I have had and still have quite a few Panasonics and Panasonic Leicas (and a Digilux zoom made by Fujifilm). They are repairable to a point but for sure Leica owners take better care of their equipment. The D-LUX 3 I just bought is a perfect example. It's like new. Unfortunately for Panasonic, my best cameras are Canon! I have some old Jenoptiks and a Rollei, also great. Never had a Nikon digital but had a Nikkormat ELW which was not the greatest. If you buy a new Lumix or have a lot of money get a new Leica made in Germany and you won't be disappointed. And Leicas hold their value. Or buy a Canon.
