If you are a John Deere fan and a Lego fan, this is the perfect set for you. The scale for the tractor feels right. If you are just a Lego fan looking for another set, then this might be a pass? It only has two functions, the steering and the dump on the trailer. The turn radius of the steering is limited, and there are several large stickers that can be tricky to put on straight. It does seem to be a pretty robust build holding up to my two year old playing with it (with supervision). The biggest appeal is that there is finally a John Deere Licensed Lego set.

If you want an enjoyable but relatively quick build experience, this is the set for you! The Technic pieces were not too brutal on my fingers & nails. Also sticker placement was not a headache like it usually is (for me). Looks great on display and also has cool moveable features. I wish the "cart" portion had a rear door to store items securely, but this is a very small critique.

Great. My 10 year old found this online somewhere and wanted to spend his own money to get this set. It was almost $50. I found it on Walmart.com on sale for $28. It arrived quickly, and he couldn’t wait to put it together. It kept him fully engrossed for a couple of hours, and now he plays with the tractor and trailer quite often.I asked if he wanted me to take it apart so he could put it together all over again, and he looked at me like I was a madwoman!! This Lego technic John Deere 4WD tractor was a great wonderful building with the little boy! Lego once again out did their self with this build kit. It is very realistic right down to the last piece! My son enjoyed putting it together I did help but I also just set back and watch him do almost all of the work. This is a wonderful collection to add to his Lego build sets. It was a challenge to build but the realistic movement and mechanisms that was put into this master work makes it worth having it! Way to go Legos!
The John Deere Tractor was realistic and a solid build from Technic that our 5 year old was able to piece together. We added a story about the invention of the tractos for his interest. The gearbox was intricate and interesting for his age group. The dump trailer was also a regularly reused piece to move pieces and boxes. Highly recommend this lego build for kids that enjoy watching things go and having mini construction sites at home.
