is no exception.By adding these tracks to your route, you will add quite a lot of flexibility and playability. These fit well with all the other LEGO tracks that are currently available ( LEGO City Tracks 60205 Building Kit (20 Piece) ) and I think you'll find them to be easy to use when it comes to expanding your train route.As with all LEGO brand tracks, the high quality comes with a cost, but if you're looking for the best, then LEGO is the way to go.I recommend these tracks and think they are crucial to have if you have a LEGO train.Happy bricking!
We bought the passenger train, and I wanted to make the track longer and more interesting. There was no way to add meaningfully to that set with this alone, though we did use the switch tracks as straight tracks to make our oval bigger. Kind of disappointing that there was no way to fully or meaningfully build them together, but I guess we will just have to solve that by buying a whole bunch more track (and a bigger table!)
Do not but these sets. It's full of crossing sections that makes it useless. It needs more straight and curved lines instead of a bunch of crossings. I bought two packs of this plus what came with the train-set and my kid still couldn't make a loop. I couldn't make it either. My kid cried over this several times. Do not buy this set.
It's a switch track, and it works as expected. When approaching from the front, it'll divert your train in whichever direction you it set to, using the yellow lever. The track is spring loaded, so when approaching from the rear, it'll continue on it's way, without derailing, regardless of which direction you have it set to.It's LEGO, so while it's pricey plastic, you know you're getting a quality product, and they have your back if anything is broken or missing from any of your sets.
After searching many places I finally found these extra LEGO train tracks at Purple Turtle Toys, and the online purchase and pick up was simple. These were a present and the recipient couldn’t wait to get home and add to his them to his set. We also got a free playmobil figurine which my son loved. Everybody was happy!
It's lego, so its awesome. It's also overpriced for how little plastic you get in the box. If you're going to do lego trains, expect to buy hundreds of dollars worth of track to build an interesting layout. The same applies to duplo trains and track. On the plus side, my kids got years of play out of the duplo trains; which are still fully functional, and will be handed down tograndkids i suppose. We're just making the transition to lego trains. We're doing it, but I don't like the price.
A must to add to your Lego train collection. They connect to the old 12v and 9V tracks, but be aware they have no metal connections so it does not provide power, does not matter if you have the newer bluetooth Lego trains though (60197 & 60198)..Strongly suggest you pair this with the extra tracks box to give you more freedom to extend your tracks especially if you purchased the Lego Passenger Train set 60197.It does not come with any straight or flexible tracks, only the curve and switch tracks.Either way, great value for money and worth it.
