I did have a single missing peice but If you go to the website you can request the missing peice free of charge.i just got the one that the product manager didn't check which is fine I don't mind. Bought this for my boyfriend's birthday as he loves legos and Star Wars. I don't know anything about legos or Star Wars, so I bought the first thing that I recognized—R2-D2. The lego came in a massive box. I thought I was mistakenly sent a small table, but the lego filled most of the package. I thought he would be about 1/4th of the size. Massive lego. I Gave it to my boyfriend right before moving in with him, and he freaked out. Has barely spoken to me for a week because he's too busy building it. 10/10.

I bought this Lego set for myself for my birthday because I’m a huge Star Wars fan. The beginning build was going smoothly then I noticed something didn’t line up with the middle leg. I had to deconstruct and reassemble everything. When I got to the final head piece I spun R2s head around and it went flying off and shattered into a bunch of pieces. But it was completely my fault. So I had to rebuild the last bag of pieces again. It was frustrating but once completed it was a really cool piece of Star Wars to have in my room. Hopefully it’ll be worth a lot more in thr future.

I ordered this as soon as it became available because... it's R2! This model looks good and has lots of fun hidden features. The build is somewhat challenging, but not too hard. The end result is definitely worth it and makes for a great showpiece model. It would be nice if it angled a little bit more than it does, but that's just a minor complaint. The design is great.
Lego products are always a hit at our house. R2D2 is no exception! Macy's was an unexpected great option to purchase Legos as I was able to both pair a credit card based merchant discount as well as earn star dollars on the purchase. As I am always one to search out a great deal, I will remember to look at Macy's again in the future. They have made a convert out of me!
I bought this as a gift for my wife. The finished build looks great and the opening doors and foot that drops down are nice additions. She thought the build was a bit on the technical side with a lot of Lego technic pieces in the middle and didn't enjoy that part as much as some other builds like the millennium falcon or stranger things house. Unfortunately R2D2 was missing some pieces and we had to contact Lego to get the replacements. Overall, a great looking build but be warned that there is some technical building if you aren't into that kind of a Lego kit.
I’ve been wanting this one for over a year now, finally brought myself to spend the $200 and honestly it’s irritating that pieces are missing from such an expensive set. I’m only on bag 4 and 4 pieces are missing from this bag. I know you can contact LEGO for replacements but it’s ****** I have to pause this build to wait for pieces now.I’m a huge Star Wars fan and r2 D2 is needed for my collection but if I would’ve known about the missing pieces issue I would think twice about getting this one. Debating returning it honestly.
This is such an expensive and beautiful piece, however there were multiple missing items and I almost couldn’t finish it, and I have no idea why. But this is my second Lego set I have ever bought and I don’t know if this is a Lego problem or an issue with the distributor, but I’m super bummed and I wish I could get my money back, I’ve borrowed piece from my friend here and there, but it’s not just an easy build. So with that, I wouldn’t buy this. Not for $200 that’s so upsetting.
My family loves Legos, and this kit is no exception. We had a great time putting it together, just like all the rest. Putting pieces like this together is a great time to spend with the family. It brings us together when we spend time working and having fun together. I would recommend Legos to everyone, all the time! Don't hesitate to spend time with your kids. Some day they will be grown up and gone, make memories with them that will last a lifetime and are priceless!
We bought this for our daughter's 23rd birthday and she was so excited. She has built other Star Wars Lego projects so she was able to navigate the instructions with only a couple goof ups that she had to redo. The R2 is bigger than the other things she has done and at 2,000+ pieces there's a lot of steps. She couldn't put it down and so she was done after a couple of LONG nights. It's pretty spendy for a box of teensy plastic bricks but the look on her face was well worth it. The level of detail is really impressive on it.Now we have to find a place to keep him...
