It is heart breaking to review this beautiful and specially designed kit. It has enchanting characteristics like it’s hight, the colorful curves, the 11 mini figures beautifully dressed and prepared to roll through the coater; the hot dog, ballon and pretzel carts, at any rate, a spectacular scenery and details that should have made it an amazing kit. But, and there is the ā€œBUTā€ which stains the effort placed by the artist/engineer who spent endless hours designing such a wonderful kit that does not properly work as expected and makes an engineering marvel, a small flaw of engineering in the eyes of some, and I. I do have to echo the voice of those who found a flaw in the elevator system, a flaw that takes away most, if not, all of the ability to play and fully enjoy the total beauty of the Coaster. Manually, raising it is a disaster! It is almost impossible to raise the track and coaster car at a good pace without jerks due to the ratio of the gears! And when they get to the top, they try to leave racing out, most times derailing. Amazing how fast they go down the slope and how neet they take the loops! That is impressive! Then they come to a stop, some of the times, that is if the track has not slammed down and is out of alignment or worst! I tried the power up function and the situation got even worse. The motor is too fast; the tray mostly stays half way and the coaster carts smash against the lower stop or came out of the track; in other instances the coaster cart already was down and the elevator smashed down against it! I tried a different slower type motor, the large low rpm, and it kind of worked better but still the counter weight had difficulties! One thing I noticed is that the tower, no matter what I do to it, it alwasy has some curvature, it is not perfectly straight. I used some crazy glue to prevent some of the bricks from coming loose since I understand the weight is not rhe problem but haven't had the time to sit and play more with it. I guess it has not been a good seller, I bought mine the same night it became available and it has never been backordered as I expected! Truthfully, I was going to purchase another for a nephew but after my experience, decided against it. I am sorry not being able to give a good or better review on this one. I am a Lego enthusiast and lover of almost 50 years; have built hundreds of intricate and multi thousands brick Lego's! However on this one, well, I beleive it still needed some work before turning it to us. Perhaps some retrofitting will be available later for use to purchase or free and fix it or better yet, we will work some fixes on our own!

While I was a little skeptical about this set utilizing an elevator system to raise the roller coaster, but it did not disappoint. More-so than prior coaster offerings, this set runs very reliably continuously with a motor, with the timing of the elevator's reset, train's return, and next lift cycle lining up well. (Though, I only run if for a few minutes at a time.)It was a fun build, and for those who have loved the idea of Lego creating a modern, looping coaster... this delivers. Now some nits: It has a fairly short track cycle for how fast the train moves, so I imagine it would be fun to purchase a second set in order to experiment with a second hill beyond the loops. This is the first set with a swooping-steel inspired loading platform, just as you'd expect from a coaster in this style.

Great… when it works.

The main selling point of this set is obviously its mechanic to lift coaster carts all the way up the drop, and have it loop back around and repeat seamlessly. I absolutely love this when it actually works. I’ve rebuilt whole sections and have checked over instructions multiple times but even then the carts will occasionally get stuck at the top. I’d say maybe 80% of the time it works flawlessly, otherwise the carts end up getting stuck at the top; as in they aren’t able to fully transition from the lift to the rest of the coaster at the top. Again, i’ve checked over the build a ridiculous amount of times so I know for certain I haven’t built anything wrong but even then the mechanism just doesn’t work nearly as well as it should. $400 for something to maybe work is ...Ā MoreThe main selling point of this set is obviously its mechanic to lift coaster carts all the way up the drop, and have it loop back around and repeat seamlessly. I’m not alone in this either, others online are complaining about alignment issues at the top. As for my issue it seems like a lack of polish of the design itself as it appears to be perfectly aligned, it’s just the mechanism itself is sloppy and unreliable. First Lego purchase that I can honestly say i’ve regretted. Pretty disappointed:(

I recently got into Lego and thought I would get into modular buildings. But THIS THING! I am inspired to build Brick Flags amusement park. This coaster features an elevator lift, VERTICAL DROP and two loops! A log flume would be nice too.Bottom Line: I like how they included extra track pieces in the station and counterweight, perfect for making custom designs. This set introduces several new pieces, so I hope some are introduced in upcoming sets in new colors. I’d like to build a wild mouse coaster and launch coaster. Until then, custom designs will have flame yellowish-orange track to make use of the new pieces.

First, let me start by saying that this build is not as repetitive as you'd think it might be after building the first roller coaster. I found it to be a refreshing build where I got to play with it as I built it, putting the cars on the incomplete track to see them complete the first loop, etc. I found a few spots that look like they need bricks still or decorative pieces to help blend the piece more. I feel like the prices of the track pieces made them sacrifice certain aspects while still providing an overall appealing product. A little adjustment is needed early on to ensure that you are getting everything lined up assuming you built it correctly. I found the only tedious parts were building the chain but other than that I had a lot of fun building the large structures just seeing how tall everything was getting. I love the squirrel joke and ordered 5 more to put around the set. Also the lady bug on the steps was a cute detail. I love little aspects like that. Only thing is there was one path for everything and I feel like they should have had an exit, but that's a nitpick. The mini figures are nice and I am fond of the older woman with gray hair and double sided head. I got the set on sale during Black Friday and can say I was happy with the price I paid. I'm not sure if others will agree, but I was satisfied. Especially with the price increase.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This set was absolutely amazing, from the detailed directions and labeled packaging and diagrams (which even put a true to size picture to match up the actual size pieces), and how seamless it all came together. The only problem that I could say was that I am meticulous about every single piece being accounted for, and do them start to finish on the dining room table, and there was one piece missing (fortunately not a main structural piece that would have prevented me from finishing it, but just an aesthetic piece), which was not the end of the world, but annoying that it is one piece shy of perfection! Once finished I was really eager to get the coaster going and the first dozen times would not work (the track didn't quite line up, so the cars kept getting stuck), but LEGO's awesome troubleshooting was so helpful, that I can now say it works at least 95% of the time and only gets stuck once in a while.I understand why it's an adult set, but honestly any teen could do this (as long as they follow the directions), it's a really easy build.I would suggest this set to anyone who is an avid LEGO enthusiast, and who has extra free time to build it!Great product...love, love, love, LEGO's!!!

The LEGO Loop Coaster (LOOP) is a massive rollercoaster fairground set measuring almost one meter in height (Similar width), including two rollercoaster loops, raising platform tower, and several delicate LEGO mechanisms such as counterweight and cart brake system! LOOP is a striking piece for display purposes with its dark blue and yellow color scheme. The LEGO set consists of more than 3700pcs including 11 mini figures, several fairgrounds equipments eg. Pretzel/balloon and Hot Dog stands . The total value of this set is ok (But not great) in particular due to the lack of a LEGO motor system, which should’ve been a standard part of this set . You don’t race through this build even as an experienced LEGO builder - which is good 😊 although LOOP is an expensive set, I can highly recommend the set to all LEGO fans looking for a fun construction/building challenge and some fine LEGO engineered mechanisms. The final model stands grand as one remarkably cool and beautiful display piece!

I have the original rollercoaster and absolutely adore that set so when this was announced I knew I had to get it. I put off buying the set upon release and monitored the reviews to see what the consensus was. Reviews were generally poor considering how great the set looked.I decided to purchase the set and after building it, I can only agree with the majority of the reviews. Firstly, the build is mundane, pretty much bare bones construction at low levels and the tower is a chore to build. The build need reviewing, it’s poor. Once the ride is going, after a few laps the whole thing starts to break apart. The issue, like most have pointed out, lies with the counterweight, it is too light resulting in striking the mechanism at the top, separating bricks in the ...Ā MoreI have the original rollercoaster and absolutely adore that set so when this was announced I knew I had to get it. The issue, like most have pointed out, lies with the counterweight, it is too light resulting in striking the mechanism at the top, separating bricks in the process. You can easily add other bricks to the mechanism to sort it out but at Ā£350, this shouldn’t be the case. The tower itself isn’t solid enough to keep the ride on plane, the amount of times the cars get to the top to find the tracks are misaligned is frustrating.Overall, if you’re on the fence, give it a miss. It is vastly overpriced and too temperamental to be considered a good purchase. One of the only sets that I am actually looking forward to getting rid of.

've been excited about a new fairground ride, the Loop Coaster, since it was first announced! This set is massive and the vibrant colors are ideal. Blue and yellow-orange go together perfectly. It's well-designed, the ride is smooth, and the elevator concept is unique and entertaining to watch as it's built! I adore it! The construction of this set was smooth and varied; the only redundant part was the elevator chain. Overall, I give this set two thumbs up for its cleverness and fun build, as well as the color scheme chosen by the Lego group. Yes, I did read all the one-star reviews for this set about the elevator lift getting stuck and the cars getting stuck sometimes, and yes, I have dealt with these kinds of issues, but they are fixable and super easy; you need ...Ā More've been excited about a new fairground ride, the Loop Coaster, since it was first announced! After fixing it, like taking a few chains off, my loop coaster has been operating smoothly and nicely. Overall amazing set!
