My son is a huge Ninjago fan, alongside being a huge LEGO fan. Here's 8 years old, this build challenged him enough without being overwhelming. I received this right in time for Christmas. He received a ton of other Lego builds, but this was his first choice. He did need a little bit of assistance but not much. The fact that this had launching projectiles made it even more fun. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to Lego!

This Lego Ninjago Boulder Blaster is really cool. The design is different then the other Lego sets our family has, which made it even more exciting once it was put together. My son also loves the Lego Characters. This set comes with 4. Lego is such a quality product that is a household favorite for us. We were very impressed with the design on this boulder blaster. The cannon in front is very well made. I love the way it spins in the front and also spins the other parts. The engineering on the trigger and the shooting mechanism is really well designed. It shoots pretty far too. I would highly recommend this set to others.

The build is very solid for the size. It also proves to be a very straight forward set with what you it. The handle is a great inclusion, but I do feel it could be longer for some people. The shooting function works great and is very unique. But probably the best part of the build is the new Canopy piece, which looks awesome. The side build is a good inclusion, but I feel it could be left out and nothing would change. The minifigures are good enough. Golden Kai is a major draw to the set, and he's a great figure. This Lego set was pretty challenging for my seven year old but it was also very fun having time with him to help him along the way. Legos have always been a great past time so that kids and parents can collaborate with one another and accomplish projects. This particular set had lots of small pieces that were perfect for my seven year olds fingers. He could get into the little spots to snap pieces together much easier than I could with my bigger fingers. We worked as a team to accomplish the model in a days time. He loves to fly the ship around the house and pretend that he is part of the ninja crew. This is one of my favorite Lego sets that we have ever worked!
I have a 11 year old Son that is obsessed with legos. He put this particular piece together in three days. It definitely is challenging and I would not recommend to first tome builders. Would start with something less complicated. This piece is very sharp looking and definitely one that deserves to be displayed. I would include a photo but a day after assembling my son decided to take apart and try again at a later day. I would definitely recommend this product to all. Well built and a fun time consuming experience.

I mainly purchased this set because of the exclusive 10th anniversary golden kai minifigure. the actual build itself the roto jet aka the boulder blaster is quite similar to the original except a few colour changes and extra pieces but overall is a pretty cool build. in this set you get legacy Lloyd which is quite common and legacy Cole and eyezore. my only main issue is that when I pick up the set the bullets will randomly shoot and I find that annoying. but it is a good set and I suggest picking it up you won't be disappointed

I had no issue with the firing mechanism, which works really well, aside from losing the shooters and accidently shooting myself in the face 3 times in a row, but I really enjoyed this.4 stars, only because of the sticker issue, and I can't wait to pick up other legacy sets.
I got this for my 6 year old son. It was challenging for him to built it but he managed. The plane is quite large and bulky, but it has great details including some nice sticker additions. The shooter is amazing and we played with it hours shooting on different lego targets and the box :) The prison is a simple built but it is also playable. When you pull the top the ladder drops and you can free the captured ninja. Alternatively, you can shoot it with the plane and open the the gate !!! This set also comes with 4 minifigures. I think the amount of stuff you get justifies the price.
