We love Lego in our house and I’m trying to expand our possibilities with a basic brick set. I bought this item in store and it was missing the orange, red, yellow, green, tan and black bricks. I checked another box in the store when trying to exchange the first box and it was also missing those pieces. Be sure to check the box before your kids get too far into it! You may be shorted a ton of bricks! I like the variety of this set in theory but can’t get my hands on a full set. Too bad.

The name of the set and as it is presented in photography is misleading. I was looking for MAINLY bricks for my 5yo boy for building houses and other basic contructions. Apparently Lego is nog offering a large brick set with only larger type of blocks (bricks, wheels, plates, doors, windows). So I was hoping this would be satisfying enough. Disappointed when we opened it and found that most of the pieces are small odd-shaped specialty pieces that younger kids can't use for building structures. 1500 blocks (actually more, cause I also bought 11009 (bricks and lights) with all these little nic nacs and still not being able to build a decent size house... Really shouldn't be called a brick set.

I like the color assortment in this set of bricks and plates. A good starter set. Only one disappointment, and it’s my fault for not reading the description more carefully. I thought I was getting 16” square plates; but instead they were 16-stud square plates. I’m a novice at Legos so didn’t pick up on the description. Oh well.....

This was such a good price I couldnt pass it up. It is a huge collection of LEGO blocks of all sizes and colors. There are several extra pieces to really get the creative juices flowing. Who doesnt love legos? Even adults enjoy snapping them together to build something. There are several ideas included to get you started. My grandsons were thrilled to get this box for Christmas. Now if they will just keep them picked up so mom and dad dont step on them.
AFOL:I've bought 2 of these boxes so far...I use these for moc/original builds/supplemental pieces.Often priced around $40, marked down from $70. That is a bargain for 1500 crispy new pieces!Huge variety, and i appreciate the specialty pieces. (Except too many circle 1Ă—1 eyeball tiles. Silly. I'd trade those for an additional door. Ya only get 1 door. And 3 windows.)The (4) 16Ă—16 plates are great for house/bldg builds.
Excellent value! This is a large set that kept the grandkids AND grandparents involved for hours! The included base platforms are a bonus! We are considering purchasing an additional set! There is no storage container, so we used ziploc bags and the original box they came in. Wonderful!
I love LEGOS! Every Christmas, I order the SPECIAL PRICING deal that Walmart offers, of them, to boost my inventory of building blocks. This 1500 block collection is such a GREAT ADDITION, and at SUCH A GREAT WALMART PRICE! Who could resist?! I still build with LEGOS, and I am a grown adult, now. Everyone of ALL AGES loves LEGOS.
These are perfect for our needs! My LO loves legos. We have bought several Lego sets however she only uses the pieces to make her own creations. I was happy to find this set. It had all the color and tile varieties you could need. Finally I’m not hearing her complain about not having pieces she needs to fit to complete her build design. Not to mention the price was great!!
A lot of legos for the price! They are great quality and colors. The only thing I don’t like about these kits is I want more of the classic bricks and less of the random special shapes.
just bought this box, because of the plates it shows and by the big box assuming the plateals were large, when opening i see no plates until i took everything out it came with 4 small plates that are hardly bigger than my hand... whats the point of the huge box if everything could have fitted in a med/large box and figured the plates werent big but instead small!! Its still a good deal but the plates was deceving, no where on the box it says for the size of the plates like they have for the actual legos. They could have put actual size like they did for the other lego pcs.. everything that came in the box was hardly filled to the middle.... so what was the point of not putting the actual size of it and in a huge box!
